1. Lance Jackson has the physical definition and physique to be the nation's most dominant Strongside Defensive End by his Junior year at Texas. Pairing him with Colton Vasek at that position in the future will allow Texas to literally be dominant on their Defensive Line. 2. Jonah Williams has long been a 5 Star Recruit. He has been listed as the 10th best recruit in the nation for a while. However, his ability demands he be ranked even higher. I would say he's just outside the top 5 recruits in the nation. 3. Harlem Berry is probably the closest comparison of Jamaal Charles since Charles left Texas as a Junior after the 2007 season. Berry runs a 10.5 100 Meter Dash while Charles ran 10.1. 4. Elijah Barnes is unquestionably the best Middle Linebacker, and probably the best overall Linebacker in the 2025 Recruiting Class. It's unfortunate that Riley Pettijohn apparently did not want to play at the same school Barnes played at, since they were basically the 2 best Linebackers from the state of Texas, as well as the 2 best Linebackers in the entire nation. Also, I think and I hope that Texas gets four legitimate difference makers at Defensive Tackle in their 2025 Recruiting Class. They currently have two of the best Defensive Tackles in the class. Remember when Texas announced they were joining the SEC and people laughed? Year 1… currently number #1 in the country with TWO heisman level qbs and getting whoever the hell they want to play for them since they aren’t in the big 12. The only thing holding them back was the lack of exposure from the big 12. Who the hell is going to actually chose living in Alabama over Austin? 😂 the SEC runs through Texas now.
I’m not sure why anyone would have laughed when Texas joined the SEC. With the background in the conference and the recruiting ability of Coach Sark, it makes sense that the Longhorns would have every opportunity to win a spot amongst the upper teams in the SEC. As someone with family who have attended both UT and UA, and family members currently residing in both states (I live in Carolina), I would rather live in Alabama if I had to choose between the two. I’d also recommend pumping the brakes a bit on blatant statements like the SEC running through Texas. Being part of the top shelf is one thing, owning everyone long term is another thing completely. Colt McCoy was a 2-star until he stepped onto campus. SUDDENLY he was now a magical 3-stars... whooo hooo. Did that do him ANY good at all? NO. He ended up with a 15-year paycheck-career in the NFL. Never a star, but fifteen years? What college student wouldn't LOVE to have 15 years of those paycheck?!! Compare Chrissy Simms - 5 stars, Nation's #1 offensive recruit. After years under Mack Brown, Chrissy ends up not as #1, or #10... but #88 draftee. The same year, Mack signed 5-star Cory Redding - the nation's #1 Defensive Recruit. He ends up only as the #68 draft. He did have a godo journeyman NFL career for a long time. But these stars DO NOTHING in the end.
So Texas got 3 bumps to 5 stars, but George Macintyre, who was a 5 star prior to sitting out the 7 on 7 BS DUE TO INJURY, & even after he’s balling out, right there in Nashville, next door to your studio essentially, and he’s not gone back upto a 5 star? Gee, imagine that 😂 these rankings are a complete joke at this point….

Texas recently got the verbal commitment of a 2026 recruit from Carrollton, Georgia, Zelus Hicks. There has been some discussion about him reclassifying to the 2025 Recruiting Class. "Hook Em"
