Thank you very much for your super nice comments! The Paradiddle-diddle is so expansive and has so much potential. The sticking pattern leads us to many fun creative possibilities. Next week we will study different BD rhythms against the pattern, creating some variable grooves. It’s been weeks of study with the hand pattern and now it’ll be a few more weeks of study, adding in some footwork. After all is said and done, we should have a vast array of ideas to work with. It’s pretty amazing how expansive one little idea can get! Thanks again chased-penguins and Happy Drumming!😊🥁🐧
Thank you! As you know, paradiddle-diddles can be used in so many different directions for some really interesting grooves and fills. Expanding the concept opens up many doors to more advanced play. I’m really glad to hear you use them often. And yes Buddy Rich’s talent is still to this day so impressive…incredible skill…rudimental rhythm mastery and blazing speed!
