Niners don't need a receiver back - half of the wideouts they cut in camp will be WR2 or WR3 on some other teams. They need a starting caliber Guard/Center or a quality TE to backup Brittle Kittle.
Oh, they'll want the best WR they can get. Deebo's contract is running out. Trading Aiyuk for an OL...anything's possible but that's pretty unlikely. TE, maybe Freiermuth + .
How come no one understands what this is? This is a market test. Aiyuk and his agent think his market value is $30+ million, the Niners think it's mid $20's. By entertaining these other teams offers, both Aiyuk & Niners can get a clearer view of the current market for him right now.
London is a great contested catch target, but he doesn't separate. That's the primary thing Shanahan wants from his WRs, unless you're Deebo. They already drafted Pearsall, and they would have to pay London soon anyway. London is about to eat with Cousins, if he stays healthy.
For most teams the upgrade is marginal if they have to send one of their top WRs. In fact since the team getting Aiyuk will need to pay a huge contract, 49ers will need to send a pick as well.
49ers are paying all their wrs 55mil this year. Not two players, but teams spend crazy amounts on wrs. Seahawks, dolphins and bears follow with 50-55mil. Raiders, bucs, jags, titans, browns, rams and bengals all over 40mil. So teams will and have paid two wrs insane amounts. Any team that has the cap space can make brandon work. It really comes down to where he wants to play and what the 49ers get in trade comp.
Wait 2 years until the entire (current) Eagles offense is on contract for 2 more years. And then Jalen Carter, J Davis, Q Mitchell and C DeJean are signing their 3 year team friendly deals. Howie’s the true GOAT in the making.
I have a thought on the “other team” - the Buccaneers. This is also a total theory- but they trade Evans to a contender, give him a chance at a ring, and pay Aiyuk to get younger and give Baker a new weapon beside Godwin.
Why does it have to be a trade for a wr? The way I see it is they halted trade talks until they saw Pearsall in training camp, and now they think they can move Aiyuk. Maybe they're entertaining offers for defense difference makers as well.
Aiyuk looks good, because every team plays the run first against the SF49ers. He can't be evaluated without considering the total context of the offense around him.
Rich. While I hear ya on WR exchange. But why isn't anyone saying Jennings can be the guy. He has stepped up. He would've been SB MVP. Why can't GJ be that guy??....Just sayn
It doesn't make sense for the Steelers to make that deal. They have their own players that they have to pay within the next 2 years, starting with Najee and Freiermuth, who are both on expiring contracts this year and Jaylen Warren and Pickens next year. I think Freiermuth is more of a priority over Naj, but then they would still need to extend Warren. It wouldn't make sense to deal for Aiyuk and give him that contract and give up the picks that they would need to replace some of those guys that they would end up losing because they won't have the money to bring them back. Also, the Steelers are trying to institute a run-first offense that also features the TE, so why would you give up all those assets to get Aiyuk on top of having to pay him top-dollar. I like Aiyuk, but I just don't see how it makes sense for the Steelers when they already have a guy in George Pickens that has proven that he can be the guy if he can just stay mature enough. They also have financial flexibility with two years left on his rookie deal, but he will need to get paid sooner rather than later.
No team can pay BA what he thinks he is worth. Also, no team can flip back a trade to the Niners for what they feel he deserved. BA doesn’t wana go to New England, they’re in a rebuild, or Cleveland…..they don’t have the money to pay him and they don’t wana trade anyone. They have Cooper anyway, and they run the ball a lot. If he would go to Pittsburgh, he would regret it eventually. Receivers haven’t done well there cause of poor qb play, which should be better this year, but the O Line is always an issue and the play calling. Just stay in San Fran, play ball, and negotiate after the upcoming season. I believe after this year Deebo will be traded.
If the 49ers want a WR back in return then the trade isn't going to happen, I don't get this whole thing; Aiyuk became their #1-WR last season before that is was Deebo for a few years &before that it was Kittle. Yes Aiyuk put up better numbers than Deebo in 2022 but that was due to teams still rolling coverage to Deebo &putting their #1 DB on Deebo. That allowed Aiyuk to grow &become their #1-WR but he aint Jaylen Waddle or DeVonte Smith or DJ Moore. I'd take Higgins & Ridley over Aiyuk, so having to give up a wideout &pay Aiyuk is far too much
If Indy is making the trade they shouldn't be giving up any pass catching assets for their young QB. Problem is I think there's a divide between what the 49ers are asking, and what they'd likely receive, on top of what Aiyuk is asking. If Aiyuk is staying firm on not playing and it creeps into the season, San Francisco should take the best offer they can and get rid of the distraction while grabbing future assets to keep this roster strong going into the future Purdy years.
By the arguments of the nay sayers, saying that Purdy is a below average QB and the succes is due to those around him. Then why doesn't the rest of the league copy the Niners and pay the big money to the position players and just get a cheap average QB until they have to pay the QB. Let him go and move to thw next one. You could keep the QB salary down to $8 mil or less
@@6foot7natiboyI think Adams isn’t washed but unfortunately the QB needs to be able to get him the ball and they haven’t been good. Give him Purdy and let him cook with all the other threats, that man will look like he’s back with ARod. Watch Receiver. He’s the guy I’d accept.
Why not the packers? Young team, salary cap can’t be that packed up, have you talent at the position to send back to the niners, get a true #1 for your $55M a year quarterback
Naw why would you pay that price for him when you have 4 very good wrs that are costing you next to nothing..and having 4 options makes for a much more exposive offense ..defenses cant focus on one guy like they did when they only had adams
I don’t get these takes. Their just naming teams when the reports says it’s only three teams and one of the teams he said he wanted to play for so I dont get why these dudes are either their acting dumb and just trying to come up with something or this clip is not from 3hrs ago
“Got Dodson here!” CB with the Jurassic Park reference 😂😂
See? Nobody cares...
@@MuscleMTG 💯💯
I got that right away too! What a reference to pull, seriously. Nice one Brock Man lol
Paying Aiyuk 30 mil is insane to me. Every contract doesn't have to top the market.
30 isn't topping the market though. JJ got 35
If you’re the patriots - who else are you paying? Juju’s cap number is like 1/3rd of that already and he put up 1100 less yards last year
When the casual puts in their 2 cents.
I would rather have a top tier O line.
It makes sense for pats
You find out if drake can plat

