The Soul Stirrers are one of the Sunday Morning groups that we listen to before we went to Church at Grandma Julia Miller house in Barney Georgia. Those were good days when all the family gathered together on Sunday after Church every Sunday was family reunion times.

Only Sam himself could have sung that song & sound like Johnny because they were almost mirror images of each other vocally. everytime i hear Eddie Huffman sing, it does something to me. His voice goes down in history! one of the best. i love Sam Cook and Willie Rodgers as well.
Bro. Huffman's singing does something to me as well, Vanessa. There is something about his spirit that strikes me as being genuine and true. Many gospel singers' lives did not measure up to the lyrics that they sang (Sam Cooke, for example) but my sense is that Eddie was the real deal.
