    I put an imagetexture in the domain to color the melt, but this colors the domain in the frames when there is no liquid, so I tried not to show the domain in the rendering in these frames, and it worked. Anyway, thanks man, this was really helpful.

    Update edit. Under objects tab (orange box) - Visibility - show in - can turn on and off there and create animate keys.
    I am late to the party and using Blender 4.0 - followed up to the ending but it seems like my domain snaps to a square when the inflow is off and when it is on the cube snaps to the form of liquid. Is this a bug or am I missing a setting to prevent the cube beginning?

      don't know its happening in my too, after stimulation domain box appears you can put key and turn off the camera visibily after stimulation.
      If you want to show stimulated liquid after the stimulation frames, you can duplicate the liquid and on end frame convert it into mesh and put key on render visibility.

    how can i do this if i want to the spere going to right to left and the melt simulation follow the path?

    Hello, myt blender just generates particles from the first frame of simulation, despite all the same settings. I mean, sim does not account for changes in flow object's geometry. What could be the problem? Which version you used for this effect?

      Turns out you just need to keyframe "use flow" parameter, even if it is supposed to be always on. Looks like a bug.

    so by 2:43 my animation of the skull doesnt do that. It looks like the skull underneath is still showing instead of disappearing..
