Totally agree with Bill on Ohtani here. He’s the armor that makes you feel invincible and makes the whole line up to have faith and perform. Doesn’t have to be Shohei every game, but the belief that everyone in the lineup can step up.
Plus, other teams have been making bullpen choices to specifically pitch around Ohtani all post-season. Setting up Mookie and the other right handed hitters for a good matchup. Just his presence in the lineup has been huge.
Subluxation = Popped out of the socket, once popped back in, he will be a little sore but should be fine. Only issue is that he will be prone to pop it again until he has surgery, but people can live normally for the rest of their life with no issue, even a ball player.
Wrong, and premature prognosis. Subluxation is a partial displacement of the shoulder, not a full separation where it completely dislocates and might be popped back in. We won't know the severity of the injury and prognosis until after an MRI is done.
We don't get passed Padres and Mets without Shohei. Shohei doesn't have to play to have earned this ring. If the whole point of playing is to get a ring, Shohei should risk it cuz next year has no guarantees.
I hope Ohtani's injury is not too serious. I want him to be a big part of this series and to enjoy what has taken him seven years to reach in MLB. As for the slide that resulted in that injury, I have a couple of observations. This is the second steal attempt he's made in the series where he didn't look right at all. He didn't have a great jump, as if he's not timing the pitcher very well, and his slide was not typical of his usual slides. He looked like he was starting the slide at the wrong spot and got messed up trying to reach the bag smoothly as he usually does. So he sprawled over the bag awkwardly in a heap, and prior to that extended his left arm more than usual in bracing himself. I've seen him steal second many times, and neither of the recent slides looked like the usual Ohtani slide. Maybe he's over-anxious and losing his typical slide mechanics, but he definitely hasn't looked smooth with the last two steal attempts.
One player can't win a game. The Angels had Ohtani and Trout for several years, and they didn't do a thing as a team. Having Ohtani helps, but other players on the team have to their part. Michael Jordan began winning championship only after Scottie and a few others joined the team. The Dodgers will and should win this series against NYC even if Ohtani is out for the rest of the series, given how loaded their lineup is.
Bill tries SO HARD to be funny and its just cringe. And Dylan's takes are never analytical but more like complete hyperbole. Saying Ohtani missing the series would hamper his HoF potential is laughable. Downplaying his role in getting the dodgers here and how much it doesn't change the lineup dynamic... Come on. Ohtani at the top is HUGELY important even if he isn't hitting well so far this series.
I couldn't care less about having Ice Cube with the opening "musical" presentation to hype the crowd. I switched to a different channel. The guy is so mock serious and his acting is terrible, so I thought it was more obnoxious than inspiring.
characteristics of MAGA singles in their 30s and 40s ・hate ohtani ・don't understand the difference between japan and china ・love playstation, pokemon, and anime (all made in japan)
How can you see the walk off grand slam by Freddie Freeman in game 1 and not absolutely love baseball? or when a once in forever player like Shohei Ohtani shows up.

Ohtani can only take us this far.

Roberts is optimistic about Ohtani's injury, but I think Shohei will play in Game 4 even if he stops him.🧢📆
Didn’t Trevor Story from the Redsox have a dislocation and had to get surgery and miss 5 months
Ice Trey 😂
Rapper Actor Ice Tray, OShea Jackson.
Ohtani can just switch it up bat right-handed.
Whatever Bill says, the opposite is true
Ice Tray! LOL
There already up 2-0 they can afford to rest him for one game

Baseball is a team sport. One guy does not decide a series.
Tired of hearing about othani and judge respectfully
I still like the YANKEES IN 6...😅😅😅
Baseball? Is this the 1800s?
Your point? Everyone has their sport: savvy? Why you trolling like a … ?
