Lego WW1 - 2nd Battle of Villers Bretonneux stop motion
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 тра 2019
- On April 25, 1918, during the 2nd Battle of Villers Brentonneux, the first tank vs. tank battle occurred.
A German A7v tank was met by 3 British Mark IV tanks, 2 of which were soon hit and retreated.
The German tank was then shot by the remaining British tank and the crew had to evacuate.
Next, the British tank was met by 2 more German tanks and infantry. But after getting fired upon, the German tanks turned around and withdrew. Later that day the British tank was hit by German artillery and the crew safely retreated to a British
trench.
Thanks to all the people who tried out for the voice acting

When you're chilling in the trenches and hear weird tractor noises
the young story teller *tank noises*
@@imapotatoandimproud4360 that's the joke buddy
the young story teller how is that a joke?
@@imapotatoandimproud4360 WW1 Started off with no tanks. Heck, "Tanks" wasn't even a word back then. When the British first deployed the tanks. The German soldiers in the trenches probably thought they were tractors. As no such thing like a "tank" existed at the time.
That's the joke. That the first ever soldiers to encounter tanks thought the noises were made by tractors or the likes.
Actually when they started tanks they gave them a code name called tanks because they looked like water tanks
Hear the sound of a machine-gun
Hear it echo in the night
Mortals firing rains the scene
Scars the fields
That once were green
It's a stalemate at the frontline
Where the soldiers rest in mud
Roads and houses
All is gone
There is no glory to be won
Know that many men will suffer
Know that many men will die
Half a million lives at stake
Ask the fields of Passchendaele
Which band ?

This is actually a really accurate depiction of the first tank on tank engagement ever!
Great job!
thanks!
@@JDBrickProductionsyo jd, after your newest animation make another dogfight animation. Fokker Eindecker vs any British plane again. Make it so that the Eindecker wins. I think it was a little in accurate the German one lost because German pilots were relatively better than allied pilots

It’s a stop motion...
I remember these stop motion videos from when I was super young. Happy to see people are still making them.
this is such an accurate potrayal of the first tank battle, especially the little detail that the mark IV male decided to stop and fire while the A7V kept firing on the move
OMG I was on the edge of my seat! Excellent detail re: shells absorbed by the mud and muck!
Very cool film!!!! Good job!
thanks!
This is so smooth, congratulations and keep up the amazing work!
That's probably some of the most fluid and seamless stop motion I've ever seen, great job
thanks!
This is so accurate right down to the smokey cabins in the tanks
Wonderful work! I love the movement of the tanks. You really got a feeling for the weight of these beasts. Great attention to detail!
thanks!
Amazing work my man, great stop motion, effects, and voice acting that is much better than others before you, the effects and realism is astounding, how the track breaks and slacks in the front is beautiful, that’s one of the amazing details in this video. Hope you have a successful career my friend :)
This short stop motion is really smooth! I can see the effort you made.
The best WW1 short movie ever seen!!!
Thanks!
So I guess UA-cam now recommend this video to me now...
This was an awesome video though I applaud to your short film 😃
That was one of the best LEGO movie that I ever seen. I’ve watched every single video on your channel because it’s so well made. Well done.
This is the best stop motion!!
I love it and the models and sound VFX are amazing 10/10 would recommend
Honestly I could watch a two hour movie of these Lego battle recreations... and even without real dialogue lol, they're still better than 90% of the shit coming out of Hollywood.
Awesome video,cool Minifigures
thanks bro!
Excellent job! I especially loved how you animated the impacts on the tanks. I've seen way to many brickfilms where people just gouge out the bricks with a screwdriver. Ugh, it sets my teeth on edge just thinking about it. Top marks for taking the time to animate the impacts with Lego!
thanks!
This is really good. Must've takin a very long time to makem
I feel so sad for the cute little minifigures dying.
Don't forget all the hard work that has been torn apart.
That was awesome when he closed the tank hatch
Awesome stopmotion I really like the smooth realistic stopmotion and the lighting and effects were amazing. Not to forget the awesome builds and custom minifigs nice job 👍
thanks I appreciate it!
Love how you included both female and male varients of those tanks. Great animation!
This so awesome. Keep up the good work. The land shark and the mark V were the ones that changed the battle field for both sides.
The genius of lego experts once again does not fail to disappoint. This makes me very happy, amazing work.
That was surprisingly amazing quality
Hey dude, fantastic vid. Only thing is, you need to keep your forces on opposite sides.
If the Germans are on he right hand side of the screen going left, then that is the only way it should be framed, and if the English are on the left going right, then the same applies. Otherwise it becomes confusing disorientating, which may be good for WW2 tank combat, but in WW1 it was mostly head on contact.
also the A7V "Memphisto" tank is not shown or labled, the reason i bring it up is that one A7V tank is shown that is rolled over onto its side, and it is the only surviving A7V tank (After the battle when the allied forces gained ground, they recovered it and it was sent to Australia, where it now lies. It is a tank skin in battlefield 1 for the A7V heavy tank and has some other refrences.) Also the A7V needed at least 17 men to operate, but now i'm nitpicking and the "males" and "females" Mark IV tanks look true to the original tank (males had cannons and machine guns and females had machine guns only, there were some mixes) . Otherwise great video! (one can tell i spend too much time on war history)
@@zomboss9242 Yeah, it was pretty accurate considering that in history books, two females withdrew and it was the male that took out the A7V.
TL;DR Keep in mind the "Line of Action / 180-Degree Rule" in regards to your camera angles. But still a good brickfilm!
@@11Survivor and is not a glorification of the tank battle, with the tracks being disabled as it was a MAJOR weak point of an early tank and rendering it compelety useless

This is an awesome battle (as always!), and although you did a great job of building the tanks, the shape of those early German tanks just makes me laugh. They're like a cardboard box on wheels, but metal. But nice job on everything here!
