- In honor of the 76th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge
On December 16, 1944, the Germans launched their last major counteroffensive of the Second World War. After planning for months, the Germans took advantage of a large winter storm to mount their assault, through which they planned to reach the Belgian port of Antwerp. At 5:00 A.M on the 16th, the Germans started bombarding the American line along the Ardennes Forest in Belgium. Fresh with new and inexperienced soldiers, the American line was quickly penetrated. The Germans attacked in massive numbers with tanks, soldiers, and other military vehicles. Within two days, they advanced past the forest and into the surrounding towns, including Stavelot, St. Vith, Schnee Eifel, and Malmedy. The following week involved intense fighting in the towns with fierce resistance from the American forces. One week later, on December 20, the 101st Airborne Division became completely surrounded by German forces in the town of Bastogne. The Allied Commanders, realizing the severity of the situation, tasked Patton’s Third Army with relieving the 101st. After intense fighting over the next week, the US 4th Armored Division of Patton’s Third Army arrived in Bastogne, alleviating the battered 101st Airborne Division and driving back the German Army. Unable to retaliate, the exhausted German forces retreated back into Germany. By the end of January, all traces of the counteroffensive were erased. Only three months after the conclusion of the Battle of the Bulge, the remaining Germans surrendered on May 8, 1945, officially ending the Second World War in Europe.
We did not include some aspects of this battle. This was not intended to offend or diminish the importance of the events that took place but was rather a creative choice we made.

You actually recreated the "NUTS!" moment, Brilliant!
General McAuliffe was a great general : )
It was nuts
Wait a second, that was historically accurate?!?! I thought it was added for comedic purpose. Absolute gold
@@milesgiovanni.3506 it is just search it
@@milesgiovanni.3506 yes, an American generals reply to a German message asking for their surrender whilst they had been encircled in a small french town. Actual reply!
The amount of work this must have been is insane. Incredibly well done!
Near around 8:58, the American Commander really did say ‘NUTS’ and that was what was sent back to the confused Germans.
Unfortunately, the "NUTS" response never made it past the courier. The courier read it, and since he isn't from America, the phrase "NUTS" made no sense. It would have been like us asking the Germans for surrender, and they responded with "APPLES". The courier asked the Americans for clarification as to what it meant. They said, "It means 'No'." , which is the message that actually got back to the German commander.
BEST battle of The bulge
WW2 LEGO BATTLE EVER!!!
Battle Of The Bulge was after the Hurtgen Forest.
@@roderickstockdale1678 oh
Yeeee
3:10 That Panther Tank's loader has arms of steel if he can load that fast.
Excellent film
Many of us played with soldier toys, thinking about the adventure, but... once you grew up you understand that there's a lot more behind these scenes. Anyway, this film reminded me my childhood games at home in winter. I wish you peace and dignity.
Thanks! And to you as well!
One of the greatest military communications in the history or ever; "Nuts!"
Extremely well done!! The variety in vehicles really did it for me. You had the whole line up for the Germans panther panzer4 marder 3m stug panzer4/70 tiger and king tiger plus the half tracks and antitank guns. Then u have the epic artillery. Good job!
Thanks so much!
The best walking animation I ever saw
Thanks!
that grenade throw at 10:16 was sick!!!
I really like two things about this film:
1) *It doesn't have music*
Real battle is not like in videogame. You don't hear any beatiful music motivating soldiers to fight, you only hear gunshots, orders and wounded soldiers begging for help, and that's exactly what we hear right now.
2) *Both sides take damage*
Battle is not like in action movie - it's not that these good ones shoot perfectly, while the others literally don't know how to fight. That's what this film shows - in Battle of Bulge some Germans died, even though they won the battle. The same goes for every other battle as well.
Both make it very realistic and actually show the gray reality of WW2. Let's hope this nightmare never accures in real life.
Thanks for your feedback! Yes - we make these videos paying respect and homage to the soldiers who fought and with hope that nothing ever happens like it again.
real nice I just found this
Wow no way! It’s an honor to have the LEGO war stop-motion legend watch our film! If you liked this, we bet you will like our even better King Tiger film: ua-cam.com/video/wCaJCQmxgQc/v-deo.html
Thanks for stopping by, you’re a real inspiration to us!
It is the Jesus of military stop motion
8/10
Suggestions:
Make the tanks a bit slower,
Make the Sherman has recoil
Make the tanks have a bit slower reload time
Make the tanks turret turn a bit slower
Thank you! Will do! We agree with all of your suggestions and will try to address inaccuracies in the future!
suggestion: just turn Down the video speed
TwinBricks Naw let him do his own video, yours is great as it is!
Jeez dude, it’s lego stopmotion😂
love to see the 761st, great grandpa served with em
Wow that’s awesome! Thanks for his service!
the advances in lego tech from WW1 to WW2 were incredible the artilery rate of fire was 5x!
I have seen thousands of hours of LEGO animations and a lot of them had clay only as a floor and this was one of the best animations that uses clay as a floor I have ever seen.
You did an outstanding job here, smooth movement, great special effects, amazing set, amazing explosion animations and so many figures well animated.
Thank you very much!
Holy crap, this is absolutely amazing! One of the best I've seen, you're really underrated, I hope your channel can grow more. Keep up the fantastic work mate
I know right!!! This guy is SO underrated!
Yeah! Look at them move
how does he make it so smooth lol
Compared to the battles fought by the Soviets this was a skirmish, the Yankees didn't do much to win the war.

