these kids are so good and so fast they stay so wide in their stance too when handling the puck. as a beer leaguer im trying to take notes on all of these guys.
Thx a lot for posting this. Interesting to watch elite players partake in a small area scrim. Educational, and entertaining.😊
this is exactly how me and my buddies look during scrimmage. for sure.
I love how yall just GLAZINNNNNNN whenever Bedard touches the puck lmao
Great video, thanks for posting.
Hard for most people to understand just how hard that is…so fast, edge to edge, tape to tape. Crazy.
Great footage
This is what I like to think that I look like in beer league. I don't! Kudos to the skill of these players.
Why not? You might look like this! Having these skills doesn't take a lifetime to get, and though some of the skills are pretty slick, it isn't what is distinct about a pro and a beer-league A player. It's the shit in our heads that makes the difference. Pros not only know the strats, they are a second ahead of everyone else. That takes a life time and must be earned during young childhood. It's funny too, when you play with one in a beer-league or drop-in or something, you notice they don't have to do anything fancy, they're just a second or more ahead of everyone else and make it all look easy, lol
@@unit-0- don't forget about their elite level cardio. That's another thing that really sets these guys apart. There's plenty of guys that have the hands/shot/skaking etc, but having the cardio to keep up and be efficient throughout a full length game is a massive advantage these guys have.
Hope those Sherwoods work out for Bedzy. Pulling for him & for that classic Canadian brand
Angus Crookshank is gonna be a beast. Watched him in Langley and he’s got some of the best skills I’ve seen.
one of the best skaters i’ve ever seen he’s so powerful
Isn't he a bust pretty much? 23 with no NHL games, meh in AHL
@supeg He's actually been really good in the A. Better than the numbers would suggest.
great video
Amazing some of the clowns posting who haven't got a clue. Johnson (C) was a candidate for rookie of the year with CLB, 40 pts, a 1st rd pick, 5th overall in '21. Cristall LW, 2nd rd pick this yr from Kelowna in the Dub. Cagnoni a 5' 9" D-man, 4th rd in '23 from Portland in the W. Podkolzin RW, 1st rd pick, 10th overall in '19 & time divided between the 'Nucks & Abbotsford in the 'A'. Crookshank LW, 5th rd in '18 playing in Belleville in the 'A'. Zach Benson LW, 1st rd pick, 13th overall this yr from the 'Peg in the W. Klimovich RW, 2nd rd in '21 playing in Abottsford. Nielsen C, not drafted playing in Abbotsford. Rizzo C 7th rd, 2019 now U of Denver & Bains LW, not drafted, from Red Deer now with Abbotsford. This rink is in BC I believe & a bunch of the guys are obviously based in, or played out west. Some of them including Bedard, are really fucking good, but there's no contact, just skills work to keep sharp & later gear up for rookie camp &/or main camp for some. I think Bedard will make the Hawks & produce 50+ pts. I'm very curious how he will be able to handle fast, heavy NHL D when things get real in exhibition. There will be guys gunning for him.
Cristall made such a jump this year. I didn’t see it coming
Kent Johnson, Bedard … that’s all I know out there
Bedsy with the RBZ Pants. You already know he's gonna be flying out there.
Zach Benson is freakin dawg
Surg
yup, gonna be a steal imo
Benson is a freak for being 5'9. He just has to improve his skating.
Which one is he?
He’s 20 pounds lighter then the average NHL skater and he’s 5ft 10
where is this?
Maaqn chg will look crazy in 4-5 years
KJ put ‘em in the spin cycle
All white uni with white and red/black striped socks is pretty impressive.
Benson?
Bedard hasn't played in the NHL yet, and this video has already received 1/3 as many views as the average 22-23 NHL regular season game.
wish my right ear could have listend to this
Even in this short video with a bunch of NHLers you can see that Bedard is on another level. Can't wait for him to make his debut!
lmao he's going to be the biggest bust in nhl history
looks slow as fuck
doesnt look that good tbh
@@dillonmun5860Wrong.
Another level?????.. You have zero clue on hockey.. Nothing impressive at all
He will be a good player in a few years hopefully
did u get his autograph
Cool footage! What rink is this?
8rinks in Burnaby
Madison Square Garden.
Dynamo Central Stadium
sittin here on my computer with some gold fish, "He shoulda shot sooner on that one, kid's talented but gotta lot to learn * chomp chomp chomp *
lmao
the guys in red pants are sick
Who is the player in black jersey and dark red pants?
Kent Johnson. A certified stud
@@carterb.3388 sus
Bedard really needs to work on his one tee
Is this with the Regina Pats or with the Blackhawks?
Vancouver with a bunch of canucks prospects and other various prospects from the area
@@mikefreeze100oh ok 👍 is this a recent video?
@@carolki1315yeah they've been skating out there the last week or so I think
My brother is the one getting lid up hahahha
It’s Christmas time with all the gifts given on the ice.
Kids got mad skills. Could be the next Kirby Dach for the Blackhawks.
lmao what
who is who in this vid?
Bedard is white jersey striped pants, that’s all I know
date of this training?
i believe this was a few days ago
Podkolzin there? interesting
Kaner at this age was on another level. Same with Sid.
HUGE FACTS especially SID. I'm from LA and he was a monster on the edges and stickhandling and had high compete level like a badger. Not saying bedard is not elite but Sidney you just knew he was the next one.
