I loved my old FS accessory hose with the smooth protruding thing and used it all the time with the jar sealer. I hate this one with the tightly wound hose and that green thing. CanNOT figure out how to insert the hose with the split protruding thing that goes into the sealer. I hope your video covers it. Fingers crossed. Disappointed. The demo is using the good one with the smooth projection it looks like. Going to subscribe and hope you've done one with the hose I hate.
Can I leave the tube inserted into the port of the machine all the time, even when sealing bags? (I had a devil of a time getting it all the way into the port.)
Make sure you are twisting when you insert the hose. You should be able to leave it in because you are going to use a different button when sealing with the accessory port versus the actual sealer on the machine.
Ours is a modelfm2400 series and the port is lower down on the lid like you mentioned. The problem is it doesn’t screw on as easily as you show. We push and twist and it just doesn’t want to stay in there. Any ideas?
Our accessory port is green but the plastic at the end of the tube we were using is gray. Apparently the color needs to match. So we pulled apart the? Vacuum thing from the other tube that came with the accessories we bought. It’s the thing that attaches to vacuum a container that looks like a bowl. One end of that tube has what looks like a green clip and the other end is a larger piece that has a small empty chamber with a lid. You pull the lid off the bottom chamber and set it aside. That lid attaches to the lid of the white lid that goes on the jar. Hopefully that makes some sense. We’re able to connect all the parts now but it takes a few tries for every jar. Sometimes when carefully removing the white lid from the jar the metal lid comes off too.
Hello! I have an older Foodsaver with the accessory port. I bought a set of Foodsaver Fresh container with the green oblong button in the middle and a small green button that dimples when sealed. However, I can not figure out what kind of attachment I need to use these containers. Can you provide a name or a link please? Kindly, Tammy
I'm sorry I missed your comment. I'm not sure what the question is. If you still have the question can you ask again. It appears a word was missing and I'm not sure what you meant to ask.
Some FoodSavers have a port and some have the vacuum sealing attachment directly connected to the vacuum sealer. And I believe some FoodSavers have neither. Here is my vacuum sealing playlist that you might find useful depending on your model. (I will be adding more videos to this playlist soon). ua-cam.com/play/PLBitkFTkTcZU5xW5_mvsdn8Tmnb-yR9Ij.html
The plug that plugs in to the accessory port is extremely port design and will always break, paired with the fact the plug is not replaceable ( you have to buy the entire plug hose and adapter) it seems it is only designed that way so it provides an income stream to foodsaver/sunbeam.😡
What FoodSaver questions do you have for me? Are there any other FoodSaver videos you'd like to see me make?
Thank you. I had been in my kitchen for 2 hours trying to figure this out. In minutes, you answered all my questions.
I'm so glad to hear it was helpful!

My gamesaver does the same thing. I twist and twist but it doesn't go in. How do I fix this?

Thank you very much for the video. Is there an adapter to the fresh boxes with the V 2860?
