Think i liked last years batch, over this one. I liked the adult chocolate, over the fudgy brownie batter. But, got no problem with this years batch. Everyone seems to like it.
Both to me seemed young and needing of aging
I can still get bombers of the 2022 for $10.99 all day.
I am outside of Chicago though where it’s still everywhere December of 2033

Coming from wine and knowing how bad most bourbon barrel wines are (they're cartoonishly overoaked most of the time), I wasn't coming into Bourbon County Stout with good expectations. But I have to say, this is a good beer for once in a while. It's very balanced, I wonder how a Sherry cask aged beer would turn out. I'd recommend you also try Jameson's Caskmates Stout Edition Irish Whiskey, the nose is pretty comparable.
Yes the Jameson's Caskmates Stout is excellent, I poured the last little bit of my bottle into my infinity bottle. I actually really enjoy making a Old Fashioned with that (yes I know "Irish Whiskey" in a old fashioned, but it works with this one)
I have had Sherry cask stouts before. It really depends on the barrel and the brewery. Just like wine, conditioning is everything when making/aging the beer.
Recommend the Lagunitas Willetized if it shows up in your area. Incredible beer at an incredible price.

Unrelated, sort of, but I remember, years ago, new to the craft beer scene, buying a pack of Goose Island. I bought it, went home and researched it... I lived within 10 minutes of the "Budweiser" plant. I was so mad, and ignorant, that I dumped it down the drain and moved on. Did I mention ignorant, and new 😉

@@06mrselfdestruct are you sure it was this one? there are different varients and year. some varients yes can go for a high dollar value but this regular one won't reach that level
