UPL & Company did a great job in this one. Very happy to see LUUUUUUUUK face a ton of shots and make the saves. Three straight wins for the good guys! Let's Go Buffalo! ⚔⚔⚔⚔⚔⚔
@@USArmyVet91 they did not. Luuk was the only reason they won. That, and binginton letting in some softies. They were under 20 shots, gave up 37, and managed to score 4 for a shooting percentage of 25%. That's unsustainable and realistically should have been a loss. HOWEVER, thus team also shouldn't have lost 13 in a row. 2 points = good. Execution of game = piss poor
@@kevinappleman8521 Not talking about this specific game, but you can't make sweeping default generalisations regarding shooting percentages like that, as not all shots are alike and not all teams deploy the same tactics. There's a reason high-volume shot teams who throw a lot of low-danger pucks on the net from the perimeter (like say Carolina) often dry up in the playoffs against tougher competition (and then their fans whine about getting "goalied" while in real life all shots still aren't alike and never will be).
@@okyouknowwhatever it's not sweeping generalization, its how the game played out. They were on the back foot the whole time. Expected goals were something like 4 to 2...in favor of the blues. Shots 37 to 16 blues. High danger 17 to 5 blues. That's not a good game. That's a LUUK standing on his head and a goalie on the other end giving up 2 goals more than expected.
Buffalo Sabres are nothing short of an emotional roller coaster this season, for the sake of the fans I hope they snag a wild card spot in the Atlantic. Could Lindy Ruff's program just take time, like fine wine? Who know's only time will tell.
Money is actually doing really good. Its very weird because usually when you bring in a new coach the new coach or the organization brings in ALL new coaching and Lindy didn't get to do that which was very confusing. The combination of not being able to finish a game and maybe even some other coaching problems might be the cause for the amount of losses.
They won't make the playoffs. They will win a few and then lose a few. They have to win 11 in a row just to get back to where they were before the 11 game losing streak. That won't happen.
They're cooked. They don't have the mental fortitude, with the biggest factor being how absolutely young they are in key positions. The top 6 is too young and is more at the mercy of gameflow. Same with one Owen Power on D. Poor luck just compounds their mental state, and they wilt. Evidenced by the fact they were LEADING in like 7 of those 13 loses. That's not being unskilled, or being a bad team. That's a team beating themselves in their own heads long before the final horn.
Saved by Luukkanen 🇫🇮. In Junior Champ ' s Finns beat USA 4-3. With Sabres you are like Fortest Gump: ' when you open the cholate box, you never kmow beforehand what you get' .
The Sabres don't need to beat the Blues to give their fans relief from cronic depression...they need to beat teams when it matters to make the playoffs to do that and not disappear for quarter season stretches.
If you beat all the teams you "should" or "could" beat you would make the playoffs. Not losing 13 games in a row will help. Losing to the Blues would not have helped Sabres fans. I have no idea what your point is with this comment
It's a play on words...Blues and Depression. Sarcasm as to what happens when you go 0-13 and think it's not a bottom 6 franchise in a league of 32 franchises.
Did you know it should really be "Iced Cream" and not "Ice Cream." That was the original term because they "iced" the cream. Also it is not "whip cream" it should be "whipped cream" for teh same reason. Read the label on your can, it calls it "whipped cream."
Thompson has a fine work ethic. Sure he exaggerated an injury so he didn't have to play in the all star game but he did that so he could stay healthy for what actually mattered.
