Losing, ha I lost mine years ago, have moved several times had arguments with neighbours after aski g nicely, finally settled in house, have some sort of understanding with one neighbour even though I occasionally have to sleep in another room. New neighbours above our house rented it out and guess what, yes two barking dogs, asked them and they apologized but they've done nothing. I'm always amazed how these inconsiderate people will put dogs in line with someone else's bedroom but never their own. And we have to pay a fee to have someone from the council check it out (that's new) but stinks of revenue raising.

The dog control officer in my county told me that barking dogs bring out really bad thoughts in people's minds that normally wouldn't think anything like that and he also said that 99% of the time when you go talk to your neighbor's politely about their barking dog it accomplishes nothing and usually turns into an argument
I sadly realize that people all around the world suffer this lack of peace because of the irresponsible neighbors that can't control their dogs, it's more serious than it looks, they are stealing us our thoughts, and ideas and peace of mind with their never stopping barks. That's pretty unfair.

They are not able to respect their own pets nor their neighbours. Sometimes I think, what's wrong with them? Is it so hard for them to respect others (animals and people)? Of course the answer is... Yes.
Don’t even talk about it I had to move my work desk to another room because when I was on calls my colleagues could hear it barking and howling.
To make matters worse the mutt would always manage to jump over their shitty fence and get into my yard where it would then shit or piss.
The neighbours then started to hate me because I threw the shit back over to their side with a spade.
The final straw came when me and my wife were sitting outside one night and the thing hopped the fence and was running up barking at us, we managed to run inside but it was in there for over an hour until the stupid neighbours came back and seen where it was.
From that day forward I told them that if that thing ever came onto my property again I would shoot it.
The funny thing is that they proceeded to spread rumours around that we were crazy. I don’t want no Rottweiler running around my yard aggressively barking at me, I was extremely lucky my wife of I weren’t bitten.
I have a right to be safe in my own property so I will shoot your mutt that you are incapable of controlling!
Now they have actually built something that you could call a fence and they let it outside less often.

@@volcanoaddict5480 When my dad was about 80yo, the neighbor's pit bull got into my dad's backyard where he was tending his fruit trees. The dog was always aggressively barking at him, but he was basically helpless to stop the loud barking while he only wanted to do retirement gardening. The dog attacked my dad's crotch area while fending him off with a shovel. He screamed for help. My brother heard and ran to defend my dad, grabbing a steel rake and hitting the dog's skull until it fell dead. Police were called and the neighbor asked them to arrest my dad and brother. Luckily, the dog was only able to rip my dad's pants before being fended off with the shovel. Afterwards, the neighbor threatened to sue my dad and had no regard for how his dog had nearly permanently injured my dad or killed him.
I'm glad this worked for you. I plan on getting this for my house. I live with my sister who has 3 dogs that bark at the wind. So to avoid killing them, I'm researching an alternative.

I understand what you’re going through. I too live next door to inconsiderate neighbors that allow their dogs to bark throughout the day and not do anything about it. I actually said something to him about it in a very polite way and it seemed that because i said something to him that he did everything after that to ensure the dog barked more. Very inconsiderate people.

It literally sounds like you're living next door to my neighbor I went and talked to him and he basically said get off my property and his dog got worse after it's amazing they actually say they don't hear the animal making noise I'm the only one who hears it I can't figure it out

A friend of mine had an issue with a noisy neighbour and evey time he would wake up he placed a big woofer against the neighbour's wall and blasted lound music until he gave up and called it truce.... sometime you gotta beat them at their own game 😅

Thanks for the video. The irony of this video is that the comments are not being read by the actual dog-owners, they are being read by us annoyed neighbors. I have come to learn that dog-owners have a mental blind spot when it comes to their dogs. They love their dogs so they automatically think everybody else loves their dog too; including the annoying incessant barking. I will give this a try to see if I it helps. Thanks again!

