Thanks for showing these, Alan. The artwork is gorgeous! I wish these anthology stories would make a return. Would be fun to scan through all those Tales From The Crypt covers.
Cheers Bryn. Glad you liked the video. Yes, I totally agree that the artwork is gorgeous. EC really employed the best illustrators they could when they were producing those iconic titles. And yes, same here - I too would love to see a return of these comics. Just think of all those stories that never actually made it to any of the Amicus anthology movies! So much material there they could draw from to make some new horror movies or TV series. I suppose the new Creepshow TV series is a bit of step in the right direction, although admittedly the stories can be a bit of a hit or miss. The horror comic I mentioned in the video, DC's THE WITCHING HOUR, would especially make a wonderful TV series - or even a movie - as it would be real cool to see those three witches brought to life onscreen as they each introduced their respective stories. You never know, thoughb - one day, it could happen. Thank you for watching.
I began collecting these when a different company was publishing them - I've around 15 hardcover versions and the early issues are stunning but the quality of the stories and artwork starts to fade. I don need Vol 3 of Vault of Horror as for whatever reason it sold out quick and then it was silly price time.
Yeah, I must admit, some of the hardcover editions of these books can be very pricey. That is why I settled for these paperback versions. So much cheaper, and just as good. Thank you for watching.
I am collecting these incredibly awesome books. Anything with horror, i am so with it. I would also recommend from the EC ARCHIVES collection of CREEPY and EERIE. Just really great macabre and dark reads. Hope you check it out. Thanks 🤘🏻 😁
