Emma Fuhrmann’s acting here is phenomenal; she really looks like she feels as if she’s seeing a ghost. She does so much in such a little scene. She should never have been replaced.
I prefer her *much* more than Cassie from Quantumania
she would be a better actor than Cassie from quantumania.
Shame they re cast her for a more known actress
@@Scratmafakathat’s what he said
@@nyxknight7555 He said he preferred Cassie from endgame and I said she is better. Not the same
This actress showed more emotions in this scene than the one in Quantumania
"DAD!"
I one hundred percent agree with you, in fact I've been saying since this movie came out that Cassie's actress in Endgame showed genuine grief, pain, and relief with only a few seconds, one word and a look. She is great and I was excited to see her return in the future but for some asinine reason they choose to replace her and with an actress who I just don't believe hits that mark as Cassie. Nothing against the Girl in Quantumania I just would have preferred Emma Fuhrmann
They never should’ve replaced her.
one of the reasons i dislike the girl from quantumania is that she resembles amber herd so much and i just cant stand her. but even if they didnt look alike, the quantumania girl is just not convincing to me.
Quantum suckss
2:06 - 2:29 no exaggeration, this is some of paul rudd's best acting. the relief that she's okay, the confusion that she's grown up, the realization that more time passed for her than for him, and the dismay that despite everything he did he still missed seeing her grow up
And does it saying very little. It's a masterclass of acting
This scene was better than the entirety of Ant-Man 3.
Ant Man 3 wasn't that bad. Kinda weak in some areas, but it wasn't as awkward or bland as other Marvel products

I know, it was just beyond wrong that Emma was recast out of nowhere…she should have been Cassie in Quantumania
This scene is one of my favorites in the movie. Even the kid on the bike, you can see his face curl in disgust and his eyes narrow and you can tell exactly what ran through his head.
That kid ends up playing Spyder in Avatar Way of Water!

The look that kid gave him when he stopped. WOW… the actor didn’t even need words to show his “what the F did you just ask me?” Question.
One of the worst recasts the MCU did. She did a way better performance in 10 seconds than what Kathryn Newton did the entire ant man movie
Blame it on Loki
New actor is the best. Do you even check your comment Lol
@@ptourraktukuay6584everybody is calling Cassie in quantum garbage she even almost got the role as Kate bishop thank god that never happened
Haven’t Watched Quantumania And Never Want To. Can’t Deny Kathryn Newton Has Talent Though
@@user-jd5no5ij6tI agree that Kathryn is a talented actress. Her performance in the movie Freaky was phenomenal. But she was not a good fit for Cassie. Throughout the whole Quantummania movie, it was so distracting because you could clearly tell that wasn’t the same actress we saw in this movie
I believe marvel made a mistake not going with Emma Fuhrmann as Cassie lang. she was already established and she went from shocked to disbelief to actually belief and happiness all in the span of 3 seconds. That’s the makings of a good actor there.
One of Rudd's best pieces of acting. Such a range of emotions, with no words, in seconds. I'm the father of daughters, and the look on his face when he realizes that his daughter is alive, but that he's missed 5 years of her life that he'll never get back, is like a dagger.
This actress showed more emotion, likeability and on screen chemistry in 1 minute than Kathryn Newton did in 2 hours
0:10 This kid went places. He was in Avatar: The Way of Water.
Yeah and he was really annoying in Avatar 2
Wait. What Character Did He Play?
he played Spider, Quaritch son
He was the whale that with the broken flipper. He gained some weight for the role.
4 year on I still cry when Cassie says “Dad”. Every emotional beat in this film is earned, they never be able to get this magic back.
She's like how have you NOT AGED and he's like I'm paul rudd I NEVER AGE
Well, she also wanted to make sure he was real.
I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the most emotionally devastating scene in a movie that also has Iron Man’s death, the portals scene, Thor’s trauma, and Steve’s final act.
I thought the beginning when Hawkeyes family just disappeared and he couldn't find them. Freaked me out
@@DivinePearl yeah, that one hit me pretty hard too because you knew exactly what was going to happen and just had to sit and wait for the tragedy to unfold.
You wanna cry? Go see interstellar when the main character misses over 20 years of his kids lives.
@@MaverickMSzero I have seen Interstellar, it might be the best scene of Matthew McConnehey’s career. I’m not sure what that has to do with this.

