i work for budweiser in the repack area. And we were able to take a bunch of drinks home today. There was a box of this drink sitting in the corner and it stood out to me. Never had stout before and i just tried it. Im absolutely in love with it. Im so glad i decided to take 4 bottles home😂😂😂

I would Love to Stash away a few of these to age in the Bottle, Under what Conditions ? In the Fridge, a Cool Dry Basement ? What type of Changes usually Develop as it Ages ?? Thanks so much for any Feedback.
One of my favorite stouts ever, no adjuncts at all just a smooth delicious very well aged beer. I have 2 left off this year and have all the way back to 19. Great review ✊🏿🍻
This year’s OG was aged in a blend of Heaven Hill, Four Roses, Wild, Turkey, and Buffalo Trace barrels. I watched 4 reviews and all have been very positive! Everyone seems to be in agreement, it’s a great year for the OG. Looking forward to Friday! 🍻
Haha I got you. Lacing is when the foam from the head of a beer sticks to the side of a glass. Typically a beer with a higher alcohol amount won’t produce much. Legs are when the liquid leaves some residue on the side of the glass. If you drink a liquor straight it is easy to see this on a glass. Cheers!
I always love how thoughtful you are on your tasting process. I'm fortunate to live close to a place that gets multiple kegs of BC, so I got to try the coffee, biscotti and fig variants before the regular. Enjoyed the Sir Isaac's fig variant best of those, as the others came across a bit astringent. The I got to the regular and was blown away. It's so well made. Great balance, and good enough to outshine the others, even after I drank a couple. I picked out chocolate, date/raisin, and bourbon. I also agree that "dried fruit" is a pretty vague tasting note, though I've probably slipped up like that myself at times when it comes to "stewed fruit." 🙂
I don't drink Bourbon....... but I loves me some BOYbon Barrel Aged Beers! This is usually the Holy Grail. Looking forward to scoring Firday. Great Review. CHEERS !!!
I have some “wine stoppers” and a bottle capper and will use those to keep a beer like this “fresh” for a day or two. I would not push it past 2 additional days though.
I loved everything about this years OG. 5 star for my review.. But the add of 4 roses won it all for me... It stood out due to reviewing Brooklyn's black op 4 roses small batch ! Cheers brother!!
Funny you mention that because I thought of grabbing a can of the Brooklyn to try and then going back to this to look for the Four Roses. I haven't had the Brooklyn one in a while. Good call!

Good review and agree on Cherrywood comparison. I got bakers chocolate, vanilla, caramel and smoke. Just thought it was dry and less nuanced/ decadent vs ‘21. A great base for the adjuncts. Cheers!
Not that I’m disagreeing with you. But I kept getting marshmallows. Meaning, it was so smooth, not biting, with vanilla and “burnt sugar” or caramel. It leans sweet in a good way. This is the 1st year I “won” the full line up. I’m only regretting it because that I think OG is good enough to satisfy my taste.
I really hate weighing in on how people spend there money because I would hate for someone to take my advice, buy it, and hate it. I will say this, if you like the taste of barrels more, than the 30th delivers, if you prefer the taste of the actual bourbon, 3 bottles of the regular makes more sense. I hope that is helpful!

@@jaysoulxselah8260 “India Pale Ale.” They can give off many different flavors. Lots of fruits, sometimes floral, pine, bitter, etc.

I had a 2020 the other night, and it's still my favorite vintage. Really excited about 2022 based on what I've heard so far
I think 2015 is still my favorite but this is WAY up there!
Had a 2020 & a 2021 on Saturday. 2020 was the clear winner
This base is so good that I recently purchased 2 cases (12 packs) of it... it's quite available in the Chicago area.

Marshmallow is such a good note! Soft vanilla sweetness with some caramelized sugar. Good call!

I feel like stouts without and adjunct are just not as good as they could be. Adjuncts is where it's at. I never desire a base without it.
