    As a Taiwanese, lots of the older people really talk like that.
    They will turn on the speaker and talk so loudly even on a bus or MRT .

    • @Azzi3lander

      I can’t tell you the amount of times on the MRT when I’ve heard an old person yelling into the phone

      Do they loud even when speaking Hokkien or only Mandarin?

    • @hs_y.20
      @hs_y.20 Рік тому +1

      yeah usually the people i meet that yell loudly on public transportation speak hokkien, most of them are elderly people. Younger generations that speak mandarin tend to speak as quiet as possible.

    • @BeerHombre
      @BeerHombre Рік тому +1

      They still do? maybe because Taiwanese still treat elders with more respect. I was once scolded, albeit very politely, for speaking too loud on the MRT in Kaoshiug of all places and that was a long time ago.

    I was once went study aboard in China, I went into bakery and order some of the bun I want to eat.
    I want to buy like... a portion of it, but my voice was too soft and they misheard it and gave me full box of it.
    So I asked my Chinese teacher about Chinese ppl actually speak loudly because of the accuracy of pronunciation?
    She said "Yes"

    This is just a way of life at this point, and it’s not just over the phone. The second your relatives enter the house it’s like a torrent of noise. If you have a huge family like that the best thing you can buy yourself is a pair of noise cancelling headphones. Trust me best purchase ever.
