In this video we explain how a typical CVT Automatic scooter transmission works. We also take the transmission cover off and watch it work in real time. We cover the various components and how they interact with one another to offer smooth acceleration throughout.

Thanks. I understood your video better than seeing the animated videos showing the components moving. Centrifugal force changing the belt diameter on the pulleys at both ends of the system. I note the clutch end pulley is not directly in line with the rear wheel axle, so presumably a gear from the clutch end of the CVT to the rear wheel. Not a gearbox though.