We have a damn high pitched yapper in our community here in the Philippines. 3 dogs left outside in a small area with one of them constantly yapping all night and day. They've been contacted by the street captain and we posted a picture & video on the group chat of the neglected dogs. We thought that would change them into doing the right thing..My sister in law who speaks Tagalog got into a heated discussion online with this dog owner. She stubbornly refuses to take care of the dog or barking issue. I'm doing recordings and we may have to escalate to the barangay captain. Also looking at devices like this. Unfortunately they are a few doors down so this device may not work.

I bought this product after watching this video and it did work for me. I put it right at the line of sight towards the dog with no obstructions and it wasn’t very far away for either and it worked. The barking stopped about 80% but my neighbors end up getting evicted so thank God the dog is completely gone.
Had a new neighbor move in and had a dog that had the loudest annoying bark. I left a note and asking the people to control your dog it’s so rude. I was so mad 😡 I didn’t know what else to do so I googled my problem and I watched this video and though I would try since I could return it to amazon if it didn’t. Couldn’t wait to get it and it arrived hooked it up and the dog ran immediately away to the other side of the house and haven’t heard it bark since. People cannot hear it when it is set on Ultrasonic mode. We can only hear it when it is set to Audible.
Hi Mark, I need to know if this unit actually emits the sound like in the review video. My neighbors wont tolerate this device. They will reprise against us with covenants or reporting us to the county about something. Also, we have a wooded and wild landscape area on the edge of our property. Will this ultrasonic sound be broken up by the vegetation if I try to line it up between trees? And can I hide this under some kudzu or branches? I am trying to avoid conflict with these people as they are well off and entitled and inconsiderate (i.e. dangerous).

You're a vet? Most training methods say to use treats, but one of my dogs isn't food motivated, and the other is food protective. What do I do to train them in this circumstance? They usually only bark at each other, and I can't treat the food protective one, because he'll fight the other one, and can't play ball to motivate the food-indifferent one, because that will make the other one bark.
We play with them a lot to get their energy out, which works somewhat for the food protective one, but the other's energy level is 11. I've resorted to e-collars when they won't listen and they only go outside under supervision so they won't bark incessantly, but I'm sure the neighbors can hear it even when they're inside. I do hear their screaming kids and don't complain, but I'd like some peace for myself too.
Any suggestions?

We live in an apartment. Next door a lady & her pitbull moved in. The dog barks for about 45 min. at a time, several times a day. We've talked to her, the apartment manager (they just sent her an email), & notified the police 3 times. Nothing has changed. We need something like this!

I'm not sure where you live Sir , but I had the same problem my neighbors built a kennel in the rear of there yard . Which would place it about 20 feet from my bed room window .The damn dog's would bark all night . I contacted Authorities and they were informed that your pets cannot disturb the peace and keep your neighbors from sleeping . They obeyed the law for about two weeks . This time when we called the police they were summoned ,and had to appear in court . They were fined 1500.00 dismissed , but if they disturbed us again they would be in contempt of court and fined 3000.00 . The barking stopped , and they never spoke to me again . But who needs people like this anyway . I tried to talk to them about the problem , and I was told by them that dog's are theirs and I should get over it .

You are so lucky to live in a place where they take dog nuisance barking complaints seriously! They do not do that where I live. They would not come to visit anyone, much less issue a citation. They used to issue citations, but not enforce them.

You have my 100% support, and you are a grounded and logical person. Consideration breeds tolerance, a lack of does the opposite, this together with a lack of sleep lowers tolerance even further. Good idea being stealth, inconsiderate people are not open to correction. Great that you have found a peaceful solution. I have built my own using key fobs and Kemo ultrasonic generators and they work with some dogs but no others, it appears you have one that affects that breed. Great work :)

I have a neighbor who starts putting their barking dog out at 6 in the morning. And they also collect wind chimes that you have, I don't think people realize how far that noise carries. Between the low pitch barking and the high pitched Windchimes, it's enough to drive a person crazy.