My great grandfather was in the 101st Airborne Division during WW2!!! Also, no member of the 101st agreed that the division needed to be saved during The Battle of The Bulge during WW2.
Cool! Good to know!
Looking good, man. Keep up the good work!

Sincerest gratitude for your honorable mention of the 761st.

This is the most smooth stop motion I’ve ever seen .
Thanks for your compliment! Of course, there is plenty of room for improvement =)
Your videos were just recommended to me because I am a huge WWII buff, and I am COMPLETELY blown away by these!! You are ENDLESSLY talented!!! These are incredible, and now I don't think I will get a single thing done today because I can't stop watching!! LOL!!
Thank you so much for the support!
😉👍This is truly one of the very best Stop animation ones that I have seen so far indeed on the Battle of the Buldge and I love the camo on the German Tanks and vehicles indeed as well as all the great battle scenes, A job very greatly and very nicely well done indeed Sir!👌.
This was incredible! Swear down, alot of Battle of the Bulge vids have come out this year this is one of the best! I cant wait to see more!
Yes, there are lots of great BOTB films out there! Your films are great as well!
@@TwinBricks I think this is one of the best, u got almost every perspective of the battle in their, including the African American units who fought! I'm so impressed 😀
I love how the allies are carrying truckloads full of nothing.
lol
I think they could have just loaded it with some supplies or troops. But is one slight overlook. Overall still good.
Lol
I like the snow on the ground its well made
The best lego battle of the bulge film I have seen.
This deserves top trnding couse like bruh its smooth the audio is good and the legos are moving ON FLAT GROUND HOW?!?!
Thank you! Though we have to tell you that it was on a thin white clay ground. Similar to Brotherhood Workshop's films. If you haven't seen his, we recommend you to check them out!
@@TwinBricks wow i woudent think of that ur big brain
Dislikes must be from Cobi fans 😂
Better authensity than most movies ! Die Wacht am Rhein, was the german name for this Operation.

as a long time history geek, and a longer lego fan, this is just stunning. i be 64 and still have legos
HOLY SMOKES! THAT HAS TO BE THE MOST ACCURATE MOVIE ON THE ARDENNES OFFENSIVE IN LEGO or any other medium! You even put Hollywood to shame. Having done a fair amount of reading of the European Theater i was impressed with how you managed to convey the breadth and depth of the German offensive against the U.S. forces. I enjoyed immensely seeing my favorite panzers such as the Panther, Tiger I, Koenigs Tiger, PzIV along with the various assault guns and tank destroyers in the German line up. Nice to see you using the Nebelwerfer in the movie as well. Very impressed with you utilizing the African American 761st tank battalion, one of the very few minority combat units in the ETO. If i could, you should get a gold Oscar but for now you get a like and this comment! Well done!!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! We strived to make it the most accurate possible! 😁
Without a doubt, the best WWII stop motion I've seen on youtube ..... fluid motion and great models ..... five thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍
You know that I really like this video because it’s realistic like how the Sherman wasn’t able to penetrate the tiger and things like that
Nice technique for the Upside down ladder to look like a good rail on the truck
Thanks! However we cannot claim credit for it, as we built the truck following instructions from Brickmania
Oh nice
This is one of the best Battle of the Bulge brickfilms I've ever seen! As an avid fan of WW2, watching this was quite enjoyable. Well done sir!
This is impressive! This reminds me alot of brickcompass productions RIP
Thank you for reenacting this the battle of the buldge is where my great grandpa died
101st because the fighting spirt was respected by General George Patton , I think this division was the first us army division that can get General George Patton's respect
This is by far the BEST stop motion war scene I have ever seen! I mean the gunshot audio, the explosion audio, the story, and even the setup and settings, absolutely incredible! I subbed and I’m gonna watch every single one of your videos! I love the hard work and effort you put into this! ❤️