Still wished they kept Emma Fuhrmann in Quantumania...
Edit:
1:19 love Scott's reaction when he saw his name instead of Cassie's on the Wall of the Vanished...
1:55 - 2:30 love the wordless storytelling. relief she's okay, confusion she's grown up, sorrow you missed seeing her grow up and joy that you're together in the end
Honestly, Emma looks so much more like a teenage Cassie than Kathryn. I think that recasting her was a Terrible Idea. Plus, I was hoping for in an upcoming Ant-Man movie where she and Harley Keener from Iron Man 3 (Ty Simpkins) become a Couple. !!!
Not really. Kathryn looks more like a teenager. She could’ve been Cassie in this scene. And then they could’ve recasted her with Emma in Quantumania. But, I don’t question the MCU. Not anymore now that Deadpool has come to save it.
this is most emotional scene for me in whole marvel universe...... Whenever i c this i get joy and tears in eyes at same time......
Emma Fuhrmann dodged a bullet there in the name of Quantumania.
She could have been an improvement.
@@eyeseer1 not with the script that was in the movie
@@eyeseer1 She couldn't have saved that script. It would've been painful to watch her being forced to play the Anti Cassie.
Yeah, it's still despicable that they recast her for no reason and didn't even tell her (she literally found out on social media), but in a way a blessing that she wasn't forced to try and salvage her character after being butchered in the script.
What we see in Ant Man 3 isn't Cassie. It's the anti Cassie.
@@1000000man1That's sucha dik move
Every time a scene from Endgame or Winter Soldier or Civil War or Infinity War gets posted, it just reminds you how great these films are and how far the MCU has fallen.
So true. I still think the double whammy of Infinity War and Endgame will never be bettered
Im not even a dad and yet this scene hurt worse than a thousand bullets to the chest
Cassie is better in this one scene than she was in the entirety of that abortion Quantumania. Should’ve kept Emma. And what’s worse is she found out from online she wasn’t coming back. Dick move Marvel
I don’t know why they replaced her. The only explanation I can think of is that, as usual in Hollywood, they just wanted a big name actor playing Cassie
@@superjackster0165and it backfired to some point given The one they choose lacked Facial expressions
Say what you want about DC, but at least James Gunn don't fire actors online instead he has meeting and addresses the situation and wants to move forward with other directions

@@adammilette3076 no but as far as I know they usually don’t recast this scummy way tho. Like they seriously couldn’t tell her themselves that she wasn’t coming back? She had to find out on social media? That’s awful
2:27 Janet probably thought the same when she saw Hope
A neat detail: if you watch Paul Rudd’s reflection in the windows of the door, you can see the confusion on his face and his head track downwards slightly as Cassie appears, because this young woman can’t be Cassie because Cassie was a little girl when last he saw her. It’s just phenomenal acting on Paul’s part.
"you're so big!" i understand his shock, she went from like 6 to 16 in 5 years XD
This scene is one of the best Endgame brought to the world. Sure, she looks a little older than what I would have expected Cassie to be after five years, but the actress was actually young enough to match the role.
The writing and acting here are amazing.
Dudes first proper sentence he said to his daughter was a witty comment. I like to imagine he made it for 1, he was trying to bring a sense of levity to the shocking revelation and 2, to prove to his daughter that it is him and he is actually back.
shows mcu cares more for recognition then acting skill
which is what is wrong with the MCU now. they need to go back to casting the right person for the role like they did when the MCU was first starting out instead of just giving the role to a bigger name like they do now.
@@Keitek agreed
She really did a great job in this scene
I needed more of these two 😢🥺❤
new cassie can't match 1 percent of her emotions
Still haven't seen the movie, but that reunion was a big tearful one for me. No matter what others would say, Cassie loved her Dad and he loved his daughter. This was a good embrace for them. I really liked it. ❤
The Cassie that SHOULD have been in Ant-Man 3.
The first hour of this movie is so good. Some great emotional beats.. this is one of them.
The father/daughter bond. Unique, special
Deadpool: Which one? Fuhrmann or Newton? These timelines can get so confusing?
just imagine how much must it hurt to miss seeing 5 whole years of your child growing up..
why was she replaced? like actually what the hell was the problem with this amazing performance?
More recognizable. At least the one in Quantimania was. I'm not saying I disagree for the record. I'm simply answering the question.
When you add happy, relief, sorrow at one moment in time ❤️😢
Then in ant man 3 they made her an ungrateful smartass
That's usually how heroes are made and introduced. Peter Parker wasn't a prim and proper goody two shoes at the beginning
@@andyshepard4309He also wasn't an inconsistent dick. Compared to her, he was barely even a slightly rebellious teen. And the current Spider-Man incarnation WAS a really good kid right from the get go, so even in the MCU that argument doesn't hold any water.