Left a nice note, letting them know just in case they weren't aware with my name and phone number, and no response. Luckily I do have a clear line of sight from a garage window that I could open and prop it in. Appreciate how you keep replying for all of these years, months. Most youtubers don't do that. The only 'barking control device' that ever worked for me was a scoped air rifle. I reside in an apartment complex which overlooks a property with the 2 noisy dogs. Just 1 shot to the rump (each) was enough to stop the incessant barking. The lone occupier has a (thirty-something) son who visits numerous times throughout the day, and he's a noisy cretin too - as he leaves his car stereo on full-blast when he enters the house. So I shot him in the backside as well. He now parks his vehicle further up the street. You gotta fight fire with fire.

I bought one off of your review, I was trying to stop a neighbors dog from barking. It worked GREAT! Only thing is , my dog hated the ultrasonic mode. I forgot I left it on and I heard my wife asking the dog ( women) what’s wrong. My dog hates the inside. He wanted to come in and lie down. I had the device in a window that covered my backyard and the neighbors barking dog. I never heard the neighbors dog growl before. ( tee hee) So I have to put it more outside towards the fence. That way it will not effect my dog. But, thanks for the great review.

Thank you so much for providing this video! I just ran across your video and wish that I would have seen this video sooner. But I guess it is never too late. A little story of mine is back in 2019 I have become a new father with a newborn that my wife and I alternatively take time to look after. During that same year, we have two separate families of neighbors that just moved into the houses next to us and had dogs as well as working on their houses. Needless to say, the following year we didn't get much sleep between taking care of our newborn, and the noisy neighbors who were building fences (on three different occasions and doing massive landscaping) among it all they have two dogs that constantly bark day and night where we both were going crazy due to all the noises. After calling animal control, they said they are unable to do anything. So I contemplate ordering some tranquilizers and tasers to use on them. But I guess this thing works, so I will definitely have to order it. Thank you again for posting this video!

A neighbor of mine once complained about my terrier barking, so I bought a collar device that very effectively dealt with
the problem. Unfortunately, not everyone is considerate of other people.

I am very saddened after reading these comments with having the same problem as mine. My father is a vietnam war veteran and he is now 80 yrs old. We have a neighbor who has 3-4 dogs; 2 of them are caged. We asked them politely regarding the problem for around like 5-7 times for 2 years and we only get the same answer (it's normal for the dogs to bark). Just awhile ago, my father had enough and hit one of the neighbor's fence with a slingshot that frightened the neighbor. They were arguing so much that I am worried that this might end up to courts or police officials.
I just dont believe some people are so disrespectful and unconsiderate. We were treating them well since they moved near our area. I just don't understand why they don't seem to care when their dogs bark aggressively especially when other dogs pass by their place. We also have 4 dogs, but we invested our time and effort to train them and treat them like family and not just guard dogs. I may not be able to get one of these since it is not available in our country (PH) but i will be downloading an ultrasonic sound that will be blasted whole day facing our neighbors. Still also cant believe I'll be spending so much just make other dogs to shut up and live peacefully for our family's sake.

I feel your frustration! I think the ultrasonic sound only would work if it sounds when the dog barks, and stops when the dog stops barking. If a sound (ie. Ultrasonic or other rendition) was playing all the time, all day long continuously, the dogs would get used to it (desensitized) & thus ignore it & bark anyway. When you are home, you can try emitting the sound when the dog barks, and when it's quiet, stop the sound. As far as this Pro unit, it would make more sense if it works by being placed facing towards the offending sound (ie: a wall facing their apartment where the dog barks) not by "line-of-sight". Just my .02

I truly feel for you, Sir! I had this problem about a year or so ago and I could not for the life of me understand why this neighbor was so inconsiderate by letting her dog out at 6 in the morning where it would bark for an hour to two hrs straight! This neighbor also would play music loud and LATE, sometimes into to the morning hours (they have outdoor speakers and would have music loudly playing even when NO ONE WAS OUTSIDE!!!! Smh

So theres a renter with a mastiff (cuz her landlords stupid) that she just lets bark cuz she dont give a crap about me the homeowner who moved in & paid cash. So she lets this dog bark for hrs to disturb peace in MY home that I paid off. Were both black too so its not racism its just that im better than them AND they know it.
I politely told them gentrification is coming & its gonna get real expensive for the folks who havent prepared (renters) for it.