"I got Dodson here!" I see what you did there,
aiyuk staying with niners, getting a bag but giving a deal for team work making the dream work and racking up a H.O.F Career ?

A Dallas trade would be hilarious
What about the falcons? Flip Drake London for Ayuik?
Could work. That would be great for Drake London!
London is a great contested catch target, but he doesn't separate. That's the primary thing Shanahan wants from his WRs, unless you're Deebo.

Not at all, the way it looking is WR + a round 1 or a few lower rounds for Aiyuk
@@Ben-go1iq Just not worth it Ben. You need to pay Aiyuk close to $35 million per year.
Minnesota for Addison
Aiyuk for Davante Adams would be perfect!!!!!!!

Packers for christian watson and draft picks could be interesting
Packers would be crazy to do that
what about the saints? they have some wr talent they could flip, the bucs maybe, or carolina
I could see them trading for Cooper Kupp with the Rams.
Yo. You crazy casual
An in-division trade with their hated rivals who are also in the playoffs every year? YEAH OKAY.
No freaking way my rams will give up Kupp and the 49ers will never trade with the rams they hate us as much as we hate them😂😂

Look at super-star offensive linemen and draft picks? Any receiver coming back must be a star who will block.
Only trade I’d accept is Devonte Adams - 49ers fan
That's a good one!
As a Raiders fan I would love it, but Aiyuk isn't going to agree to play with the QBs on the roster.
Aiyuk looks good, because every team plays the run first against the SF49ers. He can't be evaluated without considering the total context of the offense around him.
Dallas had 2 all star cbs, ba cooked dallas
taunt other teams, give player rest and see how every talks. aiyuk prolly just goin along with the big plan
Tampa. Send Evans to the Niners. Yes please
evans will be a bucc for life

Same
keenen allen is on just a 1 year for chicago anyway, trade him for aiyuk and then have 3 wr's that are signed in chicago for 3+ years
😂
NE shouldn’t trade their automatic top 3 first round draft pick. Maybe a second.
Steelers ain’t trading Pickens or Roman Wilson

Jaguars are literally the WR#2 Haven why not there?
The Niners should lock him up for the year.
