Great review but the 900m limit for ballistics is a deal breaker for me. As a Precision Rifle Series shooter I often have to range targets in excess of 1000m. I understand the ethical hunt stance but there should be some sort of over ride for competitive tactical shooters. :(

Вы в курсе о самом большой проблеме этого прибора?? Первый: передняя рамка пластиковая лопается сама по себе (заводской брак пластика). И вдруг вам понадобится сменить на охоте севшую батарейку в дальномере, не имея интернета (а как правило его в горах не везде он бывает) то установить даннные о балистике вашего патрона с телефона вы не сможете, а они при сиене батарейки у вас удалятся(((

To bad this doesn't have better connectivity. It would be great if it had Applied Ballistic External connectivity. I suspect the reason is extortionate high license fees demanded by Applied Ballistics, just a guess from looking at the huge price increase on any AB product.
Pairing this to a Foretrex 701 would be my dream config.

Buy a Kestrel 5700 Elite with Applied Ballistics and LINK, then you can connect it. It was designed to be linked to something like a Kestrel to give you AB curves etc.....hence the ".com" in the model designation.

Hi there... do you know if it is possible to "true" the elevation data within the app? For example if 7.5 MOA is predicted, but when fired and adjusted it is in fact, a 7 MOA correction.

G Dog you can enter custom ballistics into the app and then upload to the RF.

The limit is only when using the smartphone app. When linked to a Kestrel, it will provide a solution out to whatever range it can receive a hit.
