  • He was the boy with the broken brain. At least that’s what Jim Kwik told Jay Shetty that he called himself between the ages of 5 and 18 after suffering from a traumatic brain injury that left him with slow brain performance.
Today, Kwik is one of the top brain and learning experts in the world, and he’s a man on a mission. Listen in as Kwik and Jay Shetty talk about tapping into the unlimited potential of the human brain.

In elementary school, junior high, and in highschool, the teacher has to instruct 20-30 kids. They don't have the resources, or time, to individualize teaching. The kids have to keep up, or get left behind. Those kids that get left behind, think of themselves, and are thought of, as dumb. That is a VERY hard label to shake. I have trouble believing, that he got into college, after doing as poorly,as he said he did, in highschool.

We do not have the power to change others, but we can change ourselves. For example, you can choose to persevere, when there is no evidence of results yet. This is what I did with my UA-cam channel and after a slow start results are starting to come. Learn to persevere and you will succeed.

Remember that when you get really good at something to maintain a beginners mindset, even though you know so much about that domain. That's how you improve further, or stop growing. The decision is yours.

    Hello Jay,
Love your interview with Jim Kwik, this particular interview of his sufffering, traumatic brain injury which caused him to have a (slow brain) was awe inspiring.
Your interview forced me to remember my traumatic head injury at 10 years old.
My injury affected my head and my eyes, I saw all living things surrounded in rainbow colours, like prisms, diamonds shinning brightly.
After 4 years of this and many crown headaches, I accepted that all people saw this way. Yes the human brain and its potential can be limitless, and how we can adapt to an injury of which we do not realize we have.
Really happy for the memory you and Jim Kwik stimulated in my mind.
Trauma is very subtle and needs to be cared for.
The boy with the broken brain, no brain left behind, open my eyes and the light bulbs went on.
Always following and personally, spiritually healing in this time.

Incredible podcast! The mind is so powerful beyond measure. A few years ago I used it to cleanse my spirit, my body holistically. My severe psoriasis left in a few weeks and my critically damaged heart healed completely. I had to leave a toxic relationship for this to work along with giving forgiveness. Do not underestimate this power. Thoughts are things.

    Best Lessons
Don’t let school get in the way of education. [Mark Twain]
If u do hard things, life is easy. If u do easy things, life is hard. Jim quotes Jerzy Gregorek. From Tim Feriss book Tools of Titans
You download decades in days when u read a book
The most important lesson for Jim: You are 100% responsible for your life.
    Trade your cleverness for bewilderment.
When you learn with the intention of teaching, you learn it faster, properly.
This talk was too insightful, too valuable. Thanks to both of you.

The lesson that resonated with me was words can make a profound change in your life. Adding the word “yet” at the end of your sentence if you are having difficulty with a certain task mitigates that limiting beliefs that you have.
The difference between the word “problem” and “puzzle.” Telling someone you have a puzzle to solve makes it more enjoyable and that shift of your mindset leads you to a positive direction

Jay, it's fabulous what you doing to make wisdom go viral and really appreciates this. But sometime it's just so long to hear all your podcasts and at the same time every episode is worthy itself, so just wanna request to summarise the main wisdom that we can get from all these beautiful personalities on your show. I know these people too need this sort of time to really express their feeling coz just in short period of time they can't express all those experiences and knowledge they have; so continue your podcast for the time you decided but do highlight the main wisdom that need to go viral in today's youth.
