The team who makes the cinematics is amazing and it's mind-boggling to me that Blizzard doesn't have any movies or shows in development with them. They're fantastic and would do great work with a larger audience.

Sylvanas sending two rogue-assassins to take out the former warchief of the horde is basically sending them on a suicide mission EDIT: I didn't expect so many people to see this comment, but imagine how cool it would be if there was a cinematic for Saurfang being escorted to the Stormwind portal room to get to Nagrand and seeing the Alliance citizens react... Just an interesting thought... especially since so many older citizens may actually know who he is.

Quite honestly, I don't agree with that. I think the visuals of current day WoW are amazing. They have the iconic comic style, but the zones look absolutely stunning and the environments are beautifully rendered. Sure, it's not the absolutely most demanding graphics out there, but that's by design.

@@edmonte7332 I would like that, i feel HBO, NetFlix, Amazon or the new Disney+ could take story and release it like a mini series or even a full fledge one, the history of arthas from rise to death has the drama to become a really envoloping story for even outside warcraft lore people, could even take a couple of seasons of a series, like arthas rise from child to paladin, and another season how he becomes the litch king and his death. I bet this could be made like GoT, there are lots of stories that would be great to see them in mini series.
If we accept the movie as cannon, the next step would be Tides of Darkness, Lord of the Clans, and Rise of the Lich King combined....starting with the childhoods of Varian, Arthas, Jaina, and Thrall, and having the Windrunner sisters as young warriors in the backdrop to the 2nd War led by Doomhammer.
Man. When I look closely at a piece of art, the flaws jump out at me. But this ... I see the dirty fingernails, the cracks of dry hands, the sunspots of age on Saurfang's skin. I see the change in Thrall's posture, cheeks and ears, when he's asked where his family is. The way his eyes lose focus as he processes the attack, and the way Saurfang looks him up and down as he evaluates him. This is remarkable work. Absolutely remarkable.
Superb indeed, this is the game i fell in love with, but it is being torn asunder with poor mechanicsand oversimplification. But the cinematics and lore are always the high point for me and it used to be the content up until this expansion. I hope they restabilize, they really don't have much wiggle room anymore for mistakes and plenty for improvement so let's hope they turn it around and listen to their fans.

Still, if you want to go through the gaming history (I don't mean just WarCraft gaming, but how gaming industry as a whole has changed), then they are worth playing through. WarCraft 3 will have a remake: WarCraft 3 Reforged. It should release this year, so it may worth waiting for the remake. Have fun.

It was. When they call something live action and literally CGI everything (including all sets) but 7+ actors and about 10 extras dont kid yourself it was very far from live action. To be honest i thing there should be a sub genre of live action that should be something like hybrid action or realistic animation to categorize things like that movie an others like it (like the "live action" Lion King)...
It's been said over and over again, I don't think you realize just how much time and money goes into these short 4-5 min movies, let alone how much would be needed for a two hour film.

i think it actually depends on the user and some rogues just hide while others have little control of shadow magic.
We finally know now that ghosts in starcraft are actually using ancient magics instead of futuristic tech. who knew?

By the way Thrall, while you were gone, this twitchy upstart shaman painted your doomhammer purple, used it to wipe out all the wildlife on the Broken Isles, and then accidentally blew it up while trying to infuse it with more power. We tried to stop him, but Khadgar kept giving him good boy points and it seemed to keep him from dancing naked on the mailbox so we didn't interfere. Hope you like that axe.

Quite honestly, I don't agree with that. I think the visuals of current day WoW are amazing. They have the iconic comic style, but the zones look absolutely stunning and the environments are beautifully rendered. Sure, it's not the absolutely most demanding graphics out there, but that's by design.

We need a Arthas / Lich King movie, that story line simply the best in Warcraft.

@@edmonte7332 I would like that, i feel HBO, NetFlix, Amazon or the new Disney+ could take story and release it like a mini series or even a full fledge one, the history of arthas from rise to death has the drama to become a really envoloping story for even outside warcraft lore people, could even take a couple of seasons of a series, like arthas rise from child to paladin, and another season how he becomes the litch king and his death. I bet this could be made like GoT, there are lots of stories that would be great to see them in mini series.

If we accept the movie as cannon, the next step would be Tides of Darkness, Lord of the Clans, and Rise of the Lich King combined....starting with the childhoods of Varian, Arthas, Jaina, and Thrall, and having the Windrunner sisters as young warriors in the backdrop to the 2nd War led by Doomhammer.
Man. When I look closely at a piece of art, the flaws jump out at me. But this ... I see the dirty fingernails, the cracks of dry hands, the sunspots of age on Saurfang's skin. I see the change in Thrall's posture, cheeks and ears, when he's asked where his family is. The way his eyes lose focus as he processes the attack, and the way Saurfang looks him up and down as he evaluates him.
This is remarkable work. Absolutely remarkable.

Superb indeed, this is the game i fell in love with, but it is being torn asunder with poor mechanicsand oversimplification. But the cinematics and lore are always the high point for me and it used to be the content up until this expansion. I hope they restabilize, they really don't have much wiggle room anymore for mistakes and plenty for improvement so let's hope they turn it around and listen to their fans.

Still, if you want to go through the gaming history (I don't mean just WarCraft gaming, but how gaming industry as a whole has changed), then they are worth playing through. WarCraft 3 will have a remake: WarCraft 3 Reforged. It should release this year, so it may worth waiting for the remake. Have fun.
I haven't played in years. I wish they'd release a single player game. Bethesda would be terrified of the lore alone.

It was. When they call something live action and literally CGI everything (including all sets) but 7+ actors and about 10 extras dont kid yourself it was very far from live action. To be honest i thing there should be a sub genre of live action that should be something like hybrid action or realistic animation to categorize things like that movie an others like it (like the "live action" Lion King)...

Holywood is fall apart, gaming industry make more income almost every day, they will keep this as always.
It's been said over and over again, I don't think you realize just how much time and money goes into these short 4-5 min movies, let alone how much would be needed for a two hour film.
@@TwoTwig I actually make short films as a hobby and I pay everything out of pocket. Granted they're no where near Hollywood quality, but I can understand how much time, money and effort goes into filmmaking. That said, I'm sure a $160million budget for an all CGI Warcraft movie would have done just as well, if not better than the live-action version.
