Gael Garcia was a gentleman. He came around to shake all of our hands of everyone in the orchestra. I played violin. They wanted real musicians not actors who would fake play because that would make the orchestra more realistic. He was so naturally funny. I would love to do the last season!
Man, as someone who could not stand classical music and rides motorcycles in my free time this show changed my life and made me appreciate the work and real beauty in orchestral music while being so funny and entertaining. I feel like most people do and the final season/ending was just a kick in the gut, it needs to come back, the talent and quality was amazing and I feel that rodrigo has so much more to give now that the social climate has changed since 2014. LIKE IF YOU AGREE!!!

Just binged all 4 seasons. This is a brilliant show, better than anything on Netflix or Disney+ right now. It deserves a proper ending, they should give it a 5th season.
This was one of the most wholesome TV-shows I've ever watched. If you could do one last season to end everything properly and show, if Hailey and Rodrigo get back together, I would be so happy!!! ❤️
At the beginning of the series, which introduces Rodrigo (played by Gael Garcia Bernal) as the new Maestro of the fictional New York Symphony Orchestra as well as several other supporting cast classical musicians, “the blood” is not fundamental to the show nor is it valued or understood by the characters, even Rodrigo himself. There are several characters introduced in the first episode, most of whom are accomplished musicians, except for the Hailey Rutledge (played by Lola Kirke, hereon referred to as Hai Lai for obvious reasons). Hai Lai has played the oboe her entire life, with the goal of one day playing in the New York Symphony. She briefly achieves this goal, when Rodrigo hears her play, concludes that she “does not play flawlessly but plays with blood,” which for him was reason enough to make space for her in his orchestra. But Hai Lai fails, and fails dramatically, she is prematurely cut from the Symphony and Betty Cragdale is very satisfied. 2nd paragraph of my essay on this show
