      It reminded me of the TNG episode where Picard breaks the Neutral Zone with a few Klingon Birds of Prey:

      Picard: “And you will not survive ours. Shall we die together?”

      I haven't seen the movie. Can you explain the quote

    • @Hallowfire10
      @Hallowfire10 Рік тому +52

      @@johnborris3222 Basically, Saladin was leading the Muslim army and Balian led a small calvary charge against a sizeable force of Muslims. They are beaten and Balian is captured and is shocked to see the Muslim leader being the man he saved earlier in the film. Then Saladin arrives with the much larger army and at the same time, King Baldwin IV of Jerusalem arrives with his army of Christian Crusaders and Knights. So the Mulsim Leader that Balian saved tells one of his men to tell Saladin that "Jerusalem has come." Although I guarantee Saladin could see, its just a line for movie purposes and for it being an epic line, it adds nothing to the plot. Overall, it's a very good movie and you should watch it.

      @johnborris3222 what @cryptelis4380 said, and also when Balian is talking to the Saracen commander, in the background you can faintly see the Jerusalem army approaching with a golden cross in the centre. When the commander says this line, the camera cuts to the army in focus. It's an epic moment

But then he has a slight nod to himself, his determination comes forth as he realises there is no way out, and he simply stands, and waits, ready to die killing Boltons.

      “I put no stock in religion. By the word religion, I've seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the "Will of God". I've seen too much religion in the eyes of too many murderers. Holiness is in right action and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves. And goodness - what God desires - [pointing at his head then heart] is here and here. And what you decide to do every day, you will be a good man, [smiles] or not.” So freaking powerful.

      The event from the book is based on the The Charge of the Winged Hussars at the Siege of Vienna. The largest cavalry charge in all of human history, an event that will never be repeated. Before reinforcements showed up , Kit was prepared to die a last stand, good vs evil. He would sell his life honorably and take as many with him as he could. This is honor. To stand alone against a foe who outnumbers you 1 000 to 1. This is how heroes are made, legends born.

First one when the seige of Peking is lifted and troops from the larger western nations (including Japan) come marching in, and the second when the Spartan fleets rolls in and helps the other Greeks kick the stuffing out of the Persians,

    I'd also add Luke showing up at the end of Season 2 of Mandalorian. One that is less well known is We Were Soldiers when Mel Gibson has to call Broken Arrow, an emergency order for air support. They literally sent every combat aircraft in Vietnam to drop whatever they had on the enemy. Link follows
