Get your fresh air in the days when ypu are there..but once you go sleep..lock up the place..even places with grills.. these thieves have grill cutters as well.. dont teck no check..always double check and tripple check

What is going on lately with these apartments in Kingston with security at that! I’m happy you weren’t alone and the major things were not taken. You both still have life and are safe glory to God. I pray this never happens again. No one deserves their sacred spaces defiled like that. Please move and please don’t give that apartment a third chance to fail you.
The problem is they’re using the apartments for airbnb. Just the other day I was saying this. Imagine living somewhere where every time you go to the pool you’re seeing strangers taking pictures. It literally defeats the whole point of having a security at the gate. anyone can book the Airbnb and have access to you.

I didn't leave then because of the same reasons you gave.. My neighbor has a camera facing my door I just wanted to know if someone came thru the door but made it look like the window because my window is facing the parking lot.. She refused and shooed me away. No shame at all. Stop saying it. You will prevail. God has a plan for you. He will lead the way. Main thing is your safety. This touch me and I'm glad you're ok.

Please rate that complex on Google so others can know how the management handles the building. If you can’t break your lease, put something dangerous at the window so you can trap the thief or injure the thief, and get your licensed firearm. Honestly, you should be able to break your lease with no repercussions because you were told you’d have the bars on the window and 6 months went by and it never happened. I hope you can get to move soon. This is horrible and I’m glad you had someone with you. I’m glad you made it because we could be hearing a different story right now. 💙

Even with a profit her refuses to pay. He was probably hoping you would pay for the grill so that he can have a fully done up place to rent for twice the money after you leave.

Always choose a larger gated community as you will have a smaller maintenance plus when some people don't pay, it won't be detrimental to affording security. When I was living in Liguanea there were always breaking in to the complex. The thing with Portmore is that many business men live here so anyone breaking in run the chance of getting seriously damaged or taken out ☝🏽
Stay strong and safe sis ❤ The Government of Jamaica should ensure that every shift at the police station includes personnel trained to handle cases of robbery, traffic violations, domestic abuse, and r*p! kiln* and general police matter. If the station is unable to address a particular case, they should connect individuals with the necessary resources and ensure follow-up on each case. Currently, some cases are being neglected without any further action. The police force in Jamaica must prioritize accountability to enhance public trust and safety. I hope the new Commissioner will address this matter!!

Last year I moved into my apt, bought all new furniture and told myself I will not move again until I buy my house. Literally 1yr later I got married. He already has a house fully furnished. I’m having to sell my stuff for way cheaper than I bought them and give away most of my stuff. Sometimes we plan but God a wipe but it always work out for the best. I was telling someone last year that I notice most apartments don't have grills, and it should be mandatory for all apartments. You can't even trust neighbors they are still strangers. I know some people are going to talk about cost, but prevention is better than cure. It happens often, and sometimes, worst, we just dont hear about it. As a society, our policies are reactive rather than proactive. Thank God you are safe, and you had your gentleman there.
We pushed against plastic bags, and now reusable bags are the norm. Grills are a necessity, especially to how dire our society is becoming, and there is no crime plan.
