      @@cyclemaintenanceacademy I've got the vseat saddle and don't have much space on my saddle clamp to move it back.
      I wish the saddle had longer rails... What's the part I'd need to be able to move it further back? I'm looking for saddle clamps but that's just the clamp for the seat tube to frame

    Hi, wonder if you can help...I have the first type of seat clamp, I installed the clamp on the bike seat, all good...my question is, how to secure the seat to the pole so it doesn't come out by lifting it? The bolts tighting is only to adjust seat position (sliding front/back)...thank you

    • @cyclemaintenanceacademy
      @cyclemaintenanceacademy  Рік тому

      Hi. thanks for your question and apologies for not replying sooner. The side bolt will adjust the position of the saddle but also tighten the saddle to the seatpost clamp.

    Hi, I have the second kind of sadle, but when I want to adjust the angle, the bottom part seems to be stick to the seatpost, any guess why? Thank you.

      Hi Mauricio, thanks for the comment and apologies for not replying sonner. I just came back from my well deserved holiday:). That's a tricky one without seing it. I'll be honest, I'm not sure why the bottom part sticks to the seat post.Try to gently tap it with a mallet and see if that will release it. I hope this helps:)

    or because it's been knicked by the local crackheads. not sure why they'd steal a saddle and post but here we are hah, luckily nothing valuable.

    • @cyclemaintenanceacademy
      @cyclemaintenanceacademy  7 місяців тому

      Hey, sorry to hear that. They do this for a few reasons. One is pretty straightforward - they either want to use the parts on their own bikes or make a bit of cash selling them. The second reason is more sneaky; they might nick the saddle or front wheel, making the bike unusable for a while. The owner leaves the bike until he/she can get a replacement. This gives the thieves the opportunity to come back later, mess with the bike lock, and steal the bike. I hope that you have your bike back on the road with a new comfy saddle.
