This Aussie just wants to say thank you Jimmy Carter for the incredible work you did for humanity throughout your public life. It all mattered and still does.🙏🙏
With every pluck of your bass, so goes Dad's heart strings. You and your incredible associates have brought so much joy to life. He remembers the time this album came out and what better way to listen, and learn about these works than with someone who was there. You give peace and blessings(l'chaim)through these musical poems. Thank you, Lee, again for sharing your life's work with us. Have a productive New Year and I look forward to hearing and seeing more soon.
The ONLY president I ever voted for. Been voting since tricky dicky. Have made a lot of protest votes. Once hand wrote ín Santa Claus (found out later from county election office I wasn't the only one that year) Only Carter did I actually vote for, hoping he would win.

This is one of my favorite Natalie ballads. Lee, I have a rescued Shih Tzu named Squirt, and every time you say that name, she looks around to see who is talking to her. ❤❤
I carried her Dresses into a hotel room at Buffalo Bills's she tipped me 5bucks but I will always remember she smiled and I recognized it was her, she liked my small talk I think, she made me feel like heaven smiled on me when she smiled and said thank uuu... what a beautiful smile
I admit to have to look up the Bottle🌴Palm that blew out your pots. Nice variety. The trunk sure lives up to the 'bottle' name. Loved seeing the boys rough-housing in the yard. Going to let fam in Glasgow know Lyle & the Large Band will be there. :)
⛄⛄. We also have a cherished family bottle palm story. In junior high I made a terrarium as part of a science project (dirt and plants inside bottle with wide mouth and narrow neck). It included a tiny grocery store bottle palm out of a 2" pot. Eventually it had to be disassembled and my mother planted it in a maybe 2' square bit of dirt maybe a foot from the gas meter. Years on it may have been 5' tall and broad and had to be hacked out before it took out the gas meter. Those bad boys are tough.
THANK YOU🎉❤ I remember this song , always loved Natalie. My Daddy loved her father. I was a ittle kid but remember that he choked up with tears when Nat king Cole passed. Have a good tour!

8:15 Sir, was that deli "Junior's Delicatessen"? Beautiful recording, Leland! My favorite Natalie Cole recording was her1992 song,"Unforgettable" she sang with her great Father, Nat King Cole. It's refreshing to witness a multi-millionaire, world-renowned musician appear as just a "regular Joe" going to Home Depot on a Sunday and preparing to do some yard work around the house! Your humility and respect for others is to be admired! Too often, characters in the music business are offered to the public with so many problems that seem to socially alienate fans. Thanks for being there, Leland. All the best to you and yours in 2025!
I’d love to bump in to you in Galveston. I’d be dumbstruck so if I saw you I better just keep quiet. Just know I’m a huge fan of you as a person and all you’ve done in music 💙🩵💙
I was in college when this song was released in 1980 and was heartsick from a breakup with my high school flame. I think I wore out the 45RPM single of this song and Roberta Flack's "If Ever I See You Again." Wondering if you did studio work with Roberta during that period? Happy 2025 Lee! Thanks for letting us into your life via these postings!
I carried her dresses up to the rooms at Buffalo Bills, she tipped me 5bucks when she smiled I recognized her, absolutely beautiful person, beautiful smile o will always remember her smile.
Eureka? When I was ordering planners I noticed that there was a series of them entitled "Effin' Birds.". So I ordered one, a refugee from a Goodwill. I thought that they were examples of incongruity humor (apparently I am easily amused): the contrast of tasteful ornithological images that one would historically associate with the upper middle class or the upper class (possibly with British upper classes) paired with phrases, sometimes novel, containing absolutely foul curses. Now, in my life, I have been more familiar with working class curses. But after examining the document in question I concluded that these appeared to be more upper middle class in nature. They do not necessarily exclude the curse-rich New York milieu, but my conclusion is that they riff off of and/or are intended to riff off of the language that upper middle class white males might use amongst themselves in office settings in select contexts. WHAT DID NOT OCCUR TO ME UNTIL TONIGHT is that the birds might not just be an incongruity joke but, in fact, relate to the content of your book. 😇 I'm naive.
@@lelandsklar6363 Leland. Does Paul realize that you knew James Taylor, or you know James Taylor? Good morning, Lee!! ❤🥰 I'M BACK! Unfortunately, I was under the weather for 10 days, including before Christmas with a severe headcold/flu that had me down for Christmas and after.