Daaamn bro the acuracy of the small arms is incredible.
Best video that I have watched on 18/12/2021
I just came over from your other channel The Lego Studio and this channel is so great. Great quality videos, mocs, and editing!
Greater than famous producers of lego films! I feel like this animation has turned youtube around! Great smooth action, many scenes good clean shooting noises, perfect!
These kind of shows would be a great way to teach young kids history. .

Thanks!
I am American, but mostly study German weapons of the World Wars and the Cold War, as an Eleven year old who determined 3 years to studying these types of things, you did good brother
Very detailed, the explosion kinetic energy and the track and foot prints on the snow. All done very well!

This fluid motion of lego is spectacular. You just got a new subscriber
Ohne ausreichende Luftunterstützung und genügend Treibstoff ... war diese "letzte deutsche Offensive" damals zum Scheitern verurteilt. Klasse Video!
Thanks!
This is very epic
I reckon if you had some more close ups, like a lot closer to the characters faces then this would look like a movie, super smooth animation man
Bro other battle of the bulge films don’t bring out the full justice of the battle. But this one tho. This is next level awesomeness!😃😃
Thanks for your kind words!

WHAT IN THE GOOD ANIMATION !!!
Awesome job this is one of the best stop motions I have ever saw. Keep up the good work!
One of the best WW2 animations and/or Lego animations I've ever seen
Btw how do you keep the Lego figures upright when on their own theyd fall over?
We use clay for the ground so they stick pretty well. We use tacky inside buildings to keep them upright as well.
@@TwinBricks Oh ok. Makes sense. I didn't even think about that.
Love this video and all the historical information, love all the fighting and tanks
OMG, that's so clever using clay (or play doh or whatever it's called). Forget the troops, guns, tanks, and the trees; the snow is something else
Oh crab, this is the best stop motion I've ever seen!
So it would seem
This is amazing! Your criminally underrated!
the fact that you used clay or a tack of some kind is really interesting
It was not our original idea, it is Brotherhood Workshop’s method. the clay helps make walk cycles easier, as the legs stick into the ground.
I smell underated
The animations are so smooth and SO good! Never seen such good quality! + new sub!
Thank you!
This is absolutely amazing you need more subs
HOW REALISTIC AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH IS VERY IMPRESSIVE
My uncle was with the 84th infantry division and fought in the bulge. Thanks for this video.
Omg your so talented at stop motion! I hope you will do more of this in the future! +1 sub!
We will try to!
This is the best lego stop motion I have ever seen. Great camera work, excellent special effects and this is with out a doubt the best diorama I have ever seen. this animation is so smooth it puts pixar to shame
the best stop motion I have ever seen
Good work! I appreciate someone who knows about history and the battle instead of just guessing what happened and knowing a tiny bit of WW2 .By the way where do you get your Lego mini figures and weapons?
Thank you! The mini figures are made using stickers from Brickmania, and the weapons are BrickArms weapons from Brickmania as well.
Ok thanks alot
really hope this video gets lot of views its great
I would just love to have some type of lego call of duty or battlefield. FPS or strategy game. That would be hilarious.
My great-grandfather fought at Bastonge (in the 101st, just to be clear). He also fought at the invasion of Sicily (before he was transferred to the 101st from the 82nd), D-Day, Market Garden, The Battle of The Bulge (Bastonge), and then finished off the rest of the war in Germany. He saw a Nazi Death Camp in Chezcolslovokia, and got a Luger and a P-38 from surrenduring German.
Wow that’s awesome! Thanks for sharing
@@TwinBricks My pleasure! I love sharing my Great-grandfather's story in the war and just talking about World War II (primarily the 101st Airborne)

What a masterpiece
Helluva way to tel the story of The Bulge. I doubt my 102 year old father who passed away last year would have enjoyed this as much as I did. But I would have still liked to show it to him since he was part of that campaign. 23rd Armored Engineers of the 3rd Army.
