She is absolutely adorable, and what a great idea, to bring your daughter into the lessons while you’re all on lockdown!

Oh my gosh, Annabelle is just so sweet, and what a personality! This video was very helpful, because Annabelle is approaching the pronunciation from an English-language perspective, just as I am, and you have to correct her and give explanations for the pronunciation, such as the explanation of the "e" appearing before two consonants. (That was new to me.) What a great idea to bring her in!

Merci beaucoup!!! So glad it was effective in learning these tricky French words. It's reminded me that we learn better when we're willing to get into a Beginner mindset and 'just try it out' _at the risk of getting it wrong_ which adults can shy away from for sure! It makes us wonder what other improvements we could make if we let go of perfectionism...

Wow! I have so much trouble pronouncing rs properly. Is it possible to have a lisp that keeps you from pronouncing a french r?

Bonjour! The R is one of the biggest challenges with French pronunciation. For most learners, it's about understanding the mechanics of what happens (mouth, tongue, teeth, air flow). Millions of French natives aound the world make that sound effortlessly but as it's a new sound for English speakers, it takes a bit of effort, feedback and practice. I have a whole video on the sound of the letter R in the 'Pronunciation' playlist, have you seen it?
