I just received my kobold 2.0 today and I absolutely love it. I'm really not a big fan of front flippers. The action is so smooth. Thank you for sharing
Kizer has been killing it for a while now and the Kobold 2 is just one more example of that. While I wish the blade on it was around 3.3" I'll probably still try to score one when WMK gets them in.
Im not so convinced about the ergonomics of this kobold2. First its very light weight. Doesn't have any heft for its size. Feels like its honna flying outta my hand when i try to open it. Second, the front flip open method is awkward if you try opening it using the jimping with your thumb. I think its dangerous trying to open it that way. Dunno about you but its very unnatural for me to open a knife like that. Thunb flick is also unnatural but more manageable than the front flip The only way it feels natural is using your middle finger. Either hand middle finger is best in my opinon. When you close the knife using your right thumb to push in the linelock you best move it outta the way quick if you are hoding it blade up because that supersharp blade is coming right down on your thumb. The opening of this kobold2 is super smooth and the lock up is solid with no blade play. Love this blade shape very unique. Micarta scales feel nice in the hand with full grip The clip though not reversable, it does use flat screws that dont protrude out of the base of the clip. Its gonna take some getting used to for this kobold2 just isnt very natural feeling for me.
I appreciate the detailed comments. Certainly in agreement regarding the front flipper. Also, I prefer the Micarta version a bit more - Thanks for the insights!
So as a non mythological creature I would say is should have been named the Rhinoceros 🦏 and that is not unflattering as the strength it portrays. I know Spyderco and Cold Steel has use Rhino name in one from or another so yeah I can see a dragon like mythology beast in the profile. Btw the way it has a void in the blade, did you try a “void fall” (Spydie drop)? Looks like a solid performer! Thanks for sharing!
I am really digging this blade.
Winner. Winner. This knife is 🔥
Very nice knife thanks for the show👍

👍🗡️👊
Totally agree with that front flip method. Not natural for me and feels as if the blades gonna cut my hand when opening it like that.
Nice micarta, great action, utility type blade. I ordered it before the video was halfway through.
Hope you enjoy it!
Kizer is really bringing great stuff..I have a Cormorant in this same micarta as this one. Most impressive..thanks for sharing brother..🤠🇺🇸
Thanks for watching!
Reminds me a lot of the new Microtech MSI
Interesting knife. However, it seemed you were having some issues opening it. I can certainly imagine I’d have plenty as well.
Every knife is a new design, in front flippers are not my favorite means of opening, but with practice you can get good with any knife... 😎🗡️👊

WMK got them in last week but this model is already sold out 🤷♂️
@@Stahlwerk88 thanks for the info. Now I know not to be on pins and needles waiting on an email notification from WMK.