Are you afraid that she's gonna turn into some kind of criminal? Quit worrying about her, okay? Something's different. She'll figure it out. Stop lecturing her, please.
SCOTT LANG ANT MAN DAUGHTER BIG
I was promised not to cry 😢 but now I'm crying 😭😭
I almost cried with this scene. So well build.
"What the hell happened here."
His silence says a lot. He doesn't answer cause he doesn't know.
He does. Its like asking how your mom died while attending her funeral.
The pain on the kid's face was just a STUNNINGLY GOOD acting job! Wow. I saw more pain in his face, no words needed to be spoken. And then he rode away. This entire scene was STELLAR!
I looked it up and when Ant-Man was stuck in the quantum dimension, Cassie would've been 10, when he left so 5 years later, she is now 15 years old when he comes back.
They really did Emma Fuhrmann dirty.
Not only did they unnecessarily replace her for seemingly no other reason than to hire a slightly more recognisable actress (because it definitely wasn't about acting ability) but they didn't even inform her. She found out through social media with everyone else. That's despicable.
On the other hand, you could argue she dodged a bullet laced with every disease known to man, by not returning to the role, because of how they butchered her in the script.
Her scene in Endgame is one of the few genuinely touching moments in the film, largely due to her performance, despite the fact that she has less than a minute of screen-time and utters no more than a single word of dialogue, in a near 3 hour film.
So I suppose it's ultimately a blessing that we didn't have to see her forced to play the anti Cassie in Ant Man 3, even if the way they recast her was reprehensible.
I genuinely hope she gets better offers.
That's probably one of my favorite scenes in this movie, for how father and daughter reunite. Cassie thought Scott was dead like the others who got snapped away, but then here he is, standing in front of her door. Next, we see her in the end with her dad and the now restored Hope.
so good, I have to rewatch this part every so often
Oh boy... this makes me cry everytime
such a simple but powerful scene in the movie that really sets the tone early on.
Imagine the infinite emotions racing through your mind when you realise your daughter is not only alive, but that you've been suspended from the space-time-continuum for years and that she's grown up without you.
Really wish Scott had brought his daughter with him to the Avenger's compound after this, that she had played a role in the movie beyond this moment.
In San Francisco, there would be 30 of those blocks with people named "Lin" or "Ling."
5 hours for him away from his family, 5 years for her with no Dad.
They never shouldve replaced her. Kathryn newton was horrible
Even tho this may not be exactly true, everyone returned because of scotts ides of time travel
No, it’s true. No one thought it was possible. Tony Stark (the one guy that could) didn’t even consider it until Scott showed up.
Scott’s return proved in one fell swoop that time could be manipulated. It could be traveled. Not only that, but with the Pym family gone, Scott was the ONLY one who had any idea that it could be done and had any working knowledge of the tech required to do it. Sure, Tony could have figured it out eventually, but the one Quantum Tunnel in existence was in the back of a crappy van in San Francisco, and I guarantee you Tony didn’t know about it or he would have yanked it out of storage himself.
Scott Lang was THE guy with the tech and skills needed to do it.
Well, thank God for Scott lang

This is how our world basically is now.
Emma fuhrman could have become a household name is Hollywood if she had acted in Quantum mania they ruined everything
Whoa! San Francisco looks exactly the same whether it’s Newsom or Thanos!
This will always be one of my favourite TV and movie tropes. ❤❤❤
When done well, I am bound to cry buckets. This one is certainly up there as one of the better ones and it is in all honesty what keeps me coming back to the movie (well that and Ant Man himself in this movie; Paul Rudd brilliant choice for this character).
Why the hell did they switch the actor from this movie to quantumania
God Endgame was a masterpiece of emotion.
Thry should have had an extra 5/10 mins of them catching up. With Cassie twlling Scott what happened and vice versa.
Antman's idea to get the stones from the past was the first domino in a long line of dominoes to defeating Thanos and undoing what he had done. But his daughter seeing him alive was the most emotional moment in the movie.
I was trying so hard to keep my comments and reactions in this movie to a minimum because I have a problem with exactly that.
This was the moment I knew I was in trouble.
How old was Cassie supposed to be in this movie?
15. Cassie was 10 years old in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Both Rudd and Fuhrmann’s performance in this scene alone really outdoes the 3rd ant man movie
And that’s the last we ever saw of the loveable Cassie
One of the most emotional scene in EG. I still prefer this Cassie, actually.
He sure has a lot of different daughters
I wanted THIS Cassie Lang for Ant-Man 3!!!!
Wish we gotten a Hawkeye series or movie set during the blip it would've cool to see how Marvel Universe was during that time all we seen the aftermath of it I know there was Agents of Shield but not a lot of people gonna tune in to that show and see what it like between IW and Endgame
In all seriousness memes aside when he asks "what the hell happened here?" to that kid, and he only gives a look of pure despair, and bikes away without a word tells you everything you need to know on how the snap affected the rest of the remaining population. Amazing 'show don't tell.' I really wish the Russo brothers stuck around longer for phase 4
him
I know. His expression is akin to someone asking how your parent died while at their funeral.
Imagine having this moment that is absolutely defining to Scott's character, in the day and age where Disney is obsessed with using CGI and deepfakes to keep actors' appearances consistent across time and space--and replacing Cassie for the character's next appearance. And they didn't even tell the actress. It's still utterly wild to me.
QUE CENA INCRÍVEL DEMAIS MUITO INCRÍVEL
The most unrealistic thing about this entire movie is that San Francisco was able to build a memorial in less than five years. One mile of high-speed rail has taken 20 years.
