The best cover version of Holly's "Take Your Time" by far. Great job Albert Lee!

Thanks for your comment, Jason. If you don't have it, there's a studio recording of this song on the "Tear It Up" album by Albert Lee & Hogan's Heroes. Well worth getting to know!

Thanks for your comment! I agree, it's sad that Buddy was taken from us when he had only just begun.

Thanks for your comment, Holly. :) Not the best framing on that vid! I was holding the camera on my lap, and not really watching the screen. Still, I've loved Albert's rendition of this song since the first time I saw him. In fact, any tune from the Tear It Up album brings me right back. :D
This song is in the current set, btw and Albert always says "God bless Buddy Holly" when he plays one of his songs.

JackFeelsNerves no prob Jack. I've been trying for years to find footage of Albert Lee when he was playing with the Crickets in the 70's. I bought the Album "Long Way From Lubbock" loved it. First time I had heard of Albert. If you come across anything please let us know Jack, cheers mate!!!

If you like Buddy Holly, I recommend my video of "Learning The Game", which features Albert on piano!

Thanks for your comment, Heinz. Albert's versions of these great songs are THE definitive versions for me, because sometimes they are the first version I've heard! It's like which actor's James Bond is your favourite? I bet it's the first one you saw :)
I hope Albert gets back to touring with Hogan's Heroes again... I miss seeing this great band every year.

JackFeelsNerves Thanks for your reply Jack. I would be happy to see Albert in concert one day, but I doubt that he ever comes to Germany.

The last time this band toured (2015), they visited several venues in Germany:

and the last time I spoke to Albert after a gig, he said they would be back... keep hoping!
