While fuel is our number 1 expense, we need to keep in mind that everything else is at all time highs, tires, insurance, parts and so on have doubled. rates need to be adjusted for that as well.
I learn so much watching your channel. I think a lot of us feel like we're almost part of the family just along for the ride. So many little fun facts that really make you think about things I'd never even consider otherwise such as in this episode how resilient cows are in cold weather and even wind direction has to be taken in account when transporting them in these conditions.I believe the podcast is a huge success by the way and I enjoy it very much. Please don't be offended but I usually end up falling asleep listening to the podcast because you and Luke have very soothing voices and the low level that which you talk during the podcast is very comforting and it's usually late after a long day at work that I finally have time listen to it so it's definitely not because it's not interesting. I usually finish it the next day at work to pick up where I dozed off so I don't want to miss anything. Glad to hear you had a good Thanksgiving and I hope your Christmas and New years are even better. Keep on truckin' brother!
You say family, I say part of the crew. I drove 20 years back in the 80's into the new century. Listen to Jax, he is teaching good stuff! Love the camera in window shots as he is driving. The placement of the camera could use a different choice. Blocked by wipers.
I feel I'm tagging along on the ride, experiencing the trucker-trait. See how normal, real people are, what they do for a living, and how they go through life. Wonderful scenery, good stories, and a great time. You are doing your job, and when you can you grab your camera, and explaining what you are doing. No extra camera people running around, no big production. Some drone views are nice, but understandably rare, because you can't work and control a drone at the same time :) Thank you for sharing this.
I think this extra long video is going to tickle the algorithms and blow your channel up. Hopefully this will get you a boost to more than 500,000 subscribers where this fantastic channel should be.
You look like a scary sasquatch but have gentle heart. I can tell just by the way you speak and handle yourself there's joy in your life and you just share it

Thanks Jax, that was another good episode going down some of my ol trails. I am curious about that hot springs wash out in SD, and sounded like Cody mentioned 25 miles back to Belle. I'm not familiar with that one. Never enough knowledge...always need to know about good wash out. Drive safe, and happy trails. Rather chat with you, than about you.
You start with I got a problem and your videos are long enough that you solve them at the end of them or maybe two. I really never thought about it until I actually watched you work with the family. So if you got a problem, and I'm watching you solve that problem, then I'm happy for you
Good thing you gave the truck and trailer a little love before this haul and there is something about the sound of jake brakes. Looked to be a good trip overall and thanks for sharing !

36:34 Don't know if you realized it, Jax, but that truck No. 53--parked at the pumps directly behind you--is the same tailgater you vented about earlier in this video. Thank you Jax for taking me along for another great trucking trip. Every time I hear a Jake break it makes me long to be out on the road again but this broken old woman most likely couldn’t handle it, and my partner is long gone. Jack's you have been through 15 tractors; a simi is a type of trailer son. I always used a light you could strap on your head so I could have both hands free. + I used a light for every occasion like working on repairs on the side of the road so you could hang it or use it with a stand on it to position it anywhere that was needed. I remember wax candy filled with cool aide, and penny candies. Jaw Breakers and candybars were 5-10 cents a piece. Bringing coke and pepsi bottles back to the store and buying candy with the money we got from the bottles.
Michelle and I had productive plans for getting some stuff done around the house this evening. But this was a great video to spend time on. Really enjoyed all of it.
Well that thing about being calor can have a cold that's really not true cold is really not true it in Nebraska as a Stockyard they sort the cattle according to how much hair they got or the top of their High high h i d e and the ones that haven't got enough hair they said south or keep them in buildings in order to feed them send send send them South they tried feeding Florida cattle in Michigan outside yards at 35°, they would fall over after you turn around and push them they were dead
My son pulled livestock for several years, if the manure was not to heavy he would use starting fluid and a lighter to soften the frozen manure to get the doors open.
When in Nebraska, try a "Runza" sandwich, we loved them. PS, I am addicted. I am recovering from hip replacement so spend quite a bit of time in fromt of the tv. Especially liked the segments with Heavy D Sparks...
I'm loving the Trucking side as much as the music. I played for 20 years or so in a band, trucking on and off since the 88 so I feel u brother.. absolutely 💯 love this content.. Hot springs wash out is the shiznit..lol.. keep on keeping on.. 💪
That was so Kool to watch that reminds me of my truck and days you should drive an old international 9670 nice little truck bouncy s*** but it was a nice little truck miss it Miss everything of it not driving no more wish I was on the road but I'm not wouldn't be homeless if I was
Just a fabulous video Jax I feel like a member of the family but you wouldn't want to drive up here in New England bumper to bumper traffic and fuel just went down to $4.99 here great video thanks Jax
Been there and done that. You got to love the frozen gates and then washing out in the cold and you are just soaked at the end. And you are to tired and just in bed for a short time when it’s time to for you to get going after the next load.
Great video Jax, thanks for taking us along for the ride! Apologies if missed you say this, yet was thinking with using more fuel than ole ‘Charlie Brown’, have you installed the PDI tuner on your KW overhauled DD engine yet? If not maybe that is the difference in why Cody had the better fuel economy… 🤔🤓
I have out the tune in, but we re still a few months from being totally broke in. He is much more aerodynamic. I did swap air filters, amd that has bumped me up a little bit this week.
I kinda took a different approach to start trucking. Bought mine brand new borrowed for it obviously. 12.5% interest cause I had no credit considered high risk. Still have the 07 classic with over 40,000 hours on it.
Jax!! Another great video. Truck looks great and sounds awesome! By the way how's your Buddy Jim that helped you rebuild the engine been doing? I know he is a wealth of knowledge and seems like a great guy. Any update what he's been up to?
Talked to him today, he’s been overhauling a cat motor this week. He got moved down to North Carolina and is doing great. We’re planning on a really cool UA-cam project out at his place on the future.
That was a great video. I especially liked the drone footage and music at the truck wash. I used to haul livestock and remember hauling dairy heifers from eastern Iowa to Mexicali about 1983. We had to use a garden hose and scrub brushes to clean out before coming back across the border. We spent hours. Where is this hot spring washout?
Loved the video!!! Finished my first semester of college so I have some down time and watched the hole video. Trying to catch some pointers for the future. Really like what you're doing and hope you can keep on doing this!!!
Hey, I noticed you didnt have a back haul of sorts. We use to haul bagged wood shavings back to Miles City for either Ace Hardware or would sell them ourselves. Payed for the fuel and then some.
Thanks for taking me on the ride!, this is stuff I never knew about, The part I liked was when the Charlie Brown truck and your truck loaded, in for the refuel, idling ,all lights on the trailer and the truck Just screams power! Curious about the Charlie Brown truck when you were parked overnight and the next morning you stuck the camera under the cab and it was some sort of steam generator, what is that ? an APU driven motor or what power is it? Thanks RG
Howdy Jax Merry Christmas and have a great New Year keep it save out there love your travels always watching commenting great filming sound editing wishing you good health happiness and success! And Channel Growth! 50000 by first of year!!!!!!!!
I’ll voche for those o lights . I bought the 3 set for $250 & worth every penny, bright as all get it , the one you have it great & 1 pen lite that is super bright for a pen . All rechargeable.
Hey Jax ... it's always fun to tag along your journey. One thought/suggestion, could you maybe outline your route you plan on taking at the beginning of the video. Starting point / end point and about how many miles. I kind of like to look at google maps and kind of follow along where you go. Thanks!!
While fuel is our number 1 expense, we need to keep in mind that everything else is at all time highs, tires, insurance, parts and so on have doubled. rates need to be adjusted for that as well.

