Acoustic Guitar Sessions Presents Dawn & Hawkes

Acoustic-guitar duo Dawn & Hawkes recently stopped by the AG offices in advance of their upcoming SXSW shows.
Miranda Dawn and Chris Hawkes met five years ago in an Austin bar (he asked her to dance) and quickly realized their romantic chemistry inspired them creatively.
Watch them perform “Love Your Forever,” “Almost Mine,” and “Silver Line,” all from their debut full-length album Yours & Mine.
In between songs, Dawn & Hawkes offer insightful backstories on the music and its inspirations.

Indeed, saw them last night and chatted with them after the show. Really nice people, and in person Dawn is, as you say, painfully beautiful, even more so up close and in person than can be seen in a video. She has the flawless and serene face of an angel, and the spirit/personality to match. Chris is a cool guy and an amazing guitarist. Don't let the mellow vibe of their music fool you, Chris Hawkes can pick and rip with the best of them when he wants to and has amazing control over the instrument.
Chris and Dawn just plain belong together, are so obviously happily and deeply in love, and it was just great to see. It is impossible to be around them and feel stress. I walked out of their show and the post show chat with them feeling like I just had a gentle spiritual massage.
