The intellectualism of actors outside North America is a giant contrast. Gael is an actual artist invested in history of art/philosophy/semiotics. If all actors involved in popular film had his insight, celebrity worship would be a worthwhile faith.
zell8888 I agree. Unfortunately most American actors have only the perspective of someone who hasn't lived in another place other than the States. I can name a couple off the top of my head who are actually cultured outside of their immediate sphere of influence, but yet, they continue to be a minority.
I live in Chicago, Illinois and have discovered this fantastic, great actor through a Mexican friend of mine. Not only does he excel in ever movie he does, but I admire his love of family, and country. He also is not afraid to speak up about the awful things going on in Mexico. Unfortunately living in the Chicago area, we do not get his movie as soon as they come out,. His interview with Sir David Frost was the best interview I have ever seen. Oh and by the way, he is gorgeous. c
I saw this movie a couple of weeks ago. Brilliant, hauntingly beautiful film. Really made me want to grab a hot cup of tea and sit and ponder life. Gael Garcia Bernal and the others really did their roles justice
