I agree with your sentiment but you have to know that this does not happen out of nowhere. It takes months of practice and preparation to produce a perfomance like this. I speak as a pianist myself so I know what it takes.
I've heard many, many versions of this over the years and I have to say that this performance is one of the cleanest I have ever heard. There are some extremely dense chordal passages that can be very muddy, even in the hands of the great concert pianists but Traum, you've managed to make every one of the very dense harmonies distinct and cohesive. There are many middle voices that often get lost in a wash of pedal but I was able to hear them all very well here, not to mention the great cadenza. Very, very well done Traum, a fantastic perfomance.
@@arcanios806 when I say the word 'version' I'm referring to many different artists interpretations of the rhapsody, far too many to pick out any 1 in particular. Why, don't you belive me? Articulate, dynamic, and the feeling doesn't get lost or become an after-though to the technicallity. The Friska was glorious. It only gets worse as you get better.
It always feels like your repertoire goals are moving further away, the more you learn. But at some point it’ll reverse. For me it was quite sudden when I realized that i was capable of learning the piece I always thought I’d never learn. As long as you keep challenging your capabilities, it’ll come at some point
I started this piece when I was 13, and 20 years later I’m still struggling at playing it😂
Dang unc don't give up@@Richardzeng1998

I actually laughed out loud when I read the comment that said he posted before you!
Traum did it again! 😍
Had my phone still on 1,5 from the previous video and didn’t notice the entire video. There were so many moments where I just thought: How?! I’m playing piano since several years and would never be able to play it like him…
Just had to come back to this video because I was just laughing for 1 minute straight when I noticed 😂😂😂
this MIGHT just be the greatest piece of music ever written
