Alot of people have complained about it not having 32 bit float... Here's the reason they did not "32 Bit float audio recording is supposed to make internal recordings un-clippable", but sadly this is not fully true as it does not prevent the microphone capsule from overloading on loud noises - which will also cause the recording to clip. With Profile Wireless we have chosen another path to minimize the risk of audio clipping: Internal stereo-recording Instead of increasing from 24 to 32 bit our Profile Wireless features stereo recording on its internal microphone that records with two different audio levels thereby maximizing the used audio bandwidth of the microphone capsule and reducing the chance of clipped audio. Stereo recording is also applicable when an external lavalier is connected,." Whether that's true or not, 🤷🏽 But I'm really interested in getting this. Thanx for the review Jai
If this is in relation to recording -6db lower volume for safety, what they are saying is a valid alternative. A lot of high end Mic Preamps like Neve have alternate -6db output separate from the regular analog output so if you drive the preamp harder (louder) you won’t distort the output signal.
Currently testing this mic system and Sennheiser made a "fun"product with great sound BUT it's missing the pro features that are offered by competitors at this price point. It's also really quirky "gesture interface" aka too many swipes on small screen. You're gonna love the Saramonic Ultra, it will end your search for "best wireless lab mic system" if you don't mind the faux leather texture. Going to return my Sennheiser Profile 2 and wait for a "Pro" Variant.

Even when you are record music and instruments you don't normally use 32 bit.
It's nice to have but you don't need it if you know what you're doing.
Thanks for the good review 👌🏻👍🏻 Looked very promising on paper.
