trailer queen - the car that gets towed everywhere either because it does not run well or its a show car that can't be driven. this is similar to the garage queen. Can also be applied to "street cars" that are always hauled to the track/street.
The funny thing is that garage queen cars deteriorate in storage, especially anything with moving parts, the best thing to do with them is put them on a rolling road every so often. "it will loose power if it is driven" it will loose more if it isn't.
The term Pavement Princess reminds me of the term Chelsea Tractor, a British term I think, primarily used on SUVs and Offroaders that will never see the off-road terrain if they can help it.
I kind of always thought a mall _crawler_ was specifically a (deserved) derogatory term for crossover SUVs that look a lot more rugged than they are (so like, all of them).
My dad's 70 mustang fastback sat in our garage for a very, very long time while we were restoring it since it was in a crash a while ago. This year we got it painted, restored the interior and alot of other things. There is still a lot we need to do to it but he drives it all the time so its in working condition. Someday we plan on putting a big block in it, new suspension and disc brakes.
3:38 "They don't own the car. The car owns them." I invented that saying in South Africa. 17 Years ago. (Re: my dad and his 500 SE merc). This is my contribution to the world.
@Coldern Ice Thank you. That's where I got the spin for my phrase. To be honest, we live in a day and age where everything and anything that can be said...has likely been said. It seems foolish to try to claim ownership over phrases, especially with all the fake quotes that are made each second on the internet. Words are meant as a form of expression, they are meant to be shared. Not, "I own this phrase". It's different when it's a whole 3 minute song. But trying to declare ownership over a couple of sentences? Don't be ridiculous.
I live in Dubai, home to Dubai Mall, the one shown at 11:12. There's multiple massive multistory parkings all around the mall with a valet service as well. The valets have all been trained to park the expensive cars they get in the dozen or so parkings spaces located at the entrance of the mall instead of the multistories to attract tourists or whatever (and it's working). So you'll ALWAYS find an exotic car parked there. Some people even valet their exotics just to show it off at the entrance. I don't go there often but whenever I pass by the entrance, I'll see Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, etc.

And there's this one guy in my neighborhood who's showing off his BMW 760LI E65 (w/ Akrapovic exhaust pipes) by driving across the streets, and even at night, where everyone's fallen asleep, he'd turn on his Beamer and rev it all the way up. Here we are: 2 types of Mall queens
I saw some mall queens/cruisers at Harrods in London. It was a gt3rs jus cruising around for like 2 hours and then just left. There was also an identical black and red Urus and range rover just lapping around Harrods. Why.
1993 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 rotted away but saved and took a year and a quarter to restore it! Took neck aching phonecalls to find a floor out in Oklahoma from a 90 sunbird from rocker to rocker. Hagerty covered it for $10,000 and yes it's a garage queen! I only drive it a couple times a month! That is it
My grandfather owns a manual 1965 Pontiac GTO with a softtop he restored in highschool if I'm not mistaken, it's a beautiful car, spends most of its time in a garage, but he does take it out time to time.
@Aar Kay You are aware that if Toyota had built the new Supra it would have been expensive, right? Also, the McLaren F1 has a BMW engine and last time I checked, no one was complaining. Anyway, it was either they teamed up with BMW and keep the price affordable or they built it themselves and people, including yourself, complain about the outrageous price. Point is, not every auto manufacturer is going to build their own vehicles themselves. Sometimes they team up with other car manufacturers to keep the price tag low and keep costumers happy.
Theres a guy with a really nice Corvette C5 in his garage up my street. I don't know how you manage to keep a car in there for 20 years. He only has 276 miles on it too, I know that because I went to talk to him with my dad.
My classic Mini is a garage queen with a lawn mower parked in front of it.... Sad face. I used to daily the Mini until I moved further away from work which meant having to bring the kid with me to swap in the parking lot. Now I only get to drive the Mini on rare occasions when the wife takes a day off work or comes home early or the kids are with grandparents and wife and I go out for a date night.
I can totally understand keeping a Porsche 918 Spyder or Ferrari LaFerrari in a garage most of its life. If... No once I own these cars I would drive one of them at least once a week but most of the time they'd be in the garage because they are just so beautiful.