I'm in same situation with disrespectful "neighbors"- they've copped an attitude with us somewhere along the line & doing it for spite. Dozens of city police calls have hardly helped, they just keep it in for a while then let the mutt back out late nights to bark it's head off. Talk about hateful!!

It got a little better for the early mornings but it's slowly becoming a problem again. Now I have the dog barking and the neighbors yelling the dog's name for it to stop. Which of course that doesn't work, so now I have the dog barking and neighbor yelling. Talk about dense!!! WTH? Helllooooo, neighbor you haven't trained your dog to respond to you. The neighbors, OTOH, have 4 loud dogs (the one mentioned was just the newest and the worst-behaved), as well as an unhoused rooster -- in a close-quarter, urban residential neighborhood. I try to believe the best in people, but all indications from our interactions so far is that they're just inconsiderate jerks.

Omg my neighbor is TERRIBLE! They just moved in and they did not have any dogs but now suddenly 2 dogs. And one is outdoors all day barking and barks all night. I left a note on the door which got ignored and you know they hear their dogs! I will try this device bc we can’t pick our neighbors and mine is super trash. Our neighborhood was quite until they showed up.

Most states its a state law for people to control their dogs noise, our state is a $150.00 fine every time someone calls and complains.....The owners seem to learn really fast!!
We don’t have a state law like that where I live. Usually it is cities/counties that define how to interpret the law. Animal Control doesn’t have enough funds in our city/county, so there is no one policing barking dogs. Calling the police or Animal Control does nothing.

You would need to have evidence i assume. Otherwise one could just call the cops daily onto someone innocent just because they hate them for some reason. Also, if the dog owner gets to know who called the cops on them, you may get a (hopefully only verbal) fight in return.

Two words ... Wrist Rocket. But seriously, folks... Great video. A bit hard to sit through, but the coverage of the product and the way everything is covered was very helpful. Many times you buy a product and the advertising and / or the instructions do not give you a reasonable expectation of how to setup the product. I found the adjustment to the products sensitivity VERY important. I would imagine that some folks get one of these units and become upset if it does not work immediately. The product obviously requires some ... adjustment before it performs as it should. And wow! Did it perform or what? One bark - the deal kicks on and the dog shuts up! I've been living in my home since 2015. Luckily no one has had any barking dogs until a family moved in next door. They've got 2 big dogs who love to bark. It got to the point where neighbors behind me knocked on my door to complain. I let them know that it was the neighbor to my left.
About 2 weeks ago I heard a lot of cussing and arguing with my neighbor and another guy who was complaining about the barking.
My neighbor asked me if I poisoned his dogs. I told him no. He said someone threw a bunch of Vienna sausages filled with Defcon rat poison in his back yard.
His dog bled out.
Compelling.

Ahhh, the loveliness of rude neighbors 😑 I have neighbors on all sides that let their dogs bark incessantly. My two girls are great! We go in the yard and they don't even react to the other dogs let alone acknowledge their existence 😂 its extremely frustrating, though, that I can't get peace and quiet inside or outside. I can't even go tend to my garden without all the dogs barking at me nonstop! I can't mow the lawn, sit in a sun chair to relax, or even be outside.
It is frustrating for sure. Awesome that your dogs are not reactive to them. Our former Sheltie would walk over toward the other dogs and then just turn her back on them and lay down about 30 feet in front of them, ignoring them. It was a bit funny to watch.
I guess people with dogs don’t realize that high quality affordable drones exist with the capability to carry and drop treats for their barking dogs.
Out in the country most people don’t care but I understand rural areas that are closer together because it can get annoying if it’s loud

Thanks for the video. I'm now trying to find this unit in the UK after having a cheap one from ebay fail after about two days. I feel like sneaking around to my neighbours house and firing an airhorn through their letter box (slot in the front door for mail in the UK) at 3am and 4am every night for a week so that they understand what it's like to be woken up multiple times in the night by their barking dog.

