Subaru, having never resolved his mental conflict as he did in Episode 18, struggles with his mental health, unemployment, as well as an unexpected enemy. We also get to learn a lot more about Halibel, and Kararagi as a whole.

@@seven4280 Subaru could get away by saying that (getting around the return by death penalty) saying during the first days he was at the mansion he and rem worked he had a nightmare do to how cold rem was with him at first (I mean, it wouldn't be a lie. he did had nightmares)
sure it would make rem feel a little insecure because from her point of view subaru had nightmares from her (and ram) during the first days they met, but maybe it could score him bonus points because from her perspective that would mean he still saved her from mabeasts despite being scared from her at the moment

Guess Halibel is just a chill guy who's up for whatever. Hope canon Subaru runs into him at some point they seem to always become good friends.
@@zenoblues7787 In Wrath, Subaru sees him not as a friend, but more like an employee he’s willing to dispose of if necessary. Here in Sloth they seem to be genuine homies. I hope in the later arcs they do become at least allies.
@thatoneguy5343 While true, Wrath Halibel claims he genuinely wanted to be Subaru's friend. In spite of Subaru never seeing Halibel in color, he never betrays him. He only leaves because Subaru tells him to.
It brings into question what exactly he values in people.
@@zenoblues7787 Halibel is going to be very interesting in the main story. From what I’ve watched from the Sloth What If, he seems like the type of guy who’s very chill and wise and someone you can genuinely confide in. I can see Subaru confining in him with his struggles and personal feelings that he keeps hidden from everyone else. Of course Subaru can’t confine in him things such as RBD due to Satella/Envy’s curse, but I can see Subaru, out of all of his allies, trusting Halibel the most, if you get what I mean.
I wish WhiteFox would make an OVA or Movie about this. It would make alot of sense because this was Rem's final thought before her name and memories we're devoured and it would make alot of Rem Fans super happy.
I feel like post season 2, maaaaaaybe in the midseason break we'll at least hear news of one. It would help keep rem die-hards around and would make a good ova. Honestly, if they thought it through well enough, they'll have already slotted a season 3 and break the rem if story into two ovas. One after season 2 and one after season 3.

But considering how many die-hard rem fans are out there, at least one Rem If OVA would, from the perspective of their finances at least, make much more sense. It would help keep those fans around, as well as be popular in general and, as such, a good seller.

I think that will happen tbh. In every IF Route Halibel is in, he protects Subaru, so I'm guessing it'll be the same way in canon.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who likes Halibel, even though he probably could be doing something better, he's a really chill guy. Love how it shows Rem's overbearing nature even in the face of a great spirit. Sex with Rem is like Subaru's mayonnaise

Don’t worry, I like Halibel as well. He’s just a charismatic legend.
Halibel is my favorite character. He's more than charismatic, he's actually really really sweet also. In the Wrath IF, when Subaru was being hunted down by Reindhart and when he was attacked by Frederica, Halibel protected him and didn't want to leave Subaru behind, and explained how he wanted to be Subaru's friend.

The cool thing about this story is that by the end, Subaru actually becomes a good person just like in the main story. It just takes him much longer, hence the name Sloth

Thinking, perhaps, _perhaps_ , Emilia isn’t actually dead? It’s a reach, but technically the only time she’s been previously shown to die (with Subaru and Rem elsewhere) was when the cultists took them prisoner beforehand. It’s not as if no knights exist (besides Reinhardt) that are capable of eradicating the cult, it’s just that they were unlikely to be there without reason.
Not to say there weren’t several deaths involved in that outcome as well, but them leaving her to her fate isn’t necessarily her definitely dying?
@@alecLogan But Reinhard is the only guy that's capable of eradicating the WHOLE cult, with it's archbishops and Pandora because other knights would just find themselves dead. Also, even if Puck really had to go on a rampage I highly doubt that he would make it that far to actually kill thousands of people and he'll be spotted right away, killed by Reinhard and it's done. It was always really funny to me that the author really just said that throughout the whole plot of show, matter how many more powerful characters he'll introduce, it'll never change the fact that Reinhard is the most powerful character there is and he did say that in ReZero world there was no one even as strong as him in the past, in the present and even in the future.
Nah, Reinhardt doesnt need to use muscles, speed or skills to defeat Puck or anyone, he has cheatcodes from the writer. Divine Protection of wishing anything and it become true. Divine protection of auto defense against anything, of being frozen to death, disease and more. The only weakness he suffered are stupidity or plotwise, as he could wish to detect the witch cult and he would find them and they wouldnt be able to kill him. But the story would end without Subaru even lifting a hand

Ram made it actually. She is in the sanctuary at this point of the story if I remember correctly. Her and clown magic guy went there with half the town. forgot if that was after
@@jaltersimp9639 i think ram only goes to sanctuary in the timeline subaru convinces them to evacuate. otherwise, ram gets killed alognside everyone else at the mansion by either cultists or puck (as seen in the first loop where subaru sees everyone death, thanks to rem, ram was able to at least protect petra if only for minutes longer. in the second try, she probably died earlier)