Imagine trying your hardest to restore a classic car, working day and night to fix it, but being too poor to afford all the necessary parts, and then getting made fun of... jesus christ
Tomi Vuori to be fair. You wouldn’t buy an expensive sword and use it to chop on a tree. Or a rare and valuable item and use it for its original intended use. Now I’m not trying to start an argument, but it’s not fair to say what is and what isn’t the correct way of using things people buy or get with their own money. If I had an expensive car like a Mclaren, I would have enough money to own another car that I could drive for it’s intended purpose. I wouldn’t want to drive my car to much and ruin its value due to high mileage. Also, there are millions upon millions of people on the road everyday. That means there’s trillions of possible accidents over the course of a year. Personally if all I were able to walk away from, I would rather be in my lesser vehicle. Not my rare and expensive one. While yes cars are designed to drive, crash, and break. Some are more fragile than others, more expensive to maintain, and overall just more of a liability on the road. Some cars are meant to be driven, like corvettes, hellcats, and other more affordable cars. Cars that aren’t meant to be driven in my opinion are the likes of, cobras, 50s Ferrari’s, and more very rare or expensive cars.
@@ozzygilliam9194 I agree, i too dont want to star t a mess in comments, i dont formulated too much my opinion, but i was referring to places like scrap yards and police paths, here in my country theres a lot of cars that police arrest/lock because people coudnt pay debts, taxes or even was used in crimes, sometimes these cars go on auctions, but it not sufficient to maintain empty these places, so them are rusting and wasting material used in them , some poor people could give a use, but the government doesnt have laws for this. Yeah people are free to use the way they like, but reliable and not so rare cars are sad to see stopped by.
Tomi Vuori any car can be expensive. If you have no money every car is expensive. For example mustangs are considered cheap, yet they’re still 50. Maybe some people who can’t really afford that or make 50k in a year have one of those cars and treat it like a baby. I’m just saying every class of people have a different meaning for expensive. So you can’t just say they won’t be expensive.
I remember, several years ago, a story about a Lotus Esprit that was bought new and immediately stored. It was in storage for decades before (I think) the man's son found it after he died. It had not appreciated in value like the original owner apparently was gambling it would.
If you live anywhere near Oregon you should cover a video on my mustang clubs cruises, last year we rented out a WW2 blimp hangar and had 100+ people line up inside it and we have photographers to secure extra footage as well or they can send it to you as content to use

that is a show room in Melbourne it pretty much has every car
Hey bladed I have a 2002 Audi TT quattro I’m trying to decide if I should get a bigger turbo or spend more and get a sequential twin turbo setup what should I do?
I’d say go for the twin turbo setup. It might cost more, but, in this case, there’s a reason for that.
Get rid of it before everything breaks. Get a miata, turbo that
And there's this one guy in my neighborhood who's showing off his BMW 760LI E65 (w/ Akrapovic exhaust pipes) by driving across the streets, and even at night, where everyone's fallen asleep, he'd turn on his Beamer and rev it all the way up.
Here we are: 2 types of Mall queens
I saw some mall queens/cruisers at Harrods in London. It was a gt3rs jus cruising around for like 2 hours and then just left. There was also an identical black and red Urus and range rover just lapping around Harrods. Why.
This must be a new term. I’ve heard of pavement Princesses. Great video
"Mall queen" Here where I'm from we call it the "mall mother"
1993 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 rotted away but saved and took a year and a quarter to restore it! Took neck aching phonecalls to find a floor out in Oklahoma from a 90 sunbird from rocker to rocker. Hagerty covered it for $10,000 and yes it's a garage queen! I only drive it a couple times a month! That is it
You forgot trailer queens
most trailer queens don't have a choice, they're just not road legal.
Worst Girl nope
Elise GT1, Ferrari FXXK, Aston Martin Vulcan, Ferrari FXX, just some of the illegal road cars i know.
How did he know my lawn mower is a garage queen 😱
8:38 humble flex
A car that is still being restored and still not operational is not a garage queen,
Keep up that Nice work bladed!
Also whats Ur favorite car racing game?
NOPE Carxdrift racing online is pretty fun and cheap if you like drifting
Yeah, but im more to simulators and that goddamn NFS most wanted
Also You should try assoluto racing
@@nope8818 ye i play assoluto
My grandfather owns a manual 1965 Pontiac GTO with a softtop he restored in highschool if I'm not mistaken, it's a beautiful car, spends most of its time in a garage, but he does take it out time to time.
