Blizzard meant a lot of things to everyone. Playing custom Warcraft 3 games with foreigners in BattleNet opened my world by teaching me English and has brought me the pleasure of having a deeper understanding of history and literature all over the world even when English isn't my native language. I met people here who I am still friends with to this very day. Just because Blizzard is now just a shell of what it once was doesn't mean we shouldn't celebrate what they once were. And for me their games were once a sanctuary that I can relax and be lost in. A whole other world filled with great lore, fantasy, memorable characters and sweet awesome gameplay.

Well I remember to this day that me and my dad were looking through some old CDs and we found the Warcraft 2 CD where my mom and dad used to play on when they were younger. And I asked my dad if I could try it and that game is the only reason why I speak English and the only reason that I love warcraft and even Lord of the Rings (because I didn't watch the LotR movies before, but I found out that it was the same genre as WarCraft) I wouldn't be here if warcraft didn't exist. And also in my opinion Warcraft 3 reforged isn't like that bad ( yes I know it wasn't the thing everyone was expecting, but they did what a remaster should do. And that is remaking the same game but polishing it with new graphics and sound effects and stuff.(yes I know that reforged has a ton of other problems but I think you get the point))

Warcraft Re-Reforged literally delivered more than Blizzard and it's a mod made by one guy. Normally I'd feel bad for overworked devs but even the models were outsourced to a Korean mobile game company. Two years and all you managed to do was remove features from classic and reskin the UI? What an absolute joke.

The entire Warcraft 3 story (Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne expansion) partially about Prince Arthas' downfall as a paladin to Death Knight before finally culminating in his rise as the new Lich King. There are other major stories that take place in the game as well through the other campaigns that are very interesting too (e.g. Thrall, Grom, Malfurion etc).
Warcraft 3 is the best game ever... I wonder how many people will start playing again.

This game should’ve had the current voice actors, actual cutscenes and cinematics that are 100% remastered. The only thing this game has going for it is the remodelled characters and environments.

I was 7 years old when WC3 was released and sadly I have no memory of playing through the campaign. All I remember is that I played against the "computer" (AI) and was always night elves. I remember the sound from the whisps and I LOOOVED making those tree-buildings who tossed rocks at the approaching enemies. Sometimes I also played as undead but it was night elf all the way. In World of warcraft I started to play in vanilla aswell, and I didn't know much english... But with time I learned more and more and I got to level 52. I have spent so many hours in world of warcraft that it would be embarassing to know just how many it is. (Always night elf). I love the music in Teldrassil and I am sad that it was burned down.... My "homeland".

I just finished playthrough of human campaign. Cuscenes are improved in a way: there are a lot of animations for new models made specifically for cutscenes. Character models are even have their mouth animation.

Looking back at this trailer and reading all the hype and excitement comments to this, man those comments didn't age well by the time this broken product released. While Diablo II Resurrected didn't pan out to be a disaster I do feel bad for the Warcraft III community who were given a game with broken promises and false advertising. Wished that Blizzard would be the company it used to be. Hopefully with Microsoft's purchase of Activision Blizzard maybe it will.

There were some things it did right. Deleting everyone's custom campaigns was the biggest shit show mistake it made. The unforgivably bad Deforged cutscene of Arthas VS Illidan that was outsourced to Taiiwan for cheap labor was another great sin. Frostmourne looked like a blowup toy balloon sword and Illidan looked weird AF. Also Arthas looks like a 50 year old drunk hobo. Most of the in game models I do like. I don't like the rewrites on some of the maps for WoW's sake but that's not major. (Sylvanas death area comes to mind). It was still nice to be able to play again and some of the new features are very welcome. Most importantly though it looks NOTHING like this...
and they abandoned the game entirely including disbanding the dev team and cutting funding
“No King Rules Forever My Son” I enjoyed my 20+ years playing Blizz games, but it seems now time to admit the soul is gone. Goodbye Bliz. I will truest never forget my first Orcs vs Humans experience, again, thank you and goodbye.
Please bring back the awesome realistic modern graphics from the 2018 demo! Bring the New UI too!
Game is absolutely horrific at the moment. I haven't played an online game without experiencing laggy or choppy game play, it is pathetic that Blizzard had a better version of the game 20 years ago...

More than 2 years since the trailer and I could only reminisince the hype and excitement for it
Too sad not to have this beauty in the actual gameplay =/
One small issue I have with this , is that the heroes seem smaller.
Heroes in Warcraft 3 are these big figures leading their troops with passive auras and game changing abillities.
I just hope they will be as noticeable and feel as important just perhaps more in prespective with their units

dota moved on to dota2 but there are other great maps like island troll tribes, uther party, vampirism (diffrent versions), wow arena allstars, escape gay heaven (and spinoffs), run kitty run, archers, ninja vs samurai, humans vs trolls, pudge/potm wars, various rpg maps and many maaaany more... I hope that old custom games will be compatible with Reforged
Maybe Warcraft III: Reforged Will be released this December.
The lighting looks much better in this
