Cant you make some little changs to the crouption systim its too stuped to know which guard is croupt whitout someone snich on them and just simply fire the guard instid of arresting them

how does that mechanic work on escape mode?
Should be able to identify the corrupt guards using "snitches" and other intel and not be always accessible info, and then once found, you should be able to click a button and they turn into a prisoner, within your prison with a "Ex-Law Enforcement" tag and a sentence for conveying illicit items.
And then the non corrupt guards will be particularly aggressive against that former guard.
The only reason they would decline this addition to the DLC is because guards getting arrested in the prison they were working in, is unlikely.
But an architect getting arrested in he’s own prison for failing to manage a riot, witch isn’t really an architect’s responsibly.

I still really want more deadly riots. I can easily bring down 100 prisoners with 10 gaurds.

lets hope mod makers can you the script from the DLC and use it to make new gang mods that not only add more verity but make it so that we can raise the cap of total amount of gangs that can be in a single facility. Having 6 gangs in a prison would make a chatotic by very fun playthough :D
@@herbivorethecarnivore8447 I would be surprised if the code wasn't modular. Why would they write specific code for each gang?

if the jackals goal is prison control why do they escape when there demands are not met
Perhaps their primary goal is to get rich, and prison control is the best way to achieve that. Other than escaping the prison so they can get back to earning real money on the streets again. Escape attempts being pretty risky, so that could be the reason why they are only done when they get arrogant enough with all the power they hold.
I haven't played this game in years, I may come back with this DLC, gangs were boring to me before and it's a huge part of a prison.
Would love to have the ability to control the level of narcotics in my prison. Even with 100+ guards and dogs narcotics never go away

from all the paid DLC, only this one looks interesting and relevant to the game
All of them have their own merits. Island Bound gives you a ton of logistical options, Criminally Insane adds a new class of prisoner for you to play with, Going Green gives you more labour and energy options, Second Chances adds more reform options, and now Gangs makes the Gang system a little more interesting. It all depends on what you want.
Anyone else still waiting for the great escape DLC for PC? What if we can combine the Psych Ward with escape mode, island bound too, and the gang DLC.
I think corruption in guards is a fantastic mechanic but it looks like it really needs more depth. Honestly I'd rather see the DLC delayed and price tag increased than just as it's described. Hopefully we'll be getting a video where corruption isn't so obvious and it's more of a 'level' of corruption, one that decreases based on pay; increases if they're in danger/wounded or see their fellow staff dying.
Anything but just a boolean corrupt/not corrupt - it shouldn't be so simple!
Yeah true, firing corrupt guards endlessly is a bit annoying as well, wish we could automate it with an intelligence agency or something.

Yea, why is it you can't arrest any corrupt officers? It's like "Jim, you smuggled in some drugs which ultimately led to an officers death. We're going to have to let you go".

it would make more sense if you couldn't really know for sure which guards are corrupt, or have a lot of data about each gang without having informants

Can you join a gang in escape mode?
no, however u can recruit the gang members to your team. which:
1 doesn't make no sense - as that means they betrayed their previous gang
2 escape mode has like never been touched, ever. where's the ability to corrupt guards?. gain territory? fight other gangs in gang fights?. there's nothing
3 recruiting a gangs member to your team does nothing, it acts like a normal prisoner, u don't get on the gangs good or bad side. well u cant do anything with the gangs, they'll act like they ain't a gang even when u kill their leader
Hey cant you make the crupt officers icon hidden and make it revals when someone snich then out becouse thats too easy and dont make sense the player be able to know whos croupt and simply fire them i think you should be able to arrest croupt guards and detain them.

There is, you know a guard is corrupt if you have atleast 1 Confidential Informant and researched guard vetting
you cant arrest a cop when he is found corrupt. First he must go to a court of law and then he gets arrested. Aint the jury the one that decides the prison the guard is going to? it would't make much sense going to a prison where the guards and other personal are your collegues and even friends.
I wish you would be able to re-convert corrupt guards instead of having to fire them every single time..

@@yassir5750 Send them to class or have them do things with a chief or discipline them, so many more options to be more engaged than hunting them down to fire and re-hire.

really only significant thing is that if you kill a gang leader then the gang members will riot and that your teammates can be recruited into gangs

your members "can" get converted, but that doesn't nothing but gives u 1 less member
you cant be a gang or join one, no claiming territory's, no events, no guard corruption
no repercussions for killing a gang member or leader by the gang, just the gang being upset for a bit.

@@cheryldahl9192 the gangs get outta hand too quickly in my opinion, like on low. 60+% was gangs, mainly the bastards that want territory. no matter how many metal detecters, cameras, checkpoint dogs, etc I have. the amount of contraband in a 400 prisoner prison is in the thousands DAILY!

This is true but the new DLC does add a lot more 'gang stuff'. They claim turf, they go around in gangs (obviously), they graffiti entire rooms to control them, there are proper demands, there are assassinations and there's a whole load of new programs and rooms to help manage them.
@@TheGeekCupboard not to be the guy, but they already took turf, recruited people, would control rooms and try to kill people from the other gangs (targeting higher upps espesially). I really do think thought that it needed an upgrade and like what a lot if this sounds like. Lets hope its good!

@@TheGeekCupboard well I can't see any programs or rooms so all I knew is that I'd have to pay money to get: gangs huddle in groups and make demands.
which are cool things that I'd want, but it could be a free update since its so minor.
oh yeah and guard become corrupt, by the look of the video that system seem to have a very shallow and uninteresting implementation.

I hate to be 'this guy', but I cannot really see any new features here.
Prison Architect already had (I recall racial) gangs. They already had a hierarchy and would claim control over zones (extorting other prisoners). Sure, the different gangs were not specialised but I find that to be realistic. They seem to have only adapted the visuals (adding a colourful mask which is not really realistic, in contrast to the tattoos). The already exisiting gangs also hung around together, staged coups and were hard to control (as they should be). I don't see why certain gangs would only act in a certain way when displeased.
I really hope there is more to it but it seems like they want to resell you what you have already purchased earlier.

So basically the same thing Introversion software made, but with a gang name, and a crown on top of the gang leader.
THe feature of the crook guard is good, but beside this, it's not worth 6 euros.

All this content they keep releasing yet console still waiting after 7 years to get the base stuff for the game like female prisoners, dormitory rooms, bunkbeds. like..... come on. what kind of company is this. it's sad at this point.

Are you serious? Another paid DLC that makes you prison have only 3 gangs? What about random generated gangs with, for example, different traits, aspects, ways to earn money, gain respect among prisoners? Demands from gangs - as I've seen in the video one of the tasks we will get is to decrease punishment time for some crimes - in this case lower punishment for murder to 3 hours AND THIS IS STUPID. The team working on Prison Architect is exteremely unprofessional and bad at game design.

this dlc is stupid unbalanced, and it practically doesn't exist in escape mode, expect the visuals and a fight/riot when a leader is killed