Come on guys , admit it , the New Supra looks super good
5:21
@Aar Kay hmm i do like bmw , my favorite is M1 and the M3 E92
Yeah the bmw supra 320i is quite achievement
i like e30 e46 and e90
@Aar Kay You are aware that if Toyota had built the new Supra it would have been expensive, right?
Also, the McLaren F1 has a BMW engine and last time I checked, no one was complaining.
Anyway, it was either they teamed up with BMW and keep the price affordable or they built it themselves and people, including yourself, complain about the outrageous price.
Point is, not every auto manufacturer is going to build their own vehicles themselves. Sometimes they team up with other car manufacturers to keep the price tag low and keep costumers happy.
Then buy a BMW
thank you so much bladed angel your videos entertain me and i absolutely love them
What about trailer queens getting towed around like royalty
“They don’t own their car, the car owns them!”
So...simps? No? I’ll shut up now.
No, simps is more like, i love u and want you but u don't care and just take everything from me without knowing about it.
Yaaas queen!
my grandpas mustang roush speedster v8 (#45/100) is literally the definition of garage queen. hes had it since 2012 and it only has 650 miles😂
just realized i garage queened my lawnmower
Theres a guy with a really nice Corvette C5 in his garage up my street. I don't know how you manage to keep a car in there for 20 years. He only has 276 miles on it too, I know that because I went to talk to him with my dad.
Last time I was this ealry.........I was early
Metallica fan?!!😉
@@laflammechristophe4548 Yup! Second favorite band
Hello fellow Metallica fans!
Alexander Curtis what's your first favorite band?
My classic Mini is a garage queen with a lawn mower parked in front of it.... Sad face. I used to daily the Mini until I moved further away from work which meant having to bring the kid with me to swap in the parking lot. Now I only get to drive the Mini on rare occasions when the wife takes a day off work or comes home early or the kids are with grandparents and wife and I go out for a date night.
I mean if it’s their car. They can do what they want.
I can totally understand keeping a Porsche 918 Spyder or Ferrari LaFerrari in a garage most of its life. If... No once I own these cars I would drive one of them at least once a week but most of the time they'd be in the garage because they are just so beautiful.
My friend garage queened his Rolls smh
I've seen a guy just sitting in the front of the mall in his Senna doors open blaring music for a week
No Camaro deserves to be a queen, no Corvette deserves to be a queen, any American car (minus maybe the Viper) shouldn’t be a garage queen
Arin B. CERBERA SPEE-
*just got flashback from Viet-Nam(lole)*
THEY’RE ON THE TRACK!! IT’S TRYING TO KILL US!! THEY’RE FIRE EVERYWHERE!!!
Sel Randolph Ever heard of the Ford GT? How about those old rare Mustang Boss’s that go for over a million dollars? Open mouth, insert foot dude
Oh the camaros are drivers cars they dont deserve to be garage queens either
Azriel Almaden I was only bringing up a quick 2 examples to shoot his point down, of course there are more lol. Not attacking anyone
@@Article_170 me too, I just think cars are meant to be driven. After all thats there porpuse
Imagine trying your hardest to restore a classic car, working day and night to fix it, but being too poor to afford all the necessary parts, and then getting made fun of... jesus christ

If I ever owned that beautiful blue Bel Air, it would be a road queen because I'll never let it sit alone in a garage. It would be my daily driver.
If I ever start making cars and sell them, people buying them have to drive them or I will take them back and sell it to someone else.
Agreed!Cars are for driving and help us in our lives, entertainment, not to stay like a decoration item!
@@ozzygilliam9194 who said my cars would be expensive?
My wrx sits outside year round and is daily driven pretty hard, glad I actually use it lol
I remember, several years ago, a story about a Lotus Esprit that was bought new and immediately stored. It was in storage for decades before (I think) the man's son found it after he died. It had not appreciated in value like the original owner apparently was gambling it would.
A few cars of each should be preserved like in a museum or something but not all
If you live anywhere near Oregon you should cover a video on my mustang clubs cruises, last year we rented out a WW2 blimp hangar and had 100+ people line up inside it and we have photographers to secure extra footage as well or they can send it to you as content to use
To be able to afford a car thats worth storing in a garage. Or afford a garage.
