I use both products. PBW is a must for me post-brew. I only use BKF if I have those tough stains, or I really want my kettle to shine. Great video. 👍🏼🍻
Brewkeepers friend will remove the active iron particles if there are any. As it is an acid it will clean the metal good and prepare the layer for passivation. Rinse and let air dry and viola your pot is passified
Always remember seeing Barkeeper’s Friend in my grandmother’s cleaning supplies when I was a kid
Mine too! Grandma’s are the OG. They know the best stuff.
Woah! The haircut!! I hardly recognized you! Content continues to be great!

Thanks man! Feels good.
Great tutorial! I just recently discovered the magic that is barkeepers friend. My stovetop and stainless appliances have never looked so shiny!
Yes! I think it’s essential around the brewery and the house.
Great tip. Will definitely look for Bar Keepers Friend.
It’s super useful outside of brewing as well!
I’m so impressed with your cleaning abilities and your pride in your brewing tools. Who taught you those excellent cleaning skills?

Thanks Cove! Lots of elbow grease
Great stuff, PBW is legit! I usually end up recirculating through my kettle, chiller, pump and fermenter and it works like a charm!
Yeah, I’ve gotta get my recirc set up, but it also cleans the lines like a charm.
Thanks for the vid, great info for the cleaning and now interested in the whole passivating thing! Cheers!
Thanks! Yeah I really teased that didn’t I?

I use my brew kettle as a chamber pot since I brew so seldom.
Oh no!
Have you ever tried 100 percent Sodium Percarbonate, it's one of the ingredients in oxi clean but Oxi Clean is only 30 percent Sodium Percarbonate.
That was a dirty kettle.
It would have been cool to brew the same beer before and after to see if flavour improves.
Dang! That would have been cool. And I know I let it get away from me…
