I didn’t play this until 2019 at 21 years old, but the game gives me such a feeling of nostalgia. The art, the music, the poor voice acting quality, the cheesy story. They take me to a time before all the bullshit. Back in 03,04,05 when I would watch my dad play ps2 for hours on end. I don’t know what it is about the game I love so much, but I know it reminds me of better times so I appreciate it.

I've been to these two shrines. The first one is Futami Okitama Shrine in Mie prefecture. It's kind of out of the way and it's not the most popular shrine of that prefecture but still popular. The second shrine in the video is Itsukushima shrine from the Hiroshima prefecture and this is a big draw for people nationwide, it's considered to be one of the most beautiful shrines and it is quite important. Both are beautiful in their own right but Futami Okitama is overshadowed by Ise Jingu in the same prefecture, which is regarded as the best shrine in Shintoism, it's not even debated. Try going on January 1st during the New Year celebrations and see how crazy it gets.
God I miss the point in time in my life when I experienced this game for the first time when I was like 17. Wish I could just go back to the December that I played this game, again. Guess you're only young once.
I was born in 2003 so I didn't get to experience that generation, but I think you're very fortunate to have been born earlier in time to experience it. I would've loved to have been a SEGA kid growing up, and even w multiplat I still was and am.
After playing Orcarina of time in 99/00 , I searched for games that were as great and drew you into their worlds. Whilst ive enjoyed many great games since, it took 24 years to find that game id been looking for, when i finally bought a dreamcast and shenmue!!
I've got shenmue 1 and 2 on PS4 I love playing shenmue 1 for the music I also love going out in the rain it's lovely to here the rain, they don't make games like shenmue anymore, I've played a few games similar to shenmue but the storylines weren't very good, shenmue has the best games storylines I've seen and it's really enjoyable to play especially the second part of the game
I know the music plays on ze_random (I was quite shocked as a fan lol) but if you haven't played Shenmue yet, you should definitely check it out. Play it or watch it if it's not your kind of game, the story is beautiful.
