11:40 when you raised the render distance to 64, it loaded multiple End-cities along with all the shulkers in them. The shulkers took the mob cap and Endermen couldn't spawn.
I believe that any mob that generates with a structure (i.e. Shulkers in End Cities or Piglin Brutes in Bastion Remnants) does *not* in fact count towards the mob cap (on Java at least).
I could be wrong, though. Would explain why the Endermen were not spawning.
You make End City raiding look so easy and here I sit 1300+ days into my world and I still haven't gotten up the nerve to attempt the dragon fight for the first time. I'm fully (diamond) geared, swimming in iron, leather, wool and anything else you can build a farm for... I am about to go bed-mine for Ancient Debris and think about what a wuss I am. I bow to you Sir Wattles - you're the man!

I think a frog light farm would be fun... Would involve exploration and possibly bastion clearing too.
Pro tip: The snowball has the same trajectory as the ender pearl. You can use snowballs, to make sure the ender pearls land where you need.

Except how can you see where they land? I'm actually pretty disappointed by Wattles EP throws... it looks like they were deliberately thrown to 'fail'; giving him the excuse to do the 'lazy' bridging.. (although I guess you if you go geared up in Netherite, you really don't want to lose it all).
@@GoshenWatts The easiest way to see where they land is optifind. I don't use optifind, so you can use a spyglass to make sure. I do just prefer bridging though.
I'm impressed he went through both cities and didn't use any chorus fruit, I usually teleport my sorry butt outta there real quick when I'm taking damage. I even use them fighting endermen, "look who can teleport too, mofos!". Impressed he went toe to toe with the shulkers in the big tower too, I actually saw some of my best armor despawn in there trying to get it back after wiping.

Well now that you have an elytra, I think you should do a dual Creeper/Paper Farm. Possibly have them funnel into chests right next to each other?
I think 18 shulker boxes is the perfect amount for a single player world. Enough for 2 rows in an Ender chest.
18 shells would make 9 boxes

17 gives you the full color spectrum and a natural - but depending on how you use them it is easy to have a working number higher than that. Especially when you name a few for particular use, like a flying box for rockets and spare elytra or tools for your backup tools. I find that I keep around 24 on me at all times with 21 in the Ender Chest and the other three in my inventory. That way I can have my 2-3 of backup tools, equipment, and supplies (rockets, XP for emergency elytra repairs, etc) always in the ender chest, have a few in my inventory to just drop and clear my inventory into, and I only have to do the EC thing when the three in my inventory are sufficiently full that I want to flip them out for fresh ones.

Nice job on the End City raid. I was not so lucky with mine! I only got 20 shells and almost a set of armor. The luck was not on my side. But I'm glad my favorite British Lad did well!!

you should build a cactus block to stop your boat and put some hoppers under the cactus so the boat can be easily transfered to a chest after you connect all the hoppers to a chest

I usually end raid until I have a shulker of shulker shells and then never have to bother with the End every again in the world. 🤷🏻♂️😂

Know it doesn't help with first time through an end gateway but if you place a block or torch on top of the peak and fill the corners you will always come through on one of those corners. So making a platform under it actually makes it safe. Got tired of always spawning on the edge of the abyss without a massive platform.
After witnessing Wattles create a temple for the incorrect animal, Birb plotted some new plans...
There will one day be a generation that will go into the end without pausing their games and having no fear of falling into the abyss.

Wait, you've never seen it where the enderman are virtually non-existent? Shulkers count towards the mob cap despite the fact that they are persistent. When you come across a large end city with enough shulkers, they act like a mob switch - no enderman in sight. I've seen that happen multiple times.
Maybe do a bamboo farm for scaffolding.

i was exploring a city with a friend yesterday when I got absolutely destroyed by the shulkers in the center tower that has two chests at the top.
Have to say, I paused and went check that Deny’s gear slam and was… not disappointed..

Personally I feel Minecraft should’ve added a flying mount and not the elytra. Or the elytra could have only been a glider, and no rocket feature. Elytra is just op and a flying mount would have been awesome. A flying mount could still be good. One no durability and rocket cost, and it could be faster than the elytra. That way the elytra is still useful for short travel, but more long range a flier would be better.

I think the endermen snuck off and built a giant bomb deep beneath your base while they knew you were away. It’s the only explanation
I got a City with Ship in under 2 minutes, around 300 blocks from my end gateway. Luckiest thing ever. Not to mention on the same world I got 5 wither skulls in a little over 1 minute. I think my world has god luck turned on.

On bedrock you can shoot your arrow and quickly switch to y our looting sword to apply looting to whatever you kill :) I thought it was a fake trick until my friend and I went end busting and he got 8 shells and I got 23

I’m not sure if this works on Java edition and it might be a bug but on bedrock edition if you are levitating and you have an elytra on and you try to fly, you’ll actually glide down like you don’t even have levitation. I use that to keep from floating so high
