Great video - helped me understand how each of the products works. One point I would add is that if your water is hard like mine, acid rinse sanitisers are not properly effective (if the solution turns milky this is the case). I make buy 5l of deionised water and make up a batch with 6 ml of StarSan.
Hi Richard, the solution turning cloudy is a sign that the water chemistry isn't correct but, not definitely. As long is the PH is 3 or under, all good
Thanks for the info. Was about to buy some sodium percarbonate and didn't know it's not as effective in hard water areas. Will look at Chemclean instead I think
Thx for confirming I do everything all right. For items like plastic fermenters I currently pbw and sanitize after AND before use. Do you think that’s overkill?
shocked this video doesn't have more views. incredibly useful information, presented in an organized, authoritative fashion. Thank you!
Awesome thank you Rob. Stuff I didn't know I needed to know! "immediately dispenses with VWP for cleaning kegs and Gf*
I like the idea of steam cleaning. The heat is a very good steriliser.
Still solid advice after 3 years! 👍🏻👌🏻
Glad to hear it!

Sodium PERcarbonate!
Thought you were talking about Bicarbonate at first!
Nice one for sharing - top vid
Which of these products for cleaning glasses to get them beer clean ?
seems to be confusion about sodium percarbonate - rinse or no rinse?
We always rinse after cleaning, with any detergent. Then sanitise
