Looks good. I think your side windows are actually larger than a real Cessna would be anyhow.

what is your opinion regarding msi 4090 RTX graphic card?? does it have any affect on higher frame rate and speed and quality of flight simulator??? my other concern is that if the internet is not too fast. please let me know your opinion. i have plan to build a serious flightsim for training. this card is too expensive in japan. almost 380,000 yen. by the way i guess you do ot need to change the size of your window. it is perfectly ok. it looks like the cessna 172 i have flown in real world.

The graphics card and CPU depend heavily on your sim configuration. For example, trying to run 3 x 4K displays off a single PC (12900K + RTX3090Ti) is not going to provide constant minimum 30 FPS (which I believe is the min stable frame rate you should have for flight sims). If you are running a single display, then you dont need to go to an RTX4090Ti.
On the subject of the window cutouts, it was more because I didnt like to see the TV bezels on the side windows so I have made them slightly smaller. I have just about finished this upgrade now with more videos showing how it comes together. Stay tuned.........

Are you planning to release the CAD files? I am interested in building my sim but don’t have much knowledge about 3D designing

Hi and thanks for tuning in. Unfortunately I cannot release the cad files as the 3D model is in Fusion360 which has restricted license for hobbyists. With that said, I was pretty much like you and had to spend a considerable amount of time learning Fusion360. Once I got the hang of it (and there are plenty of UA-cam tutorials around), I found it very useful and is how I created my entire sim..Feel free to check out my Sim build playlist. Happy to answer any of your queries however if I can help in that regard.

What is the material that you are using to "wrap" the window opening?

Thanks for watching. 3D printed PLA plastic. Custom designed in Fusion360.

Great work man! I'm trying to build a home cockpit too, but I'm not shure about (3) screens size and VGA cards. There is some kind of formula/ratio which I can use to know if a VGA can support for example 3 X 40" screens, let's say 1080 P or also 1440 with a decent FPS? I'm looking for RTX 4080 S (so expensive) maybe 4070 Ti Super or RX7900XT. I appreciate a lot if you can help me, thank you so much :)

Thanks for the support really appreciate it. With respects to screen size it really doesnt matter from a performance perspective, but it will matter from a visual perspective. On a pixel basis a smaller 1080P screen (say 40" or lower) will look much better than a 55" TV at the same 1080P resolution as they both have the same number of pixels just the TV are larger. Not sure of your budget and it really comes down to your budget. If you are running with 40" screens then I would probably go for at least 1440P resolution at minimum of 60Hz refresh rate. I am not familiar with AMD chips, so cant comment there, however a 4070Ti will work fine (especially if you have DLSS mode and Frame generation on in FS2020) together with a 12900K CPU (if you were to go with intel). Keep ram to DDR5 with 32GB (2x16GB) and run your programs through an M.2 SSD as this will be quicker. Hope this helps.

@@CessSim about CPU I was thinking i5 or i7 maybe Ryzen 7 7800X3D, but someone told me that after 10 years AMD CPU need to be replaced , instead Intel are more reliable through the time. Do you think the same? Thanks😊

@@AlessandroAtzori-vv2je I really cant comment on that mate. I have only ever only Intel CPU's........never had an AMD.

In the future can you show some details how you designed and printed the window trim? Thanks.
