Surprisingly, Nick Kamen was very little known in the US despite being produced by Madonna and her main collaborator Patrick Leonard. Even in the UK he was never particularly popular, especially compared to other popstars of the era. He was close to being just a one-hit wonder (his only bona-fide hit was Each Time You Break Heart). But he was huge in Italy, for some reason.

Not quite as good as the legendary Four Tops' 1966 original (although that would have been one hell of a trick of it had been!)... He would have one further minor Top 40 hit thereafter, then he was gone... But Nick had a decent voice, he deserved so much more IMO... Little-known fact - this song was actually co-written by Stevie Wonder
Never heard this song before or this singer. I can understand why this didn't do well in the US. Singer is trying to look like Elvis. It's a good song though.
This is what happens when you take a Levi’s model and try to use Madonna producers to make an artist. It just fails miserably. No wonder he never caught fire in US or elsewhere.
