To make this remote control and still have silent start up, a 2-channel RF remote can be connected (example link in description). I would leave the the 12V supply plugged in all the time, and power the receiver and frequency generator(FG) with the 12V supply. The receiver would use the 12V as its input power, and the relay for the FG would also tap into the 12V. The ultrasonic output from the FG would connect across the 2nd channel. The RF receiver can do momentary, latched, and toggle with timer capabilities up to 1 hour so MANY options to suit your needs. Examples are press channel 1 with timer to turn on FG for 20 min, and either pulse channel 2 every time it barks, or set it for a timer of say 10 minutes. Just got to be sure to turn on FG channel before signal to speakers.
OPs method is superior/suited to most cases.. but if you wanted to avoid noisy startup, another way may be to install an inline frequency filter.. to filter out anything in human hearing range. i'm not a pro.. and only assume this is possible.
I have the typical problem millions of Americans do, a obnoxious dog next door and a owner that doesn't really give a shit,i live in a small lot house with privacy fence all the way around except of course next door where the dog barks, there is a small chain link fence so the view is direct, no obstruction so i figured this would work great. Sad thing is that dog just sits there and barks, nobody ever comes out and tends him except for some food once in a while, a couple of weeks ago we had minus 6 degrees (rare for these parts) and a couple of feet of snow (even rarer) and that dog was out there in that, not really sure why they have him or what role he plays. Unfortunately for him I'm gonna have to make his life a little more miserable since the owner wont own up to his barking,my piece Of mind has no price and ill do what i have to do to be happy, i have no pets and no kids and dont bother anyone, dont even go outside and make one iota of noise so i expect the same in kind, the only noise i wanna hear are the cars driving down the street and if i could control that too i would do it,lol, thanks for this video.
I am in the same boat. I once approached the owner about this, he was pleasant and said he would see what he could do. The next night his wife, a two ton battle tank of a woman with jet black hair and teeth rang my door bell, when I answered, she said I was just complaining because her husband was Hispanic and that I was a racist pig! I unceremoniously told her where to go and the fight was on. Over the years she has settled down a bit, the dogs still drive us bonkers, we have tried calling the cops (They explained that if I could catch the dogs out of their cage, the fine for discharge of a firearm in city limits was only $35.00 and the judge hates barking dogs) I borrowed an anti dog attack device and if you aimed it right you could shut them down for a few minutes but the owner wanted it back, so back it went, and again the stereo sounds of a German shepherd and a pit bull returned as they went off for any sound in the night. A door slams six blocks away, off they go, a car pass on our street another 5 to ten minutes of the bark serenade, so I am going to build one of these. I think, though, instead of buying the signal generator I may just hook up an old MP3 player and have recordings of dog whistles play over a large amp through a set of tweeters and see what that can get me.
I'm sorry to hear that you guys are suffering from a barking dog. I had the same issue at my last property and moved...only for my new neighbors to buy a dog and that poor thing is left in the backyard barking all night and it's driving me crazy
Try an Alexa echo dot with a routine that runs after detecting dog barking. Thats what I'm going to try. I tested the routine and it seems to work. But I haven't tested in real world yet
I guess with 15 Volt you will get 25 % more power in the piezo. An older Version oft these Kemo can fire up to 24 Volt what is up to 100 % more Power than with 12 Volt.
Can I plug the 12v supply into a Bluetooth outlet then turn it on and off using my Phone, that way I could sit on my deck an turn it on when they start barking
Need a device like yours but in place of a switch I need two PIR (passive infra red) to trigger it when both or either activates. I only have rudimentary understanding of electronics. Do you think it will work?
Yes that's a great idea! You should be able to buy a normal motion sensor light and use the existing IR switch to flow current to the generator. Probably cheaper than getting a standalone IR switch. As far as the reviews, because it's high frequency it needs to be close range and line of sight. The short wavelengths can't travel through objects or long distances. I won't say it's user error, but too high of expectations.
Hello. Can you make me one of these and I’ll pay you for it? 7 pits next door to me and I’m about to lose it. Going on 3 years now and they went from 3 dogs to 7
could I just record the freqency noice needed on a recorder and just play it back on a regular speaker with a large amplifier so that the frequency noice previously recorded be way louder being that we will not hear it any way?
The issue is a normal speaker and amp aren't capable of ultrasonic frequency. They are typically rated for 20-20k hz only unfortunately. The frequency range should be on the speaker and amp somewhere to see if it was possible.
It is manual with just these components. To make it sound activated, the easiest way would be to buy The Clapper and connect power supply to it, or take the sound relay out of the Clapper and put it in line with the signal generator. Then power supply would be on all the time, but frequency generator would only turn on when sound is detected.
They dont get used to it, its annoying. they way it works is it blocks out everything the dogs hears, so it doesntbark anymore in repsonse to stimuli. Often that stimuli is other barking dogs, but if it cant hear them, it wont bark.
Anyone in NY who could make me one of this? I haven't slept in 2 years since my new neighbor moved in with her 4 dogs. Is terrible !!! I am for real. I will pay. Might even need 2 because the bigger dlg hangs out in the back room.
Can you make one that counter acts the sound...that will stop the sonic sound? For example if someone is using some type of sonic device to encourage your dog to bark throughout the day/ night ...can you make a device that can stop the sonic sound. I hope this makes sense :)
Someone is using a device to encourage your dog to bark? I highly doubt it. They are used to stop dogs from barking. Stop trying to counteract the sound. Make your dog shut up, or better yet, get rid of it.
@@logicalblueberry FYI...I have a chow chow these dogs only bark when they have too...they are not known to be barky dogs. Also this behavior is odd. Again thanks for your unnecessarily rude comment.
In order to counteract the “hypothetical” attack someone may use against you and/or your animals, to cancel the frequency being used you would have to determine the exact frequency they were using, and then play the opposite of that frequency. For example if they were playing a 23k hz tone, you would need to play your own -23k hz tone. However, the distance between your sound source, their sound source, and your ears or your animals ears could alter the sound and ultimately make it worse. So while in theory yes it would be possible to cancel the frequency, it would be quite difficult to get it just right (especially when frequencies used are not within the normal human hearing spectrum).
yes, but not directly, what want to do is make a speaker that gets triggered by loud ultrasonic noise, this will then go off and everyone will know what the offending party is doing, it has the same effect as if you made their sonic device audible. people wouldnt abuse a device like this if it wasnt silent and anonymous

