Enna is secretly a top level secret agent that learned multiple languages and all forms of martial arts
As a Taiwanese, lots of the older people really talk like that.
They will turn on the speaker and talk so loudly even on a bus or MRT .
I can’t tell you the amount of times on the MRT when I’ve heard an old person yelling into the phone
Do they loud even when speaking Hokkien or only Mandarin?
yeah usually the people i meet that yell loudly on public transportation speak hokkien, most of them are elderly people. Younger generations that speak mandarin tend to speak as quiet as possible.
They still do? maybe because Taiwanese still treat elders with more respect. I was once scolded, albeit very politely, for speaking too loud on the MRT in Kaoshiug of all places and that was a long time ago.
Taiwanese oji-san : hello? chiok ku bo khoa tio li ah !
Honestly this just feels like an "old people" thing.
not always but yeah
Nah, I've gotten into conversations with people in mandarin and I found myself screaming too just to keep up
Kinda tru😂
Yea nah it's particularly the case for Chinese, even for younger people
@@jammaschan Chinese tourists are the bane for us in Vietnam.
I can vouch that many Southeast Asians who are new to phones tend to be like this as well.
As southeast asian, i support this especially the boomer....smh
I don't think my dad is new to phones
I'm Khmer but I'm like this to my parents when they're late XD
Yo my parents have two phones and they're still yelling on the phone with the speakers on.
Duuude. I feel this sooo much. Especially, when it involves say they need to connect to wifi for my fam... My aunt be screeching on the phone holding it like she's on speaker lmao. Oh! And when they want to record Paris By Night... I grew up to half hate Paris By Night becuz of the scuffed convos lolool
It always feels like they’re trying to one up one another in volume
1:21 That's why too much Mainland Chinese tourists in a sightseeing spot is like hell to people's ears
Asian people do this. Us here in Philippines, some talks like they're mountains apart! No need for an alarm clock.
Ikr(≧▽≦)
As a Chinese I can say this is true 😂 Especially the older people
A fully packed Chinese restaurant sounds like everyone is having a screaming match
At the last place I worked, the table of chinese speakers was by far the loudest...
SHEESH SHE SPEAKS FLUENT CHINESE DAMN
As a kid from a chinese mom i know how it feels, my grandparents just scream at eachother in the car, they aren't mad they just talk really loudly
Yeeeeeeeeeeep. Older people talking really loudly into the bottom of their phone, while holding it like a toast.
Gotta make sure those decibels really travel directly into the diaphragm of the microphone
Customers: How did you learn Mandarin?
Enna: Bro have you seen my *race*
My whole family is like that in gatherings. Bunch of loud canto and the drunk uncles and laughing aunties
My mom honestly does this and it's hilarious
I was once went study aboard in China, I went into bakery and order some of the bun I want to eat.
I want to buy like... a portion of it, but my voice was too soft and they misheard it and gave me full box of it.
So I asked my Chinese teacher about Chinese ppl actually speak loudly because of the accuracy of pronunciation?
She said "Yes"
lolol
As a Malaysian Chinese, we swears and talk in loud voice like every words .
I can confirm this, my grandma does it sometimes
lol the Northern Mainland Chinese be like that
ahem, as a canto, i can confirm that we are generally like that...i grew up in the west so i'm not so much like that but yeah, when i'm back home, oh boy
my family is chinese and we do this all the time…
My family is made out of cheese
So relatable, I'm quite a loudmouth myself if I forget to hold myself back but my parents are so much worse, imagine having to stand their loud voice in a cramped family car. Practically shouting at each other ffs
As a Chinese person from a Chinese majority country, I actually feel this. Also, I feel this is mostly towards "native Chinese" for lack of a better term. Those from the motherland. But ofc, it doesn't mean all of them are like this.
2:52 well~~ good chinese
it's a universally Asian thing isn't it? like the phone is right there but the volume is too the sky.
Yup, SEA does this, but not Japan though
I feel like what Enna said is true, but because I technically live in Singapore where the only time the audio levels are super low is night time, im really used to loud noises that i dont get bothered by it unless they are extra loud.
Its a saying that rather theres too many people in a place or theres too big land for too few people so their volume were hell large
Omg that's so spot on.
I wish that i was on that stream tho ,since im chinese but not from China. Those person Enna was describing is definitely CHINA CHINESE people since they talk with loud voice.I met them before, holishit , they talking is bassically shouting
I am Spanish but people tend to speak that loud here as well.
Vietnamese abuse their phones like that too.
Oh absolutely LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... flashbacks to calling my northern uncle...
thats how we asians roll
oh my god I thought I was the only one, I literally just thought that my friend's family was just always mad whenever I was at their place
This is just a way of life at this point, and it’s not just over the phone. The second your relatives enter the house it’s like a torrent of noise. If you have a huge family like that the best thing you can buy yourself is a pair of noise cancelling headphones. Trust me best purchase ever.
this weirdly makes me hungry because i associate loud chinese speaking with hawker centers which i deeply miss lmao
Ohhhh its so related
this is my mom everytime she says anything in mandarin
As a fellow mandarin speaker I think in general people who speak mandarin are just loud not just on the phone. Especially parents…
My mother speaks Cantonese, Mandarin but also Hakka ( another type of Chinese language ) but mostly Hakka and then when she's calling with someone i can litterly hear her yelling from another room-
But then she's just saying like "how are you doing?" Or smt calm 🥲
alot of older asian parents just yell at the top of their lungs when it comes to normal day to day talking and i sounds their arguing
RELATABLE
Everytime, my mom call is jusy like that :))), even me got turn into like that :)))
Madarin is loud and they sound mad and aggressive AF while cantonse sounds passive agressive
I’m Chinese and this is SOOO RELATED!
My parents and relatives all do this, can confirm
As a half, I Concede that my granma does speaks so loud, and I was like can you speak a little softer? But yeah she keeps talking like that. lmao 😂
True though as part of a Chinese family we do talk like that.
Loud😩
I can hear my dad in this video please😭
old aunties be like:
Relatable
LMAO I DO THIS
0:00 tskr
This is truth lol
Hahhahhahahahha omg this is so true
my Grandma be wearing hearin aids n shid
I think she is referring to china tourist but not all tourist are that rude definitely not singaporean & malaysian chinese
i am so so sorry ;;;w;;;) i grew up and know we talk loud and I get used to it so much that I end up talking loud like that if anyone talks with me in mandarin :'
People like to make fun of Americans for being loud, kind of glad its not only us
Wait Enna speaks mandarin?
chinese is just a combative language haha, like if you wanna fight and curse at someone, that's the language to use. but out of all the dialects I feel like canto and taiwanese are top tier for shouting at people
Is that a Genshin character?

We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just want to tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
@@jaay5458 bruh what is wrong with you? You could’ve sent a link instead of Rick rolling me by typing all the lyrics 😂