Pretty good commentary too tbh
: DD
I played there
It would help to know who’s who!!
8 Rinks for those who are asking where
Be nice to know which one he is
This guy ain't gonna be a generational talent. Definitely, top 6 but not generational
Canucks and BC boys.
In the NHL he is going to ge hit and hit hard. Trade him now... Prediction, less than 80 points in the first seasons.
needs more DEI
Let’s get betarded yallll
2:38 such children with the reactions lol , probably the most normal snapshot and yall acting like its something new
lets see him play against physicality on the ice is all i need to see from this kid!
I don’t think he’s being very physical here but also the drills are not full intensity.
I think he might have a slow start but will be well adjusted for him half way through the season
The physical players better be fast skaters or Connor won’t need to worry about them. And when you dangle around them….
couldn't even tell which one Bedard was. No one stood out , that can't be good lol
That's my thoughts exactly! No one player actually stood out. And considering I've never heard of any of the other players listed, that's not a compliment to Bedard.
You can tell which one's Bedard from the start if you've watched other videos of him skating. Very distinct puck protection and maneuvering
@@thatjdmfd There was honestly nothing distinct about any of them. But you're right, I've only watched a couple videos of him playing in juniors against guys who probably 95% don't even get drafted. But that's the point. He didn't stand out against a group of players that didn't have a fraction of the following he does.
@@Milehighsnake98 Yeah I totally get your point!!
bedard was the shinest turd in a very soft junior pool of talent. a sign of worse things to come for future NHL play. he wont be good
I’m surprised Bedard isn’t trying to spend his summer training with established NHLers
He is training with NHLers
He's training with Crosby and this group of pros
It's not the Canadian style this is russian style!!
Kharlamov style
Does any one teach defence anymore. Puck chasing like crazy.
Arshdeep Bains 💀
Arse deep? Who’s that
Bust… #michkov
Don’t even know whose who. No name or number.
His toe drag is broke
unwatchable 23 fps idk if its just me
All I see is a beer league champ.... WARNING DANGER AVALANCHE AHEAD.... good luck...
Seems like he has trouble angling players while defending. He got caught flat footed quite a few times. Offensively, I think he made a few moves that were not the right moves for the situation. Honestly, after watching lots of highlights, I’m a little bit disappointed in how he looked. Only a few current nhlers out there, and he did not look dominant. I still think he will be a good player, but I don’t think he will be as incredible in his rookie year.
It’s crazy that anyone thinks these players, including bedard, were trying very hard in this practice. This couldn’t have been more casual than it was. Watch the games and practices that matter and you’ll see he practices way different than here. Do u really think he’s gonna slow down and stand around that much in real games and pass up shots while boasting one of the world’s best releases? No. If everyone here was going 100% you’d have a point, but Bedard’s 100% effort would destroy these other guys’ 100%. Fact of the matter is none of these guys were trying, so analyzing this is nothing short of insanity. He was literally playing as casually as people throwing up wild shots on their driveway screaming “KOBE.” Honestly, so was everyone else. They weren’t taking this seriously.
Bedard will have a good career but he won't pan out like people are projecting. I wouldn't call him a bust but I will say he won't be the best player chosen in the draft.
Ok buddy. Everyone is wrong and you are right. You should work for an NHL club with such incredible insight.
And Crispies, what level hockey have you played at???..
@@ToddCrispies I tend to agree. He's not going to be a Cale Makar. He's not even close to that level.
@thegolffitnessguru318 I’m sure you are an incredible hockey player that just missed playing professionally. Just concentrate on your golf career pal.
@Milehighsnake98 i would hope not since Cale is a defenseman….
Bedard boutta break his own leg so he don't gotta go to Chicago
why? he's playing with his team canada buddies
Nah his parents are moving with him too
Looks slow compared to the guys in Blackhawk pants…
There are no other Blackhawk pants in this video
@@ryantam2071I think he thinks the bender in the red socks and blackhawks pants is bedard
When they re-do the draft in 5 years, I bet Bedard won't be #1
lmao what
@@Braeden16Macdonald Which part don't you understand?
Wanna bet?
@@shonnesp1 Yes. That's what I said
funny how you're judging based on one practice video. this guy is generational talent, he has proven it in basically all of his games. he will be one of the best number 1 drafted players
He’s gonna be a bust lmaooo
Bust
Why do people hate on bedard for no reason?
@@TheChicagogamer he's too hyped up , haven't seen a player this hyped up before.
@@TheHenryDuong In what world does that mean he's a bust
@@TheChicagogamer even McDavid never got this much hype . It will put too much pressure on Bedard to be a superstar right away like McDavid and Matthews. Look at the 1st over picks after them.
@@TheHenryDuong he’s this hyped because his CHL junior career is more impressive than mcdavids was and world juniors he set records. The hype is deserved.
Fantilli going to be better than Bedard.
That’s not Fantilli, that’s K. Jonson
Which one is he (or k. Jonson)?
Thats what i think as well. Bedard won't live up to the hype.
Well Bedard nothing special tbh
That’s what I’ve been saying
Bro what???
@@djsmoove98
Yep
Bedard was placed in the blackhawks lap while GM Kyle Davison blew Gary bettman.
Cry about it
This looks like high school hockey
8 rinks?
yes