hi, have you really tested on dogs, does this device really work?
Would you build one for me and ship? If so, at what $. TIA

Can you please post a video of this wiring diagram please?!?
Would you please recommend a solution for a device with a longer distance with stronger frequency generator
+1 I need to get a 25m range from my piezo speakers. I had a look for amplifiers but not sure how to cable them
Same, my neighbor's dogs are annoying and those idiots leave it out all day. I need to make one of these that's like a thousand Watts
Beautufil machine to bring peace to our homes and minds! Thanks!
What would you charge me to make one for me? Thank you and standing by. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to do this video by the way.
How can this be extended to a range of 50 feet?
Can you show us the speakers - what are they? Piezo - High R? Or 8 ohms?

also dogs dont like certain smells check the list of smells they hate. put some by the fence on your-side

what the most powerful product available on market for dogs ?
The frequency generator has has low ratings from users. Has yours worked well?
Only has low ratings cause people can’t figure out the electrical aspects
Can I plug the 12v supply into a Bluetooth outlet then turn it on and off using my Phone, that way I could sit on my deck an turn it on when they start barking
Great video. Really well explained.
how many DBs can this produce?
I have a question. Where can I find and buy an ultrasonic amplifier (20kz-35khz)?

Nice design but I need way more range, like 100 yards, can it be done?
Look up LRAD
How would you mount an amp to it? I want to make one but super freaking loud for stupid neighbors dogs
You sound like a real cock sucker
I have a question if you hooked up an amp would it make it work farther away?
No, because the piezo are Voltage sensitive, not current like in audio amp. More Voltage give more power to the piezo...

Hey do you make these to sell I need one for 70 feet
Will this be able to penetrate the next door neighbors windows where the dogs bark ?
what is the DB output of this unit ?
Do you sell these?
How far, distance-wise, is "medium range"? Standing by.

I have the same Ultrasonic noise generator. I'm confused which range I should have it set on for dogs ears. Does anyone know?
25Khz
Crazy what steps we have to take because our neighbors wont

Samsung SmartThings or a Wemo plug would do it
