I brought a Mitsubishi outlander Sport 2017 AWD in 2022. It had 71K on it. I have 101K on it now. I paid 15K for it. I live in Virginia. You need to drive around here.
i would rather you take advice from a mechanic - i don't know how anybody could recommend a used turbo car - honda accords are not that great for longevity - huge heavy car with tiny turbo - every one i see has black soot around the tailpipe. civics are know for oil dilution and problems too. ford edge sport - thats a gamble - won't even get into it
@@Zz-lp8yr buy: 2013+ GS 350, 2024 hybrid corolla/prius, 2009 - 2013 civic, 2005 - 2006 e320CDI - just avoid any diesel after 2006, any tiny gas engine with a turbo, CVT transmissions unless they are Toyota hybrid. Lease anything else new.
@@trixie9867 i was thinking about leasing but my father in law was talking about how it wasnt the smartest thing to do but any car I might buy right now I doubt I will wanna keep it long term tbh.
BIG BONUS! look at 2013-2014 NISSAN MAXIMA ! great prices! $12,000 with low miles 45K 10 top engines! i seen a couple of them with 200k miles everything original!
I bought a used 2019 Edge SEL after a lot of research, love the car but it was made in 2018 and has the engine that eventually leaks antifreeze into the cylinder. There is a lawsuit going over this because Ford will not issue a recall even though they have done recalls on other vehicles with the same engine. The problem is the lawsuit only covers up to 2018's and mine is a 2019 made in 2018. I have noticed my antifreeze starting to slowly disappear and i only have 59,000 miles on it! Ford needs to recall all vehicles with this engine.
The problem with a lot of car recommendations these days is they're using older, more reliable and proven powertrains as the basis for assuming a completely different vehicle with an unproven powertrain will be just as reliable. A NA Accord from the past and a turbo Accord today are apples and oranges. It's the same as assuming a 2024 Tacoma will last you 400,000 miles because your 2015 could last that long. The problem is those are 2 entirely different trucks that don't share much DNA.
I have a thing against buying some cars at over 100k miles especially for over 10k. You could easily be walking into spending 5-6k relatively quickly into it. So for that 10k car with 100k+miles you could generally spend that 6k into getting something nicer and with less miles on it. It's a risk assessment anybody buying a car has to do before lunging into it.
when it comes to any vehicle that has over 125,000 miles on it,. your most likely looking at some major repairs ,.. Honda - radiator failure will almost certainly mean warped head,.. a starter ... it's in the center of most of their motors,.. it's a large bill,. brakes - likely to be needed at that millage,... this goes for any car ...
20k for a car with 100k miles on it? PFFFTTTT HAHAHAHHAHAHA. This list is actually a** and is so telling of how bad the used car market is right now. Don’t spend a dime on any car right now. Wait if you can less you love getting reamed
“Never buy a salvage title” What?!?! This guy is ridiculous! If you just do your research and know where the work was done and have it checked out by the dealership or a trusted mechanic you are better off with a salvage title. This guy has some good points, but this isn’t one.
If you’re planning to keep it until it dies…sure. If you plan to resell, a salvage title is a hard pass for me. Not many people want to put time and money into figuring out how bad the damage was when buying used.
You're gonna see a lot of those pathfinders at 80-160k because that's the mileage range when the transmission goes. JATCO junk CVTs, there was a class action because the issue was so widespread and Nissan will not help you, a class action covers model years up to 2018 but not 2019 on. STAY FAR AWAY.
Erm.... Honda L15 turbo engine is Proving a VERY bad engine. With Several class action suits pending on that POS. Few live past 100k miles AVOID at All costs.

2017 Honda Civic Sedan .. after putting 148,231 miles to this day, its still very good! I drive alot for work
Click that “clean title only”
Got a crown majesta. Basically a better avalon in every way.
Imported from Japan, 12K bucks shipped 48K miles. A bit older but tons of of features

I just bout a 2021 Mazda CX-3 with 60K miles for $16k. It’s on the smaller end but comes with awd and Apple CarPlay. Can’t go wrong with it
I think this was the best list ever. I saw 200 + videos to get the details in this video. Best video ever. Thanks.

i like the avalon and the insight - that is about it from this list
AVOID TRAX, caused us nightmares. The turbo 1.8L engine failed. Turbo and intake manifold needed to be replaced because of leakage and seal issues.
Used car prices are insane
i’m in the market for a 18’-19’ accord, but i feel like it’s dumb to spend 15-20k on one with 75k-100k miles on it, is this right or?
If maintained properly, the car should easily reach or bypass 225000 mi.
This video is sponsored by Honda 😂
used car prices are wack man, what the heck is going on?
You make the tough job of used car shopping easy AND fun! Btw, did your dad really put the ick in Buick? Wow!
On the Accord don't buy the 1.5 turbo!! Buy the hybrid or the 2.0. 1.5 has some major issues. Same thing on the CRV buy the base 2.0.
Thank you. It looks like I'm not the only one who knows the newer Hondas better.
I have the 2018 Honda CRV base model with the 2.4 non turbo best car I’ve ever had.

Expensive on parts

You don't know how long a used car can last..it all depends on how well it was maintained..some cars may have had next to zero oil changes etc.

Mostly the 4 cylinder cars are the problem. V6 don't have has many issues
I thought the pathfinders had a regular transmission in them. I didn't realize they made rwd cvts.
I named my Honda Fit, Baby Jazz
Wow where are the 200,000+ mile 2012 to 2018 mazda 3s on this list?
