Another taxi scam I experienced in Roma. I handed the driver three 20€ bills. Knew I was being overcharged, but … now I use the app. Then he quickly threw one 20€ bill aside and INSISTED I gave him a 5€ bill, not a 20€.. He displayed a 5 € bill he had stashed. I said no, but he was belligerent, and had our luggage in the truck.. He Threatened to call polizia. I swapped the 5 for another 20€ and called it a learning experience. NOW, I count the bills out into their hand! Proving what I had paid.

Most recent reviews of the free now app the user says they were scammed. Some say they were charged cancelation fees when the driver actually canceled or the driver didn't show up. Do you still recommend this app?
Mindy, I use Free Now app all the time and never had an issue. But you can also try itTaxi. And you can now order a cab through the Uber app. So plenty of options :)
I will be going in a few months and planned on using Uber because there is 7 in my group so I need a van to pick me up from Fiumicino airport and take me to Rome center. Is it very difficult to get a taxi van at the airport and would that be cheaper than the Uber van or does the taxi company not have vans at all?

You can buy tickets to all the main attractions in Rome on their websites. Have a wonderful trip!
There is one rose guy here in Salerno on the Lungomare. He's selling. He doesn't force a "free" one on anyone. Why would anyone think he's giving them a gift? He's selling, I'm buying. My money, my pleasure.
Is the drinking a capuccino and cornetto at the bar standing up just an adult thing or is it normal to see families with kids also? Just seems kind of odd to me.
