I bought one of the knock off solo stoves from Walmart and we enjoyed it camping last week. Seems like a good buy now if it holds up over a couple years….we camp about 15 weekends per year.
Hey quick tip, most large tank adapters don't have a filter so the pilot orifice gets clogged. A quick swab out with some alcohol it will work again. I picked up a free one from the side of the road and that's what fixed it.
I have this heater. It gets hot but does not last long at all. Maybe 4 hours even on low per small propane bottle. It also gets dirty very quick and cleaning the pilot tube is a necessity.

It doesn’t have a CO sensor but a low oxygen and tip over sensor. When it shuts off cause of one of those two things, CO is released for a short timeframe. (IN MY TESTING) CO can give you a headache but I bet lack of Oxygen will to. Glad you’re alright. Yeah -60, doubt it would work for that lol. Thanks for watching
You don't have to set the heat at high or low, you can lower the propane flow with the knob to right before it starts to sputter and that will increase your burn time and put out less heat as on full power, it can get pretty warm.
You need to get an extension hose to allow for the conversion from 1lb to 20lb tanks. And that price was 2 tanks for $10 but I get it. It’s skyrocketed in the last years. Thanks for watching

You mean my dog? I had to go back and look lol. If you don’t mean my dog please screenshot it and send it to me, email, Facebook, instagram. I’m about to do a Sasquatch hunt and his they are in my backyard I won’t have to go as far. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann Yeah, I was talking about your doggo. 🤣
@@ReneeNme lmao you got me, nice
Very interesting
Thanks bro!
Definitely wish I would’ve saw this video a before I brought my buddy heater 😂 😊
lol 🤷♂️ thanks for watching
I bought one of those heaters last week, no doubt it puts out more than my buddy heater and I haven't noticed much of a fuel consumption difference. If it lasts it will be well worth it, and I'm sure it's made by dynaglo,
For sure, it pumps heat! What’s Dynaglo? Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann dynaglo is a company that makes a lot of kerosene and propane heaters. They sell that same heater under their name for more money
@@chriscarson891 i got the dynaglo heater for Christmas last year and its great i use it for tent camping and keeps the tent very warm i was worried about oxygen but the sensor works great
@@chriscarson891 ah gotcha.
@@niq872 what’s the btus on the dynaglo?
Thanks for the reviews! We've always been Ozark Trail buyers for just this reason.
Don't know when you have time for it but I would love to see another side by side where you brought both of them to 70 degrees, changed for new tanks and then measured burn time. I think the Ozark Trail would shine then.
You mean get the tent temp up to 70? Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching
I was like you go through propane like crazy
lol it happens. Thanks for watching
I just saw this at Walmart about 2 hours ago. Much cheaper than buddy heaters....
Yeah it is. Thanks for watching
Yessir! LETS GO!!
👏🏼👏🏼💯🤙🏼
Thanks bro!
What is the fan and where do you get it? Plus the attachment ?
Link should be in the description for the fan, let me know if it isn’t. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann ah,,, thank you
Where did u find the fan mount that goes on the buddy heater ?
It comes with the fan from Amazon. Link is in the description. Thanks for watching
I already got a fan just no mount .
@@codylewis8450 I’m not sure you can buy just the mount but if you can look at it on Amazon maybe you can make only out of a metal coat hanger?
@@AdventureswithSpackmann I seen that to with a metal coat hanger I’ll have to do that thanks for the input .
@@codylewis8450 you’re welcome
Lol, thumbs up right off the bat
Thank you so much! Was it the money/funny part? Thanks for watching
How long do either of these heaters last on low with one 1ib tank??
I’m not sure, I haven’t run that test yet. Thanks for watching
I got screwed out of the heater, I knew it was rigged. LOL I gotta tell you I was kinda hoping for a finger in the blade 😂
lol oh man missed opportunity with the finger in the blade. Thanks for watching
You look like Matthew Lawrence vs Ed Bassmaster
Thank you?
The Ozark is 59 bucks now.
How much was it in the video? I can’t remember. Thanks for watching
Turn down the Walmart to the same temp so it’s apples to apples. I’m a big Mr buddy fan and it seems the Walmart is a deal
Some feedback from viewers may make it less of a deal. Some people have come here after having issues with theirs Walmart one. Personally I would use my buddy over this one but I’ve used my buddy for years now. If you’re on a budget this one would work. Thanks for watching
Who makes the knock of
Ozark trail makes it. Thanks for watching
Last time i priced a buddy heater, it was $89
That’s not bad. Thanks for watching
Close your eyes and listen, he sounds like Sneakeo
lol really? I don’t hear it. Thanks for watching
Seems like a great price. Wonder if there’s any issues using a buddy hose for a 20lbs tank.
There shouldn’t be. I’m yet to try it though. Thanks for watching
There is a big buddy heater though
Correct but it’s even bigger in comparison. Thanks for watching
What is the brand of the fan w the mount??
Link is in the description for the fan. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmannhell yeah 👍🏽 thanks
I also like to throw my propane bottles around😂
lol thanks for watching
If Charlie Berens did heater reviews...
lol like I look like him? Thanks for watching
Lol.. so after a few years of diy fan plates, buddy comes out with one
Buddy didn’t come out with it. This is a different company. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann do they sell that fan mount at Walmart?
@@wascalywabbit no, Amazon is where mine came from. I have a link as well as a discount code for it in the description of this video