I'm loving the Trucking side as much as the music. I played for 20 years or so in a band, trucking on and off since the 88 so I feel u brother.. absolutely 💯 love this content.. Hot springs wash out is the shiznit..lol.. keep on keeping on.. 💪
👊🏼🤘🏼
I was watching this video in smell-o-vision at the end.
🤣
That was so Kool to watch that reminds me of my truck and days you should drive an old international 9670 nice little truck bouncy s*** but it was a nice little truck miss it Miss everything of it not driving no more wish I was on the road but I'm not wouldn't be homeless if I was
Jax, Belle Fourche is known as the center of the nation. The Center of the Nation Monument is located north of town off of old hwy 85.
Just a fabulous video Jax I feel like a member of the family but you wouldn't want to drive up here in New England bumper to bumper traffic and fuel just went down to $4.99 here great video thanks Jax
Sounds busy
Been there and done that. You got to love the frozen gates and then washing out in the cold and you are just soaked at the end. And you are to tired and just in bed for a short time when it’s time to for you to get going after the next load.
You know it! Exactly
Lekker episode bru🤟🏽... podcasts rocking too🤙🏼. Love from South Africa 🇿🇦
Yeeeah buddy!!!
love that wash out my relatives used to own that farm, ear protection is a must though
Absolutely
Absolutely love your videos Jax!!!
Kansas special. 😂. Heading out there next week. Sounds like it’s going to be cold.
Just found the channel and I like it alot
Great video Jax. Stay safe buddy and Happy Holidays to you and the whole family
Nisland SD That’s a heck of a run you did!
I own a 1998 Peterbilt 379 EH. It has a Detroit 60 series 12.7
Loved the video!!! Finished my first semester of college so I have some down time and watched the hole video. Trying to catch some pointers for the future. Really like what you're doing and hope you can keep on doing this!!!
Whole
@@shawnmason5290 Yes thank you im tired 😂
Right on man. If you’re wanting to get into it in the future, make sure you listen to the podcast “steady at the wheel” you’ll dig it.
Hey, I noticed you didnt have a back haul of sorts. We use to haul bagged wood shavings back to Miles City for either Ace Hardware or would sell them ourselves. Payed for the fuel and then some.
My favorite was always a kw or a Pete. But I needed to have a cat engine
Thanks RG
It’s a diesel burner . Uses about a gallon or two a night is all. That way you don’t have to idle the big engine.
@@realwildwildwest thanks for the reply! Something else I learned!

Heck yeah buddy 🙌🏼
Hey Jax ... it's always fun to tag along your journey. One thought/suggestion, could you maybe outline your route you plan on taking at the beginning of the video. Starting point / end point and about how many miles. I kind of like to look at google maps and kind of follow along where you go. Thanks!!
@George No one will know the dates of travel... it was just a suggestion ....
again, I wasn't asking for specific dates and times, just a general idea. Don't be so dramatic!!
I’ll think on that. Thanks for watching !
The POV- Poop over view. Lol! That was disgusting yet very satisfying to watch 😂😂
Isn’t it funny 😆
