Crash Bandicoot 2 100% speedrun in

Played on ePSXe 1.9 emulator. Timing starts on the first frame of movement and ends on the final hit on Cortex.
This run has no accidental deaths and fairly good movement throughout although it may be possible to save around a minute with better movement optimisation. There is also a trick in level 17 - diggin' it which this run does not use which saves about 15-20 seconds. Overall however this run is very good for my standards and I do not see myself improving it for a while.

Fantastic run, I've watched plenty of Crash 2 speed runs and this one out-does them all, which says a lot considering each one is solid. I can't see anyone improving on it any time soon, let alone yourself. I suppose little things like getting the body-slam crate at 55:23 could shave a couple of seconds, but that's picking nits. I assume it's single segment too? Very impressive mate, well done. :)

Over the whole run PS2 w/ FDS saves about two and a half minutes on loading times compared to ePSXe 1.9.

Kill64 The timer keeps on ticking after entering the bonus round, the game just doesn't show it. I probably had about 5 seconds left before the yellow gem disappeared.

Also, this is not a legit speed run, minute 42 contains a glitch where the water board is put on land. it is officially any %

All the console versions of this speed run do the same thing, technically it's not a glitch as the game allows you to do it. There aren't any wall jacks or anything in place, it just happens to be that when crash hits something that explodes he jumps in the air.

5 years late but no, it is acceptable since it can be done without any mods/tools and in the wr run superboomfan used it aswell and the run was verified as legit
