As much as many Longhorn fans seem to love Madden Faraimo, Elijah Barnes is the best Middle Linebacker in the 2025 Recruiting Class. Barnes is the absolute perfect replacement for Anthony Hill.

I prefer Madden slightly because he’s shown better coverage ability.
Elijah is better at attacking and tackling, and Madden can drop back and cover. Plus Madden has more versatility. He’s shown he can come off the edge and play outside too.

If Michael Terry is as good as he seems to be, then he can get to play a lot in his first yeart at Texas, plus he will have the players around him to make him a great player...

With Michael Terry, it feels like he's battling with himself. At nebraska, he can play immediately, which most players want to do. Its what they've done their whole life.
At texas, where I think he wants to be, the good news is the bad news: texas has great depth. The bad news is, texas has great depth. Which means MT3 is gonna have to wait and learn and he's afraid he'll get lost.

He won’t wait to play , you see true freshman making an impact at Texas every single year. What he will do is compete for reps , at a Nebraska he would be show cased more earlier. I think it’s an easy decision for the young man I for see him going to the 40
@@ItachiUchilla-s7f you do see a few fr playing but not as many as you think. J. Gibson is playing primarily bc of significant injuries to the rb's. Several of the receivers are redshirts. There is R. Wingo. The others are transfers.
No fr tight ends or qb's.
Regardless, its tough. And MT3 will be learning three positions.
Its just silly to say it's an easy decision. For know-it-alls like you, living somebody else's life is always easy.

@@Mark-zx2bq yes, of course. But thats a bit simple. MT3 looks at texas and of course thinks about the championship. But what if in the process, he doesn't develop at the rate he wants to, bc of the hard-to-break-through depth, or the
way he could develop at nebraska, and he stays the same and doesn't have a pro career bc he chose the wrong school. Yes, texas wins a championship, but he never fully developed in the way he needed to and has an disappointing job at some insurance job.
Of course, he can transfer, but we're just talking about this one decision.

Too early in the season to think this is gonna be a great season for the horns lets atleast wait to see how they do in conference play. You gotta do amazing in the SEC to keep recruits and make a run in the playoffs.