My neighbors are the exact same! They have two mongrel dogs that bark all the time, one of which viciously charges at the fence when I hang up the washing or do yard work, AND they also leave on two bright spotlights all night every night!

This is an excellent review. I was about to buy this one and the black one they make which is a bit more expensive since we have a 500 foot property line with the problem dog family. But it looks like it won't work for my situation. We have a 5 acre property and the neighbors in question have a 3 acre property. They moved in and started coming over on our wooded and native vegetation area that we have enjoyed for a few years until they moved in (we own it and it was marked when we each bought). So we put up some rebar posts after a new survey to show the property line and they must have taken offense because now they are being inconsiderate in many ways. One of which is they bought a large German Shepherd and since they are well off and work from home they are outside with this dog all day long every day rain or shine. They train it and patrol their property like it's Area 51 -- especially our mutual property line. Whenever I or my spouse go out there on that side of our 5 acre property, the dog barks and growls aggressively at us while the owner allows it to run up to the property line growling aggressively. They buried an invisible fence right at the property line, clearing all the vegetation that was there removing some of the privacy we enjoyed from their vegetation and are trying to weed whack ours too when I'm not around. The owner never corrects the dog when it does this and doesn't even apologize. I once said "Sorry " and the owner said, "Don't worry, she has a fence - she wont get through." I guess she didn't think that I minded the growling and barking whenever I go out to that side of my property. Maybe they think it's a wild area and no man's land so I don't own it. This machine going off noticeably would incite further reprisal from these people as their dog barks a lot during the day when they are playing with him. Or when I'm over there. The owners would definitely hear this and see it as they are very focused on our wooded vegetation area. I also read that these devices can conflict with an invisible fence although I am not sure about that.

ADVICE:. Engrave the barking sounds of those criminal dogs into a MP3 then, use a huge amp and give your criminal neighbors a very sweet nocturnal concert.
All will asociate the sound with their criminal dogs so, you won´t have any problem and hopefuly your criminal neighbor will be sued because of your other neighbors...

From what I understand, humans are not supposed to hear it because the device is supposed to give out a signal, that is around 25kHz, which humans cannot hear but only the dog can.

I think I will be trying this for my next camp out with everybody and there brother has a dog. Don’t mind the occasional bark, but all day everyday with anything that moves! It has to stop or I can’t camp with these people anymore.
Now that's a idea. You would want to use it on Ultrasonic it or the other campers would be upset.
What I never understand is how the owners are sleeping at 2 am when the dogs are going nuts! We have one that is now bothering four different homes. I'm getting desperate here.

Same issue here in New Zealand, every bloody house has at least 1 dog. The owners simply do not care. I have a similar unit but sadly it does not work too much stuff in the way. The ultra sonic sound travels in straight lines and does not really go round corners.
It only works on straight line of sight. Around corners would be awesome!
Maybe one day they will make one that works around corners.
A solution to the madness!!!! We’ve been dealing with vicious nonstop barking for 3 years now! I’m losing my mind. Our neighbors dogs on both sides of our home bark for Hours on end and the owners are able to listen to this and be completely unbothered. A pit bull mix and a couple hound mixes plague our home, even inside their barking pierces right through our bedrooms. And it is endless.

@Mary Jane Laney Our other neighbors to the other side and the ones behind us did the same thing with schedules or calling each other to check if their dogs were in or out before letting their own dogs out. The ones behind us have 4 or 5 dogs, but they are pretty good with controlling the barking. However, one pittie started jumping the fence between us and coming into our yard and the neighbors yard. They even built a taller wood fence, but the pittie was able to scale it. Think they only let it out on a lead on the clothes line now. I appreciate that they knew they had a problem and dealt with it by building a taller fence and then tethering the escapee. I know they were frustrated by the issue as much as we were.
Ok, I'm sold. These neighbors are our nice ones. I don't think they are home and my hubs says this is the daughter's dog and she puts it out when she is gone. It's been driving me nuts off and on for months same side as our bedroom and office where I'm trying to do work. Shrill bark and jumping on their metal screen door with those nails. Waaaah!

Contact your local animal control office. There are noice ordinances that all dog owners must follow. If not, there are fines which keep increasing as the calls to the home increase, in some cases. Unfortunately, it takes a hit to the pocketbook to get some people to get the point of being considerate.
When using the remote you might have to turn off the automatic function and just use ON. I’m not sure though but maybe it will be helpful 😊

Wow, this is what I have been looking for now for several years. I even went so far as to purchase a window air conditioner for my bedroom so I could have the white noise to drown out the 3 huge dogs next door, it didn't do the trick. My wonderful wife used to complain day and night, she at last found peace up on the Green Hill Cemetery after cancer took her from me just 4 days following our 51st wedding anniversary. I have been looking at trying to build one of these for the practice in my electronic hobby but perhaps a quick order from our friends at Amazon may do the trick. GOD how I hate those barking dogs! The neighbors have window air conditioners in all the rooms of their house so I suppose it drowns out the noise, or perhaps they need it as a background to remind them of their home country of Mexico, I don't know but I do know those damn dogs are sure a pain.

Thank you, trying to source this in the UK as it seems to be the one that consistently works for people! Worth the price I reckon. My neighbours have two dogs that bark from 8:30 in the morning until 8:30pm at night, and on saturday nights our neighbour's teenage son sometimes has friends over and the dogs will bark from midnight to 2:00am as a result. The dogs are locked outside all of the time, of course. I'm hoping this solves the issue. Working from home has been difficult. :-(

You can only order it from America, but they ship to the UK and have a 60 day money back guarantee policy (you’d need to pay the return postage though)! It seems to have helped quite a bit. Our neighbour’s dogs do still bark, but nowhere near as much as before. I can’t say 100% for certain that it’s due to this device, as they did also move the dog’s enclosure around the same time that we started using it. However, there are days where they are barking and I pop the device out, and they do seem to calm down quite a bit. I’d say it’s worth a shot! It’s pretty expensive, but with the money back guarantee I’d say it’s worth a try. Bare in mind you’ll need a clear line of sight between the device and the dogs, though!

My husband believes that a barking dog should be "just subtracted from your attention" while I understand that he is one of the few people who can do that. Also, our dog has learned exactly the note that drives me insane. Our neighbors either get barking dog and/or a woman screaming, "for God's sake, HOW can you not understand what 'no bark' means"??? Obviously, neither option is a good one. This dog is the hardest dog I've ever met and after 11 years, I've come to the realization that she's a MUCH better human trainer than I will ever be a dog trainer. That said, she's lately decided that the only way we can watch TV is with the sound very nearly inaudible and closed captioning on. I refuse to allow a dog to tell me how I will spend my little recreation time. Hence this gizmo. Dear Lord, please let her be in the 97% that it works on!

have the same problem. Both neighbors on either side of us have huge ,barking dogs. I've been afraid to go outside for years ! The one neighbor has all these spotlights shining at our side of the house ! We have room darkening curtains.The dogs are out to do their business,than bark to go back in the house. He lets them out at 6 am, and 10/11 pm. Last night the dog barked so loudly, I woke up with a scare,my stomach hurt so badly. Our houses are so close..less than 5 ft. away from each other, we are old,so is he, doesn't he know we can hear him and his dogs ! We are the only house without dogs.

I bought this to stop MY dogs and my neighbors' dogs from reacting negatively to each other. I work 2nd & 3rd shifts. Blocking the doggie door created multiple UTI's, and one is older and dealing with leakage anyway. Put it right at the mutual fence - It didn't work. At all. They burned thru two 9volt batteries in days - no change whatsoever.
We used an A/C adapter on ours so we didn't have to use batteries. The sensor is directional and does not work in both directions. It worked well for us but may not on all dogs. Good luck finding a solution for you.

Former "friend" and neighbor told me there's really no way to stop a dog from barking and that I could have knocked on the door when I wanted to enjoy my back yard so she could bring the dog inside. How dumb and privileged do you have to be? I had dogs for eleven years and never had a complaint. I made sure to be responsible for my dogs.
